Pioneer is marking 20 years in the DJ industry with the launch of a modern classic: the PLX-1000 professional turntable. The PLX-1000 is precision engineered for the booth, drawing on 50 years' experience of making high-end turntables. The result is a familiar layout with some next generation improvements, including a high-torque direct drive system, multi-pitch control, club-grade build and sound quality, and detachable power and audio cables.

It's coming...PLX-1000 Nexus that syncs vinyl :O
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH MADE MY DAY (y)
hahaha
LOL
Pioneer and a vinyl turntable, now that is something I never expected.
I really like Dj Qbert. He's the O.G. I saw him live one time in Houston, Texas and he let me come up on stage and scratch while he drummed a beat. I'll never forget that. It was awesome!!!!
I am getting some of these for sure!!! I can't wait to be using these amazing turntables!!!
No faking the funk on these. Just my opinion but putting vinyl decks in the clubs will separate the men from the boys.
its hard to get a lot of new tunes on vinyl. the only genre that really still regularly uses vinyl is dnb. using traktor or serato doesnt make it much different to cdjs anyway
Hugh Broadbent u wot? ever heard of house and techno lol? sooo much new and exclusive music is still on vinyl.
Hugh Broadbent, dont forget timecodes! :)
Hugh Broadbent you surely must be high
Hugh Broadbent
What? (Deep) House and Techno still gets A LOT of vinyl releases, even a lot of vinyl only released. Often some top notch quality stuff that's really only accessible to vinyl DJs.
Check out DJ Qbert and DJ Shortkut having a go on the new PLX-1000 professional turntable. #PLX #pioneerdj20
Nice

Obrigado!!
Make Str8 Arm and I'll buy.
When will these turntables be released?
Classic design, good tempo range...definitely going to look at this deck when it's time to buy a new turntable
In the club scenes at the end of the video the DJ is not using the turntable, he's using the CDJs... 2:43 tone arm is up & 2:51 needle is running in at the end of the record and DJ is pressing CDJs queue button hahaha... but still, definitely hyped about these.
Mos def can't wait to get my hands on the new revamped TURNTABLES!!! :-) PIONEER EQUIPMENT IS THE BOMB
LONG LIVE THE KING, TECHNICS 1200!!
Tight! Getting me some these once they out for sure.
I still own my first pair of 1200's I bought back in 1984, dont think they will ever break lol Im gonna break before they do.
sell them to me
Damn im glad i chose to build my pioneer system this year. now i can add this beautiful pioneer turn table to it in the future!
I'm ready. Can't wait to pick up a pair. More gear to play with!
Been waiting patiently. Glad to see Pioneer drop this!
Looks fine! can't wait to get them in the London studio.
My response is "My Technics aren't broken!" I bought my Technics 1200 M3D's in 2002, It's now 2014... They still work, I haven't had one issue with them in 12 years.
if you take a closer look at 0:31 it looks like the platter is wobbling a little bit to much.
I like the fact that turntables are coming out again. Looks like a great clone. But I would never change even my old technics for the new pioneer ones ;)
Let's hope it will bring back the turntables and real DJs on festival stages.
It's over. New vinyl isn't produced anymore.
@@admiralman1472 you must be asleep, lmao, vinyl is back in a way it hasn't been for years....
@@analogaudiorules1724 I said new vinyl. Yes, I see a lot of retro albums being reissued (and even that is just a phase,) but the new stuff? It's over. DVS is a necessity.
Finally released! Cant wait to try it...
More than everything i feel very good about vinyl future....!
Back to the old school, very good!!!
Finally a new and modern DJ Turntable. I've been very weary of buying an old technics.
Good move Pioneer. SL-1200/10s are always first choice, but as decent ones are getting as rare as rocking horse shit, these are gonna be there to pick up the demand for a solid, club standard turntable
La Perfection à l'état pure!!!! Mon must!!!
I've been using Vestax as long as can remember .. and they are still going strong ..
I'll have my pair tomorrow along with the S9 mixer. Got to try out a pair and they're a great turntable. All of the Technics fanboys out here need to stop hating. I've used Technics and they are undeniably great but the Pioneer is nearly on par. When the technology evolves so does the DJ game so don't hate on new tech, embrace it and build upon your current skills.
Definitely buying a set!
