Good day, please can you share tips you used. I am currently an MSC management student and I would really like to get a professional job. Thank you
@@greenesibooks I adopted my CV to 1-2 page. Showing my work experience from Nigeria, my hard and soft skills. Went over to indeed, Glassdoor, CV-library, charityjobs, LinkedIn etc and started pushing out my CV. Luckily most companies and recruiters started reaching out. The difficult part is to keep applying, never get tired. I hope this helps?

Thanks Dan, I came to UK in February this year, as a student and I must confess, its not really a rollercoaster. I left Nigeria after about 12 years in the banking industry, and your video was one of the reasons for my relocation. Already, I have enrolled for a professional certificate in data analytics and I have strong believe that God will perfect the good work that He has started.
@emmanuel onekutu please which bootcamp did you enrolled with for your data analytics course?

Weldone Daniel so true, was working as a Social Worker back home,i came here as a student, doing care assistant and also a volunteer in one of the County Council here.
There is high probability to get sponsorship job with them once i finish my certification conversion and scrutiny here. Just use every opportunity guys. Yes its stressful, but i know its will pay us for good all.
I agree with you 👍
It can only get better!!!
Keep pushing out your cv guys. While watching this video I got a call from a friend that he is now working with a bank here in UK. We worked at same bank and came to uk last yeat oct. He came as student. I couldn't believe he got a bank job as a student. Though he has few months left to study. Just Keep pushing out our cv guys.
This is a great news 👍
Thank you for sharing
Well, I'll link my comment here to the recent news about changes to student visa/dependant Visa
Just about a year ago I arrived UK, and not really prepared as well, I got a shock of my life and I almost went into depression because I was doing just fine in Nigeria.
I knew I couldn't leave all that only to end up working in a field I don't want for too long.
I sensed the rules could change and I encouraged myself and my wards not to slack.
A couple of us started upskilling immediately, combined with our shift jobs. I worked as a night support worker and I read at work almost every night for a year, once everywhere is calm and all the residents had gone to bed, while I was doing my job watching the camera, I continued with my online courses and bootcamps preparing to became a Data scientist. It was hard to watch movies because I had a lot of assignments, video tutorials and hands-on projects.
It paid off exactly after a year I landed my first job in tech from my first interview. I'll say the goal is bigger than just working in care homes, let's utilise the opportunity of working in the UK to open doors for other countries, if there's a need to move the experience would be valid somewhere else. Also try to learn a skill that could allow you work remotely and be so good at it that you'll become employable remotely from any part of the world. You can even start a side hustle by training others as you're growing to become an expert in your choosen field. This is my 2cent.
You can chat me up on LinkedIn as well for help in moving to tech or the Data field

Congratulations Daniel nice to hear your success story travelling abroad is very very challenging especially at the early stage after your arrival students have the biggest hit if your are paying for your fees. I'm still struggling here to establish feet despite my work experience in Nigeria. Pls I need to dm you to discuss some very personal challenges with you thanks for your time.

Thank u Daniel for ur inspiring video. Congratulations on ur new. How is working as a data analyst like? Is the job very demanding?
Your videos are always insightful,I plan on taking an msc on data science and ai, January intake, however I have started taking courses and learning python, sql and all that, basically being job ready and learning ahead, the plan is to get a Part time data analyst job, while taking my masters, I am aware of the 20 hours restriction, how feasible is it to achieve this. I have gone through indeed and seen some internship roles and part time, would appreciate your feedback in this, thanks
If you can land an internship job while studying, that will be great!!
Mr Ebere, your plan is similar to mine, I plan to study Fintech in Uk, so I started learning sql, powerbi, excel and python, because I want to work as a data analyst while there, I’ll advice you build projects as well.

Hi Daniel please I need your help I have been a care assistant but I want to transition into another career like business or data analyst but not sure of which way to go. Any insight will be helpful. Thanks
Not seeing the subscription button again oooo!
Where do I check for it?
@Daniel Jesuloba, I am a student and I have not gotten one organisation that iffer me a complete 20 hours, so I have been working with more than one employer to complete 20 hours, is this right?
So far you’re within the 20 hrs restriction, you are fine!!
@@DanielJesuloba thank you
May I ask where you had your training about data analysis? Thank you mate
Well done Daniel. This is so informative. I'll be coming to sunderland Uni in September and I'm so much concerned about me getting a sponsorship job before my tier 4 visa expires. My program is a one year course and I want to ask if I will be required to write IELTS during my job application to prove my English proficiency or there's another way to prove my English proficiency as someone who has schooled in the uk
No, a degree certificate obtained in the UK can be used as proof of English proficiency for visa applications.
@@kingjunior7898 oh ok. Thank you
Am currently in the uk thru the visa care route and it’s been quite challenging up till now am yet to get something doing as the care agency that gave me cos does not have job available, but watching your video gave me hope and I know that I will have reasons to testify like this someday. Pls kindly advise me on how to cope as am running out of money and time.
Woww, sorry for this, keep pushing❤
Hi… please how did you get cos to work as a care giver
Please can you share us how to get a portfolio as a new beginner in

i really aspire to be into tech but i am afraid coz i dont have any experience 😢
Please how do I get started as a data analyst with no formal experience.
Omo that care is a big deal ooo it’s not funny Abeg … like I struggle finding motivation to do the care work… I just need to move on to a more professional job. Studying project management and will be done in three months. Most coys need staff with experience and it’s really just depressing 🤦♀️
Hello Daniel congratulations. What courses can I take online towards becoming a data analyst
Hello Daniel, u mentioned working a full time as a care worker, please is it OK to do that with the 20 hours weekly work allowance?
You can only do 40 hours during holidays(Christmas break, etc)
That shift is always tempting 😅
But then, I am trying my best with the online courses, but then I think I need that one on one with you to be able to know how you did what you did.
Honestly, mentally calculating the amount you will get for a shift is usually tempting to say NO!!😀😀
I am always happy to have a chat with you privately
@@DanielJesuloba finally booked a session.
@@DanielJesuloba thank you so much.
Please how do I book a one to one chat with you Daniel ?
How did you maneuver using mac for sql and power bi
Thanks very much Daniel for always keeping us updated. My question is if someone who is on a student visa and is currently doing a 20 hours care job when can that person do intendship in a company that he or she think will sponsor her for tie 2 visa and again can someone do the 20 hrs shift in a week and still do intenship in another company ?
If your masters program come with internship then you can continue your 20hours care job.
But if it’s a paid employment and not associated with your studies, then it’s counted as your 20 hrs
Ok thanks
Daniel... I will need a special session with you on Data Analysis. Can I chat you up or call you? Pls
I will like to have one on one discussion with u I am also in health care sector doing support worker I will like to get more information from you pls kindly tell me how to reach here u many thanks

What do you mean by cope working remotely!
So I can understand your context.
@@DanielJesuloba okay. I was told most company dont employ someone that just transitioned to work remotely because they still need to learn some things so I just want to know how you are able to work remotely.

Pls Daniel, are you allowed to work for a second employer on a skilled worker visa? And if yes, how many hours are you allowed to work for a second employer?
Yes, but restricted to 20 hours on a second job.
@@DanielJesuloba Okay. Thank you.
You can have a second job but it must be inline with your current role. For example, you can't be a nurse and also have a customer service job
@@bolu101 Oh really. Thanks for letting me know. So as a customer service person, can you get a second job as an admin assistant or receptionist for example?
