You should listen to the Highlander soundtrack! ❤ And yes I do think this is the most universally loved song of the last 50 yrs at least! Of not it should be!
This is by far the best Queen song ever. I loved this song for a long time. I recall doing the whole Wayne's World movie scene with my buddies while playing this song. Good times, good times.
@@DianeJennings advanced choir 5 years.....competed against Kentwood High..... with Spears!!! Wasn't scared .......and little fact Freddie was from the middle east YOU CAN SEE WHY HE LEFT
Your reaction was precious. My favorite Queen song is an older one _Killer Queen._ The song has a clever lyric and great music with accents peppered through it. The solo guitarist, Brian May, had been working on his doctorate in Astrophysics when he joined the band. After Freddy Mercury passed away the band went on hiatus. During that time he decided to finish his doctoral thesis, a difficult analysis of dust in interstellar space, and in 2007, at the age of 60, became Dr. Brian May. This year he was knighted by King Charles, and is now fully titled as Sir Doctor Brian Harold May. _I am not worthy!_ If you haven't already considered Guns n' Roses, then try _Welcome to the Jungle._ I still think a departure from classic rock might be in order for a change. You might enjoy Billy Joel's _Piano Man_ or Harry Chapin's _Taxi._
I put down Fat Bottom Girls because I have been listening to it alot lately. But, I totally forgot Killer Queen. I love that song. And the video is a must.
Happy Wednesday Diane! This was another great song to listen to and react. My first exposure to this song was when I had seen the film "Wayne's World" and saw him and his pals rocking out to this gem! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and reactions to this classic! Have a great rest of your week Diane and be well! 😎👍♥️🎉
Diane's reactions are heart-warming. It's like hanging out in forgotten times, sharing our feelings for some verrry cool music. Suggestion: an obscure but my fave haunting tune, by Police, "The Bed's Too Big Without You"
I'm so glad to see your reaction to this one! I consider Freddie Mercury to be the best singer every - his voice is incredible, his sense of timing, etc. We lost him much too young.
Great video as always Diane! FYI Canadian music icon Gordon Lightfoot passed away yesterday. He was about as quintessentially Canadian as maple syrup and ice hockey. Not sure if it’s a good fit for a reaction video or not, but take a listen to a song or two if you want. His hits include The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Sundown and If you could read my mind.
I was way more interested in your actions than the actual video. You are so fun! My family and I are big fans of yours, because you always make us smile. Great job, please keep making videos.
I loved your reaction to the chimes during the line “sent shivers down my spine”. I have watched dozens of different reactions to Bohemian Rhapsody and no one ever catches the tingling chimes!
When Bohemian Rhapsody came out, I first heard it on a local radio station. I was totally blown away as nothing had ever sounded like that! Then I had to wait to find out what group this was as the station played a few songs in a row then said what they played. Very shortly after that and a visit to a record store, I bought A Night At The Opera.
Thank you for sharing your personal relationship with the song. Your animation of the video added a dimension that made your posting extra enjoyable. Press on, girl. 👍👍👍
Ms Jennings, watching you sing along to Queens Bohemian Rhapsody is a total trip!!! Your hand gestures are magnificent.... Your facial expressions a joy to behold... cute.... funny.... laughable... Loved it!!! Keep up the great performances!
Always a good choice Diane. It looks like you were really getting into the conducting however, I had no idea what you were trying to say. I’m just glad you got a chance to say it.
I love how you conduct during this song! Then you sway your head and just get lost in the music, just awesome! Queen is such a great band to get lost in their music!
My favorite Queen song is "The Show Must Go On". Not only my favorite of theirs, my favorite song ever since I was 12. It will never be dethroned. Freddie Mercury is the best of all time!
Even though you’ve heard Queen before, this was a great choice Awesome music, great lyrics, plus Freddie Mercury’s voice Your lip-syncing and conducting, really had me amused And the OG’s will remember: No synthesizers were used!
This is a great song, and I hope listening to it brought back lots of fun choir memories. Queen has so many great songs. Dr. Brian May is an awesome guitarist. Thanks for making our day better
Great choice Diane. I saw a Freddy M. interview where he said he was influenced by all the great singers of the 1960's and that he wanted to put on a show when they performed. They definitely entertained and had great "diction" for not being from Ireland. Very impressive "conducting", by the way!
Loving this series, Diane! Gotta keep it up! So, if you're doing 70's music that you've never heard before, then you need to check out Three Dog Night "Road to Shamballah". My favorite song EVAR.