You a fool cuz!
You're*
Vinyl will never die its still coming out n with all the dvs software on the market this product will fullfill the needs of real scratch djs personaly vinyl always had better mixing punch than cds n controllers anyway turntables are old skool still not trade in my technics for a pair of these tho as id never swap now been to long a good relationship.
Thanks very very much for quick reply and help really appreciate it
Honestly. Q is in a league of his own. Total boss!
That's Old School Man!! You're Awesome!
Verry cool scratches from these 2 DJ's!!!
it just seems funny to me how things come in and go out again i can remember when vinyl started getting harder & harder to find then pioneer started with the cdj's 100 till the latest out now .all the vinyl dj's starting selling their technics turntables for cd players now they all wanna go back to turntables.glad i stuck with my technics & sold my cdj's I LOVE VINYL only change i made was to Serato scratch live never looked back.
That is not vinyl, that is timecoded audio, which is the same as CDJ and a controller, so it don't matter what you use if you are using an audio program system, all these people claiming to use vinyl, but DVS is DVS!!
At 2:32 when they talk about "drawing on 50 years experience of making high-end turntables", they must be referring to Technics-Panasonic's experience because this is based on the Technics -1200.
Another Hanpin Super OEM.
I love this fast scratchin soooo much..
adrey west especially when I itch!
Love the video clip from the Terrace room of Circo Loco at DC10 at the end of the video
Comment's offing, this turntable is amazing! The pionner as always impressing.
"I like that it's a smooth transition from the classic turntable to this one". No offense to DJ Shortkut, but I don't see anything that is "transitional" about this turntable. Selectable pitch range, high-torque, rubber-reinforced, replaceable cables, with a Technics-like aluminum body....seems like a classic turntable to me. No features on it that haven't been done before by Numark, Stanton, or Vestax within the past 20 years.
We'll,he had to speak about something you know, that's why he was paid for...
John Moore something that makes more sense perhaps?
But there is nothing important or different that can be told about this turntable....just another marketing product...
I heard that Pri!
The only real "transition" DJs may have to overcome, is getting used to a Pioneer logo instead of Technics.
Has anyone else noticed the flex/moment of the platter when pressure is applied in the scratch?
I love my 1200's mk2's, still in mint condition and work as they did out the box when I bought them new back in 1991. No matter how many knock offs come out. Nothing can replace the sexy look of a fresh tech 1200. The PLX-1000 is just another Chinese HANPIN mass produce turntable. LOL wonder how much Pioneer paid Q-Bert to advertise these. LOL you watch Q-Bert on battles and his videos in his home studio. You see plenty of 1200's just lounging around. Oh lets not forget his Solid Gold Technics 1200 he won back in the day in the DMC battles.
Pioneer will take the whole market in the end!
They have 5/6 cd players/midi players/mixers and now this.
If this is any good it will sell shed loads and they will only get stronger and bigger in the dj market.
What a classic, mine still works till now
About time! Thanks
NUNCA VAI CONSEGUIR SUPERAR AS SL MK 2 AS MAIS VENDIDAS DO MUNDO ... PIONEER É UMA VITROLINHA PERTO DAS MKS.... MK 2 TECHNICS THE KING TURNTABLES THIS IS THE BEST OF PIONEER FOREVER BEST !
I'm actually excited... I love the wide range on the pitch shift.. I want to buy 1 and use it back to back with my Technics M5G in the club for a couple of weekends.. that will be my deciding factor.. I might be missing the huge point but when will these be released, if they're not already??..
Technics SL1210 with a new name. only advantage is there are RCA outputs instead of a lead (that broke every other week). prices start at £499+vat UK according to the flyer i had this morning from my distributor.
funny thing they didnt have nothing special to say about the turntable..^^ its like shortkut was actually trying to say: you can buy a vestax pdx 3000 mk2, it does more and costs less :D
Fa sho Beats&Wheels i'm down wid dat homie!!!
This is awesome... pioneer for the djs...
Damn, just got a Str8150 yesterday. I'm cool with it though. Next turntable I get will be the DJTech one with Midi/hid enabled platter. Fretless fader action!
Really looking forward to this - i've always been tentative on a pair of 1200's purely due to the lack of pitch ranges. Whichever model (can't remember off the top of my head) which includes both -/+8 and 16 is far too expensive and difficult to get hold of. This will be the new standard of turntable, a reissued and improved Technics 1200.
