I do. I didn't expect to see more of the Brotherhood. After the storyline with Danse seemed to be going nowhere and devolved into randomly generated fetch and kill quests, I gave up hoping for more. And then you come out of the hospital and...jesus.
I didnt see the airship as I was leaving, I was like "Is there a voice or something?", tried to fast travel to diamond city, it said I couldn't, and after a solid minute I finally saw the ship and was like "Oh, thats why."
For my first play through it was midnight pitch black in a 32 inch old tv, I remember that I stepped out and the ship did not appear until at least 5-10 seconds after exiting the roof entrance door, I was amazed to say the least.
Whether it's moral or not to join the Brotherhood, you have to admit that it's the most awesome faction in the game. Not even the Institute has power armor, or airships.
Also, the Institute creates psychotic skinjobs with command words planted in them. The Railroad helps spread them around. And the Minutemen can't do anything on their own, hence another settlement always needing our help. If you go with anyone but the Brotherhood - you have no heart or mind.
Insitute has : Synthetic Gorillas , Computers , Pumpkins , Cloths , Nice Food , Decontamination Showers , Reactors , Power , Synth Armour , Consoles , Underground Mini City , Preserved Cigarets , preserved food , Tables , Chairs , Comics , Fans , Air Ducts , Microphones , Desks , Machines , Plants / Vegetables , Showers , Sinks , Toilet Paper , Synths , Grass , Trees , Sliding Doors , Vendors and more ! C’mon , they have way more clean / more stuff than Brotherhood . Just because they have Power Armours and weapons and stuff , doesn’t make them the best Faction .
Ivan Exell , Brotherhood of Steel has: Military trained soldiers, superior firepower on land and in the air, a giant steel airship, vertibirds with mounted mini-guns, tons of weapons regular and energy, strategic outposts across the commonwealth, NUKES, a giant robot that shoots lazers and throws nukes, awesome armor and insane amounts of power armor compared to the second “power armored faction” Atom Cats. Can’t forget to mention their attitude, reputation and history in the commonwealth. Late reply I know but I don’t like when people undermine the BoS.
I was walking out of the door, I didn't hear the prydwen, then I see lights blaring everywhere and a voice talking then a light shines on me and I slowly turn around and see a big ass ship up there like :o

Fallout 4 can really throw the atmosphere into you, and get you immersed in the reality that technology like this is nearly impossible to come by. even more harder to get it to fly. Just experienced this scene for the first time today. I always wanted to play fallout 4, I played fallout 3 on my Xbox 360 but due to life circumstances I never owned an Xbox One or any other console after my 360. Fast-forward 8 years and I was lucky enough to buy my Series X with my own money and the first game I installed was fallout 4. I cried a little when I started playing the game and when it came to this scene and the music started playing i turned the volume all the way up and shed a tear.. thinking I'm finally enjoying this awesome game! Thank you Bethesda and Todd Howard!
yooo me too. I'm an Elder Scrolls guy, but decided to try out fallout due to the lockdown. I played 3 and New Vegas and was blown away by those two. I'm playing 4 this exact mission and just came to rewatch this scene lol. So epic
The best moment in Fallout 4. i also encountered this during the night. epic af. What got me was that nothing was in the air until these bad boys arrived with a freakin mothership. easy to say, i enlisted right away. BoS trough and trough.
The entrance is the sort of thing you would see in warhammer 40k, hmm Brotherhood of steel with tech up to the level of that time, would be awesome, correct me if i am wrong, but they seem to be a Mix Between the adeptus mechanicus and the adeptus astartes
The man who grabs The sun you sure less fanaticism? They still want to wipe out Synths, Super Mutants, and Feral Ghouls, as well as anyone who furthers the creation or continuation of the three (heretics)
So epic this scene here is. I can't believe the brotherhood thought it was a good idea to build this massive ship. It is just a big target that you can't miss (minutemen artillery for example). It's just too easy to take down
No its the opposite...hydrogen burns easier..look at what happens at Hindenburg. go up in flames in seconds..thats why modern blimps used helium instead of hydrogen..
Fallout 4 was the first Fallout I played myself. But I watched my brother play Fallout 3 all the time when I was little. I was vaguely familiar with most of the lore, but *especially* familiar with The Brotherhood of Steel. Saw sequences like The Brotherhood using Liberty Prime to level The Enclave. A lot of the factions and baddies I dealt with were new territory for me back in my first playthrough of this in 2015. But after I stepped out that door? With the title music blaring in the background, the sounds of the armada, the airship's looming presence, and that announcement... *"We are The Brotherhood of Steel."* Bro, I was just like "Oh shit. I know these badasses."
I am a Skyrim fan; however, this part is amazing. I was half expecting he'd say "The Dark Brotherhood of Steel" 😂 The Commonwealth belongs to the Nords!
If I watch this on repeat a few more times, and have a couple more beers, I might just buy that Brotherhood of Steel T Shirt that I always wanted, but didn't want to pay 20 dollars for.
This scene here is the proof that we don't need those cinematics moments with fancy camera angles and forced walking to have an amazing introduction to something important. Leaving the building after not finding the son and seeing this huge ship flying is one of the best moments of the game, so cool!
I literally did not see this thing fly past me in my first playthrough, I only saw it after one of it’s vertibirds fly over me. Safe to say, I was impressed.
I was thinking. Until this moment, the people of the Commonwealth most likely have never seen any aircraft airborne. Sure they know such things once existed, but this is likely the first time they actually saw one. Hell a giant metal airship dropping choppers would be shocking to US.
I might be the only one who missed the airship accidentally during my playthrough while I was letting everything sink in after killing Kellog, I, without waiting, just quick travelled to Diamond city for the next quest
The BoS (along with all the other factions) may suck ass in this game, but that is one HELL of an entrance! A round of applause for that shit! I’ll give it to the Brotherhood, they were never ones for subtlety…But this is definitely one of their best entrances to date. One of the best moments involving them to date, really. the exact moment you make your choice about who you re going to help for the main quest
I have met hardly anyone who chose a different faction for their first playthrough.
I always choose the minutemen myself over the brotherhood of steel.
@@thecourier7964 I think a lot of people fall into the Minutemen for the basebuilding. Taking the castle is almost as much of an "oh wow" moment.
@@roguishpaladin no I side with them because they have the most noble goal plain and simple. The brother hood is my second option tho
Probably I'm the only one who choose railroad in my first playthrough
When I beat Kellogg, I didn't know this was going to happen when I left, and I was absolutely stunned. Easily one of the best setpieces in the game.
