No one is realizing that there isnt one person alive that has ever played Jesus Christ this long, and getting this close to Jesus, and what Jonathan has had to go through emotionally he must feel so isolated and alone not being able to get anyone to understand what he is going through!! The way he portrays the love of Jesus is so beautiful-that’s what changed my Christian walk & I started seeing Jesus as the messiah that truly loves us, whereas in my past, I was deceived into believing that Jesus was someone that was always scolding, frustrated, angry & disappointed with me. I never felt truly loved by Jesus.. until I watched the chosen & see Jesus now for the way he truly is. Holy, righteous yes.. but not angry.. Jonathan Roumie is very grounded in his faith and spiritually sound, I can understand why the interviews with him encompass emotion and real life questions of everyone’s spirituality. We have a priest who stays with us a few months out of the year, as he likes to get away from the hustle and bustle of the City and come close to the stillness of the waters and small town. He has told me time and time again that Roumie plays the part VERY WELL and the entire production of “The Chosen” is accurate. So accurate that Jenkins manages to capture the very subtle things written in the gospel that are not usually picked up on the first read but only when you go back, re read and examine. I’m so glad, THE CHOSEN has received good reviews in the public eye. The world needs this now. Peace to everyone.

The way he portrays the love of Jesus is so beautiful-that’s what changed my Christian walk & I started seeing Jesus as the messiah that truly loves us, whereas in my past, I was deceived into believing that Jesus was someone that was always scolding, frustrated, angry & disappointed with me. I never felt truly loved by Jesus.. until I watched the chosen & see Jesus now for the way he truly is. Holy, righteous yes.. but not angry.. Full of a fierce, passionate love for us that he was willing to go thru such a brutal death & even when we flake out on him & make mistakes often, as we do, he is still there loving us..always willing to give us another chance to get it right..❤

Jonathan Roumie is very grounded in his faith and spiritually sound, I can understand why the interviews with him encompass emotion and real life questions of everyone’s spirituality. We have a priest who stays with us a few months out of the year, as he likes to get away from the hustle and bustle of the City and come close to the stillness of the waters and small town. He has told me time and time again that Roumie plays the part VERY WELL and the entire production of “The Chosen” is accurate. So accurate that Jenkins manages to capture the very subtle things written in the gospel that are not usually picked up on the first read but only when you go back, re read and examine. I’m so glad, THE CHOSEN has received good reviews in the public eye. The world needs this now. Peace to everyone.
