Jobs in IT, especially Cyberseurity will always be difficult to get. Why? Because employers are always looking to hire people with professional experience on specific tools instead of an individuals understanding of the underlying concepts that tools are based on. Imagine a auto shop looking to hire a mechanic, but rules candidates out because they haven't worked on a specific model of car---even though all the cars the shop services are combustion engine cars. It's nothing new. You can see this on 99% of IT job listings. A major flaw in the system.
It really depends on the organization. I interviewed with a large national software retailer. They explained that they did not care so much that I had different experience on tools they did not use, but were more interested in theoretical knowledge competency. They had a training pipeline to bring people up to speed on their particular tooling. While it is tough out there, there are still openings. Only aggressive applying and peak hands-on portfolio will stand out in this hell market right now.
you say infrastructure are you talking about cloud? A perfect storm is brewing in the United States. Inflation, bank collapse, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place. It's all coming together and it could lead to a real disaster towards the end of this year (or sooner). With inflation currently at about 6%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.
These are the conditions in which life-changing money is made by those who remain calm, patient, and take controlled risks. Volatility goes both ways. The bigger the red candles, the bigger the green ones.
Investing in stocks can be a wise decision, especially if you have a dependable trading system that can lead to successful outcomes. Personally, I've been working with a financial advisor for about a year now. Starting with less than $200K and I'm now just $19,000 away from making half a million in profit.

When ‘Laura Grace Abels ’ is trading, there's no nonsense and no excuses. She wins the trade and you win. Take the loss, I promise she'll take one with you.
The CourseCareers final exam is proctored and the employers get to see the final results. I saw a testimonial of a student recently being hired 2 weeks after graduating because they did so great on the final exam! Great video
The problem I noticed is that most cybersecurity jobs look more like developer than hacker jobs, but way too many people think the way to a job is to load out their resume like they are a pentester no matter what they are going for. I swear some people defend Hack the Box against any criticism whatsoever like it is their religion. I dropped calling myself a cybersecurity professional because I think those people make the label toxic.
Can you talk about the Google certification program/ that is offer for military and the fellowship programs they can opt in to work and get that experience with the partner companies looking to hire active duty, vets or military spouses?
I am student without a degree. I aspire to become a cloud security engineer. Should i start by taking comptia security+ or should i focus on learning microsoft azure and relative certification. I don't know where to start my learning. can you give your view on what i shoul do. Thank you
hey nicole i have been watching your videos since i started pursuing my majors in cybersecurity, almost for than 2 years, I am going to pass out this year, I have no major experience in IT or cybersec, but i have completed undergrad in IT and majors in Cybersec, I am currently preparing for net+ certificate along with sec+, I am eagerly waiting for my first job I wish to get into big companies like meta, i know sounded bit naive but i do have big dreams, can you tell me what tech should i focus on and what skills are necessary and some skills to make me a best candidate to get into big companies or even small companies please guide me thanks
Data centers, NOCs, and so on. More network+ and network engineering domain. On that topic, the Cisco CCST Networking certificate is cheaper and easier than CCNA to get people going.
@@Snk13_ty ok no problem, I was coming from another place when you asked the question. No need to be snappy. I think I know a little about what you can do via RUclips. But in any case , I apologize for meddling. Be well.
@@morisn to first comment: Right, which is why this video is so left field. I was barely able to find anything about the service and what I did find was like ex-cultist testimonials and people wanting to get into tech sales. Despite @Snk13_ty exploding on you, I gotta agree with them. This video seems like an Ad. This course seems like a scam to weed people out of IT; For people interested in IT only for the paycheck. There's no way that this course has any value on a resume
AI currently is same over hyped thing as it was public cloud. It started in 1958/59 and it still on the same level of development from ideas point of view as it was that time, though it is now fueled a lot by increased calculation capacity. AI is using guessing, most as they call deep AI are using neuron mathematical model based on human/animal, and :) ta da it is prone to making mistakes, it never shows 100% confidence and when it does - it is most probably hallucinations. Generative AI is just a twist on compound/counter working neural networks, could be very useful to produce good guesses and found some nice correlations - but all this should be checked - double checked and so on. All of this needs more or less clear information input, even if raw and unstructured. AI currently is capable to recognize some patterns and build patterns - but it very hard to make it thinking - that is where the generative AI - is a first step to try to make something that can somehow emulate process of argument and thinking - still very long way to go...And that means that we will need more specialist in intersection of different areas, including IT Security, AI , Statistics(now it is called data science) and linguistics(as language is the main tool for human to think on and provide the results of intellectual activity). And later :) some one will have to catch up rogue AIs that will be a lot as they are based on same model as our brain :) and will always have same weaknesses and biases.
Nice analysis , open AI wants 7 trillion of investment dollars to build there next mega project, this could be huge in terms of advancing the field of AI

That's fascinating. How can I contact your Asset-coach as my portfolio is dwindling?

Great information! Thanks !😊
Please tighten the script for this topic. Good luck on these great videos
The tumbnail is a bit bs, most layoffs had nothing to do with AI, but with recession.
Really good ideas. I didn't know that they called it "infrastructure".

I don’t believe IT support is really related cybersecurity/GRC. Not enough context on the boot camp either

Don't let BIG dreams become delusional thoughts though. It can happen and wreck your career plans. You've got to have better intuition than that
When you mention "infrastructure," are you referring to the telecommunications sector?
Data centers, NOCs, and so on. More network+ and network engineering domain.

When you say infrastructure are talking about a system admin/engineer?
When you say infrastructure are you talking about cloud?
Is this a paid sponsor?
It's an 8 minute commercial
No, it's not, I can tell from experience. Her advice is no nonsensical and to the point. My advice: listen to her.

Because the pandemic companies over hired. A lot of people will get fired but a lot will get hired again, probably as contractors and less pay.
Software development honestly seems super boring. I prefer infrastructure.
