Doing what you love is never work, it is a passion. Literally millions of people go to a job they hate daily. You are indeed a very fortunate man doing what you love.
Stunning slabs at the end, wow!

Hey Nathan, I’ve never been a cat person, but evidently we’re on a list. I have had two cats at my home for the last 7 or 8 years. We get them fixed, get all their shots, and take care of them. Some chose to come inside, some chose not to. It is amazing that the second an opening comes to the Clark compound: another cat shows up! It’s like the secret hobo network I’ve read about during the Great Depression. These folks will feed you, these folks won’t! We have two rescue dogs and two rescue cats.

Beautiful video, Nathan, just beautiful. I love the drone pictures, those slabs (boy, they're fantastic), and oooh fenceposts. My dad use to let me help him creosote our garden fence when I was little and there's something about that smell, or even the idea of that smell, which always takes me back to childhood. And there's the cat! Queen of all she surveys.

I love sawmilling, when I was 3 my family moved in about 1K yards from a big sawmill, it was the life of the town. My grand pa was shipping clerk at the mill. The first job after high school was at the mill. I worked all over the milling part of the Company, I work in every position except the head rig, they never let me run the carriage. The las job I had at the mill was feeding the debarker , LOL I hung a log up in the barker and shut the mill down for about an hour, it was time to move on, but it has always been in my blood................................JS*

If you can get your hands on a hedge tree (Osage) you're grand children won't have to change those post out! I live in Eastern Ks. and we have tons of hedge trees, that is all that has been used here for years and years. Nothin will touch it! Treated poles are no comparison to the resilience of Osage!!
    Love the vids, Brian

@Tim Travasos I don't believe that it's related but I'm not a expert.lol Osage orange is known by many names. Some are bois-d' arc, bodarc, bodock, bowwood, hedge-apple, postwood, yellowood etc. I believe it is related to the mulberry tree. Historicaly this tree has been used for many things. It is interesting to research!
      Hope this helps.
