I have a pair of 14 year old Crossfire Boots and I just looked at them after watching this video, and Wow. Those SG-12 look very protective and I really like that side-way movement.

@@fencelinerider wow. Hmm. I'm new to ADV riding and will take trips around SoCal and Baja and trying to figure out what boots for my soon to have Tiger 900 Rally Pro. Protection for sure...but comfort too... looking at these hardcore boots, the Enduros also.... and maybe the Alpine Tech 7s and the Sidi Atojos also....
I have the sg10 which is the same boot except for the adjustable shin piece . It has the regular motocross sole . All you have to do to turn it into a enduro or dual sport type sole is get rid of the slick metal toe piece and cut a cross pattern in the toe area of the sole . Its gives you all the grip you need in the mud and river crossings while the back section still allows you to slide you foot back and forth to shift .
just purchased the fastback enduro there amazing boots even considering getting a pair of these as well for more completion boots been very impressive so fas from my fastback can't fault them so far
Great videos/reviews, helpful website - your efforts are very much appreciated. I was able to find that the Gaerne SG-12 has a memory foam liner, but couldn't confirm any other boots that advertise this feature. Are they they only brand/only model that uses that? Thanks!

Gaerne sells the enduro sole separately on their website. Just ordered a pair to upgrade my old SG12s

No. The SG-10 has some, and the Sidi Crossfire also.

No, actually. The Gaerne sole design is a nice blend of movability and grip.
