50:07 You can muster troops in Moria because you are using an event card. From the rule book p26 Recruiting restrictions section - You cannot muster troops in a stronghold besieged by the enemy unless you are recruiting with an event card. Cheers!

Amazing!! You should really try the solo variant. Star wars rebellion solo is one of the best gaming series ever on youtube, and i doubt anyone else could try this challenge (and actually there are no video on it)

You're welcome! If you really want to make the next playthrough truly epic, you could always play Hunt for the Ring first, and lead into War of the Ring since they share similar mechanics.

Yupp, you are actually able recruit into a stronghold under siege with Event Cards (just not with a Muster die). Likewise, you can recruit with an event card even if the nation isn't "At War" yet. I assume this is primarily to help the Free Peoples player with "surprise" reinforcements, but also applies to the Shadow player in this case
Have you tried war of the ring the card game? Supposedly it is a homage to the board game however since I haven’t played the board game I can’t say how well it compares. The card game though is fun on its own and a solo and co-op against the AI is coming sometime in the fall(right now the game is only competitive).
I've tried it and thought it was great. Very cool mix of original mechanics and some of the same feel of the big daddy original game. We will be covering it for sure when the expansion is out - Mike
Did those minis come prepainted like that in the collector's edition? They're gorgeous, nothing wrong with the unpainted plastic ones but this is just on a different level. Wonder if they will ever reprint collectors edition with such nicely painted minis, maybe a third edition, one can hope. Looking forward to this series :)

Middle Earth Quest is a 1 vs many adventure game, where one player controls Sauron, and the rest control heroes running around having battles (in a cool card-based system) and completing quests. MEQ is much closer to something like Runebound, while war of the ring is a big war game - Mike
so how are you supposed to plan your strategy for the game when you have to roll dice to see what actions you are even allowed to take for the turn couldn't plan my next turn in advance then for me I would not like
Part of the challenge! And remember as the Free Peoples you have access to 3 rings that allow you to change a die to anything except the Will of the West die. As the Shadow Player you get 7-10 dice so in theory you should have more balanced rolls. Sometimes that just doesn't happen, and is part of the challenge!
So in a game like this, you plan your strategies based on what the dice rolls give you. You have to make the most of what you get each turn. You can still try to realize a specific strategy you have in mind, but you can only move that strategy forward when the dice go your way.
@@Xipslarng that would be like play chess but at start of your turn roll a dice with pieces on it and then can only move those for the turn. For me that would not be good that does not me it a bad mechanic just that I would not like it

I just use a shure microphone that goes over my head and record on my computer. Then I sync it up to the audio from the video camera!

There are a couple fan made solo modes but I haven't tried them yet!
