It's a shame you couldn't get to 220, maybe without a passenger you would have. Speedo are very accurate on this car. Strange smoke at the end.

Yup. It was quite strange, there were no warning lights, and after we stopped, there didn't seem like there were any problems anymore 😅

Wasn't a rotary failure, sometimes the oil injectors get a bit carried away when slowing down from a high-speed run, the effect is a nice plume puffing out the back end. Fix is, slow her to highway speed, baby the throttle a bit to burn off the access, and you are squared away.
In the 5 speed it's best to stretch the 4th gear as much as possible. You can top 4th at 202KM/h. In 5th, you're pretty much lugging the engine due to shitty gear ratios, therefore overheating, which is what happened here.
It actually "overheated" in 3rd gear at higher revs, before the top speed run happened :)

I am aware of that! But after what happened at the end of the video, I wasn't going to do that anymore, haha. Top speed was still reached though.

Honestly very slow for 192hp. I have Mazda6. 2005 2 litres petrol 140 hp top speed 230 km/h

It's a 5 speed