The 12x0 with the advanced pitch is the M5G.
I'm not so sure about this becoming the new standard, I see no reason for any club or DJ who already owns a pair of Technics to replace them with this turntable. Personally, I tend to like the Technics still a little better. Just gotta love a piece of hardware that has been used for 15 years and still runs like you just unboxed it.
hurricane As the Technics get old and the clubs finally need to replace them, they may come to Pioneer, thus creating a new industry standard. That is, of couse, if big DJs end up like this new turntable or not.
I really hope that Vinyl comes back stronger, it would bring back oldskool, funky beats and Hardcore, #BringBackVinyl 😎
1200's for life
Definitely in my list!
Filling a hole in the market to replace the ageing technics. Cannot blame them really people still love them. I think they just extended Vinyl Djing by 20 more years.
PLX 1000 Savage just Excellent Deck fresh and new solid Deck well up their with Technics 1210s
those are a must have will grab a set
Technics turntables is re-born?
Hey guys,
if you ask me, the PLX-1000 seems to be an average turntable with like no new features, but an unfounded high price. Why do you want so much money for an OEM based product, is it just for the usual Pioneer design and feeling? If you browse through the internet, you'll find pretty less turntables with almost the same characteristics but a whole bunch of additional features or at least a lower price with the same features the Technics turntable had. If you ask me, the better deal is to go with the Reloop RP-7000 and save a lot of money instead of spending it for the brand name on your turntable. If you like to have more features like MIDI support and cue points on your turntable, you should go with the Reloop RP-8000, which is a very unique product in the market. Both products also offer a very strong motor with a high but adjustable torque, a vibration-resistant base, shock proof feed and a robust metal housing. I am really looking forward to see a face to face competition between the PLX-1000 and the already established Reloop turntables.
If i have to choose between this or a second hand tired 1200 for the same price than the choice is quite simple.
PRETTY AMAZING !!!!
I guess if you can't get your hands on a pair of 1200's this would be the next best thing.
idk im thinking reloop or stanton
Why is there no USB input or a browsing screen? This feature is a huge plus to add on. You wouldn't have to worry about lugging around a laptop or many vinyls. If only it had this feature designed with time coded vinyl like Serato but without a external sound card and a laptop. I hope it would be possible to design. If it could i would drop CDJ's forever. :)
David Masters
I'm not a technician but you can get my point. I'm sure there is a way to make it work with USB.
get some denons
David Masters Pioneer mixers have timecode algorhythm in them. The turntable could have a browser to choose songs from a flashdrive like the CDJ.
Looks lovely but struggling to see the market for this when the second hand market for technics are still so strong and the stanton/reloop version of this very table is a lot cheaper...
The new classic durable turntable for real DJ. If You are looking for digimigi space turntable Reloop RP8000. If You are looking for high quality classic turntable, this gear. Not everything about digital and bunch of functions. I think is a perfect product range start from Pioneer. looks total rigid trustable turntable. And in a full night filled club this the most important. Make a music, not count the features!
And another good words: this will drop down the overhyped Technics prices :) at least 20% good job Pioneer! THX a lot :)))
All the more reason now for Technics to come back so we can see which is better
It's believed that Pioneer purchased the patent on Technics. If it's true then these turntables will basically be updated Technics.
Matthew Salvitti Why purchase the patent when you could just make it? Audio Technica didn't buy the patents when they made the
AT-LP 120
***** the patent on the SL-1200 EXPIRED about 3 years ago, THAT"S the reason you see Super OEM version's of the 1200 around, including AT's LP-120.. Google you fools
***** I wasn't saying that the AT-LP 120 was superior on equal to the technics in any way, I was just giving an example of a turntable with a very similar layout as the 1200
***** "clones" were mimiking the 1200 on the edge of the legal allowance. Said clones weren't absolutely clones, but just weak imitations. Now that (all?) patents expired you actually can think to build a clone.
When can i get one?!?! I have three Technics SL1200MK5
LAS MEJORES DEL MUNDO...LAS TECHNICS 1200 MK ...LO MEJOR EN TORNAMESAS INSUPERABLES
2 legends right there ...I have the 1000s - terrific... PS - what is the beat used in shortkuts part?
