My Top 10 Credits Themes medley had it's comment section DESTROYED by how many people asked for this. I was extremely reluctant to do it since 1. It's not technically an original video game song and 2. It's fucking Dragonforce. But alas here we are. Caleb came into town to work on stuff with Jon and Rich and we decided to just pull this one out, ezpz.
Needless to say this is probably one of the most technical covers I have on this channel now rivaling Trial of Thunder and Enmity of the Dark Lord (ironically both Danny Baranowsky, hmm). It took a lot of work to get all these solos down. I hope you guys enjoy the video game references I threw in. Can you find all four? Lemmie know which ones in the comments!

seeing this song played on a real instrument really hammers home how much of an inhuman endurance test it is. forget the memorization and the execution, being able to keep it up for pushing 8 minutes at that pace CONSTANTLY has to be painful and exhausting even for a veteran.

Sure, but he's clearly struggling a bit with the higher notes.
Señor Snout I dunno he's very good at hitting higher notes, just an example, listen to his RWBY cover, can't remember whether it's Time to Say Goodbye or This Will Be The Day but he hits the high's really well
You don't have to have a wide vocal range to have a good singing voice (although it obviously helps)
He's not struggling at all, IMO. What you're hearing is what it's like when you're at the concert and hearing them in person, rather than the studio version. Heard them sing it only a few years back and it was great.
He's having a ton of fun with the performance which sells it even more.

I'm not a huge Dragonforce fan myself; but this was a pretty nice cover. I'm sure most of the praise will go towards Jules' playing; but Caleb did a great job of emulating the vocals as well.
Ibun West his voice can be a little rough when compared to the original, but I don't necessarily thinks that's a bad thing. he did an amazing job.
I love the slight roughness to his voice. It sounds fuller, more resonant, more bassy and less treble-y than the original if my memory serves. Only just, but still. I love it.
I also loved how his voiced seemed to be pushed to it's limits at points. As a former singer myself, pushing to the limits of what I could pull off really brought back memories.
You know you've listened Through The Tables and Memes too much when you forgot what the actual words were and just filtered in the meme version.

As much as I like his covers, from what I've seen of him, he'd get chewed up and spat out. I mean, we're talking about a genre where bands like Lost Horizon can rise and fall in the span of a couple of years, we're talking about a genre where the likes of Unleash the Archers and Battle Beast can't get good footing.
It's an over-saturated market, and you need beyond god-like vocal talent to shine.

I forgot this song. I honestly did. I'm happy you did it justice. I was sitting here thinking 'Let's see how well he does.' The guitar seemed like it could be shaky at first, but held up really strong. Then I was going 'Okay, now for the singing... Can he meet that high standard?' And... He met it. I'm glad you did this, as it feels really strong and has a different sound but honors the original. Congratulations on a song very well done.

The nostalgia is real. I remember practicing this song over and over again on GH3 probably 4-5 years ago. It all culminated in me being able to reach into the 85-95% on Expert. Thank you for reminding me of the good ol' days

Same but I was able to beat it at least a year later sometime after Guitar Hero World Tour was released. At first, I used a rubber band on the green fret to aid me through the intro. Then I learned how to two-hand tap the intro. Now I can nearly one-hand tap the intro (as of 6-7 years ago). At this point, TTFAF is more of a warm-up song to me, but I still can't 100% it on any of the available games.

THIS WAS SO EPIC!!!! I came back to comment here after seeing your April Fools video yesterday (which was just amazing). I really thought Caleb did an amazing performance in both this video and your Credits Theme video. I really reeeaaallly love Caleb's voice, it's just so good!!! But I was curious if you were thinking of uploading an instrumental version too, you're guitar playing is just awesome (plus you even added references of some of my favorite games).
I also found the four references in here, there was Big Blue, Green Greens, Super Mario, and it took a couple of times to find that song from Banjo Kazooie.
