Så underbart!!! Detta får mig att sakna kören så mycket!! Måste öva 40 timmar om dagen så att jag kan inte gör bort mig innan vi får börja sjunga igen.
Yay, new batch of videos! Lovely performance! I've got to ask, this piece is generally performed by most a bit slower than how it is written. Andante is supposed to be a bit faster is it not? I suppose everyone's walking pace is different but hey, I am curious. :)
Thanks a bunch! Interesting remark. This is basically how I'm (Mats, B2 singer in the choir) used to perform it, slowing down quite a lot in the end and in my opinion it fits the text and mood well. You want to avoid the risk of feeling that the music is rushed.
@@route909 Slower absolutely fits the mood, and also allows for all the beautiful 1/16ths to be heard. What my choir also does dramatically: bridge the first comma, makes the _introduction_ of the other voices obvious. Then shortening the notes vit - som, adding noticeable pauses after; snö held out, and a greater pause. That pause makes the contrast to the following higher starting volume, and following phrasing / small cresc greater. Sorry, got no recording of it. Slow though is our Koppången open.spotify.com/track/7lDDhLsce4ZEG2l0np2E9r (there I like Bogo, Deck in 7/8 just for fun, maybe Musevisa). We're just a fairly lax once-a-week choir.

I find that the text and the mood requires it to be bit slow as well. Kind of brings out the energy from the "Poco Animato" part.