I remember the song Road to Shamballah from when it was featured in an episode of Criminal Minds. I never knew it was from Three Dog Night. Do you know the meaning of the band's name, Three Dog Night? It's of Aboriginal/ Native Alaskan origins. If it was really cold at night you'd have your dogs sleeping with you for warmth...the more dogs you had for warmth, the colder the night was, so a three dog night was pretty chilly. Just some trivia I thought I'd share with you. 😊😊👋 Greetings from eastern North Carolina!
I really loved watching your enjoyment of this song! There is no one like Freddie Mercury & Queen for showmanship - they are incredible. One of my favorite Queen songs is Who Wants to Live Forever written by Brian May for the film Highlander (1986) and also used in the Highlander TV series (1992 - 1998).
Great band Diane! This song may be the best known song from pre 2000. This one and Don't Stop Believin' by Journey even 2 year olds in Indochina have heard them too much lol. Somebody to Love is my favorite song my Queen. Happy Wednesday!
Great reaction Diane! Incredibly difficult to pick a favorite Queen song! So my five front-runners are: Death On Two Legs Flick of the Wrist The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke March of the Black Queen Now I'm Here
Lovely video Diane! An amazing song! Great movie too! So many great classics by Queen. Love these music video reactions! Maybe some more 80's Hair Bands, like: Poison, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Judas Priest, and lots of others!
Melancholy Blues is a great track. Not many people would know that one. Very different style for a rock band. Shows how many different music genres Queen mastered.
Somebody to love is my favorite of their songs. The live aid concert is a great recommendation. Freddie is one of a kind, and he was 100% on during that concert. Not only is his voice one of the best ever, but he was the personification of "Rock Star."
Iconic song, of course and perfectly executed by every band member. My favorite Queen song/Performance is White Queen live at Odeon, Hammersmith 12/24/1975. It is an amazing performance, it gives me chills every time I hear it and I have heard it a lot. Thank you for your reaction.
Pretty awesome video. Its been while, how have you and Chewie the Wookiee dog warrior Road Rover been? I have been busy hard at work on my AS Degree in Digital Media Technology. It must have been quite fun editing this video. What part of this video was your favorite to shoot?
When you started enunciating the words, I about fell off my chair. You are hilarious!!! I loved this reaction. I remember singing in the school choir. It was the same for me. I think you might like Rush. Enjoy the rest of your week. I hope Chewie is ok.
Thanks, D! Headphones are SO needed... (Freddie did all the harmonies on the intro himself.. but the rest of the band came in later.. the diction WAS perfect, right?)... Appreciate your reaction! (this is just what he looked like when I saw Queen in concert 1978-ish)
Thank you so much for taking me back to when the album was released ahead of the single. Rain and the sounds of rocks rolling in a river in flood. And Bohemian Rhapsody being immediately followed by Good Save the Queen (no lyrics).
You need 2 or you might want to check out the live. A concert from 1985 in which Queen did a 21 minutes set that is considered one of the greatest lives sets of all time. It's amazing Freddy Mercury's crowd control is stunning you have to watch.
I love that you were in choir! I was in choir in the 60s and 70s and they were like yours. Robes and diction. One high school had a swing choir that was more like Glee but we moved and I didn't have a chance to try out. Since you are a choir geek, I think you will love Pentatonix's a cappella version of this song! Brian May of Queen loved it.
Favorite songs by queen. You’re my best friend, and can’t stop me now. Suggestion: three dog night. ‘Never been to Spain’ keep up the good work Diane really enjoying these....😘🎉
Not all American school choirs are "Glee" style. Even my tiny school (waaay back in the 80s) had both a pop style "swing choir" and the more formal style you described where diction was very important and a dropped consonant was indeed frowned upon 🙂
Just wondering if you could react to a Gordon Lightfoot song. He past on May first. You might dig “the wreck of the Edmond fizgerald”. It’s a bit of a sea shanty. “If you could read my mind” is also a great song.
Back in the '70s in the San Francisco Bay area we will rock you and We Are the Champions always played back to back on the radio. They will always be one song to me. My favorite.

"The Show Must Go On" is the tour de force for Freddie Mercury. One of the last songs recorded before he died and the voice was absolutely amazing.
This song is a road trip MUST! Queen is one of those bands where every time I revisit them, I like them more & discover more songs to enjoy

You are not alone in missing Freddie
“We Are the Champions” is my favorite Queen song. At the end of every sports season, one team and their fanbase gets to sing it.
I like that one too!
I can never get through this song without acting like the boys in Wayne's World when it gets to the rocking out bridge. 😂🤘