Dyed killing it !!
Pioneer and panasonic (technics) have merged, and this is a technic with the pioneer name. I'll take 2 plz!
name brand crazy much?
@@SLIC3R2 What does that even mean?
Good Job you profesional
i love this life
That pic with bart givin lisa head, ahaha
Good 2 have my 1210s...I'm even more glad 2 have them, now.^^
Oh...and I like Qbert & Shortkut, but I can hardly believe them, here...
;)
*****
Yeah, and you still get spare-parts for them...have taken back 4 dead technics into life this year, they're always worth it ! Legendary...^^
*****
Cool stuff. but no need for me...I've got symmetric direct-outs on my mixer !^^
Only have removed the ground-cables...
You don't have probs with interferences when only 1 cable connected ?
Old School !!!!! :´)
Track at 2:31 hot since 82 - shadows (feat. alex mills)
I like.
People are saying that the PLX-1000 is just another Super OEM turntable made by Hanpin like the Reloop and Stanton decks. Is this true?
It's true, but IMHO, the Reloops are better.
Pioneer, y u no hev str8 arm?
I'm staggared. It looks like Pioneer bought licens rights on Technics SL-1210. Legend is back under new brand.
For me the Important thing that Techs. still alive is Simple but strong and it's can past 10 years or more using. (Your Technics maybe 2,3,4 hands but it's still in good condition right? Me too. ^^ )
Time is the result of material and factory made. Waiting to see it.
Looks good however the reloop deck is a good option with midi cue buttons etc... not hating just sayin
For more views u should put ISP testing for title. Cool review I love pioneer mixers! My 1200s r still great tho!
I'd never touch my records like that, but i respect any vinyl fan. If i get this table, it'll be for highend playback, great video, i suppose those records featured in the video are better able to cope with the oils on your hands. What records were those?
When will it be released? They said end of August but got no further information about it..
First question; is there a BPM sync button? Most of my major commercial events allow me to use prerecorded mixes as long as I make it look entertaining. So live mixing is probably out of the question with this CD player.
Second; is there a scratch button they're using in the video? It looks really cool when they make those sounds, but most of my prerecorded scratch triggers aren't as complex as the ones these guys are using.
Correction: I probably sounded crazy lmao. I just realized this is a turntable for big vinol discs. If this thing has a CD or mp3 slot, it would be amazing! I'm more into real music like EDM. Not really into mixing older music that can only be found on vinol.
gestimada you sir, are a king
Vinol? Edm...that's good night!! Jesus fuck
robert cecil correction: vinyl
HAHAHA!!! (I hope)
the only thing i dont like about it is the on/off dial has some new anti bumping protection around it so you cant switch off as easily as the 1200
I would personally welcome and some quality CD Player from Pioneer which had a plate as a turntable. (similar to something like from sldz technics or cdx, hdx from numark)
My bad just needed to vent but damn these table are sweet and I also am hearing that the Stanton str8-150 or str-150 have serious issues after about 6 month to a year faulty cheap spindles I guess they start making hella noise and eventually will take a crap on ya yeaaaa way to go Stanton!!!!!! Cutting corners,,,of course I can't say much about these they haven't been out a year yet I just hope they get cheaper and let's face it there pretty much techs
i really hope for pioneer's sake that this turntables are as good as the 1200s. otherwise any revisions or further releases of turntables from them will flop.unless of course they actually are working with Panasonic.
straight tonearm version with separated 50% ultrapitch / 10% fine pitch (like vestax) would be nice for scratchheads :)
wish they did straight tone arms for the scratch dj
where's the sync button?
I want those but I gotta learn how to scratch and not sound like shit, I also kinda want it to have a midi mode to serato & traktor too so not only is it analog but also digital, just like so you can start on either end and end up using both ways to mix
Hot Since eighty twooooooooooo
Pioneer have really missed the boat here. It will be interesting to see if people take notice or simply not give a shit and stick with the Reloop/Stanton/Numark decks for less dosh. I'm swaying towards the RP-7000's for a mixture of the classic 1210 layout with the bells and whistles commonly found on turntables now.
2:50 the DJ is playing with cdj and the turntable needle is in the end of the 12" !! damn !! its so confuse for a turntable advertisement :P
