I ordered the halo75 v2 with the black design and lemon switches (though some of the keycaps look rather ugly imo), while it might not be the P/L i think it's worth it just for qmk/via and not some kinda shady looking software like many other boards tend to use. Also it was still cheaper than keychrons, which i normally use for macs. It's a shame that you can't easily open the case but to be honest as long as the stock sound is good enough and i can swap the switches easily i can deal with it. I don't really enjoy the "building" Part of keyboards and more the switches and keycaps aspect. But one key aspect of the decision for the halo75 was the way the RGB is on the bottom of the case, i ordered some cheap pudding keycaps to play around with because i think that could be cool for a while and then i probably look around for some nice dye sub caps.
Would look good with Osume Matcha... trying to decide if I need this... well I definitely don't need it but kind of want it to compare against the others.
I got this in white with Lemon but they were a little light. Put Baby Ks in it and kept the original caps on it... I love it, haven't really used anything else the past few weeks. The RGB on the white is BRIGHT and the sound is just great. I was truly impressed how much I like the caps as I normally use GMK on everything but these just feel great! The profile felt good on the GEM80 as well but like you that blue just looks too good with Striker 2 to not use GMK on it.
i have halo96 v1, i satisfied using this keyboard, the things that i dont like is , why they dont give shine through keycaps as a stock , but they sell it separately
I would say if if you don't need software then its really just preference, although for value it would be either nd75 or rainy75, if you do need software like via or qmk, then rainy or this halo
@@miistrali’d agree with this, after putting my order in for the nuphy, i saw the nd75 and realized how much better of a value it is compared to the nuphy, but im excited for the nuphy nonetheless as it has acoustics that i prefer over the nd75
Good review as always. It´s a shame that it´s not really made with the enthusiast in mind since it´s so hard or even impossible to open. The translucent bottom case is nice, but it would have been fun to open it up and play around with different builds.
Agree, not sure why they did this after making the GEM80 so easy to mod... seems like a step backwards when others at a similar price are even using screwless designs now.
Cause you personal taste is not the market, the market is everyone. You could start a kickstarter for your own brand if you think that would be something you could do? Or nah?

I just picked up the 96v2 version of this. I hope it works out!
Great video! I love the mousepad, do you remember where you bought it?
Yeahh, will wait for Halo65 v2
Just got mine with the Red silent. If you like very quiet typing then this is the switch for you.

Sounds really nice, and I really like the rgb lighting on the case. How good is this compared to budget aluminum boards like the ND75 and Rainy75?

Boss Merkebs, baka may fully built ka dyan na qk100 or zoom98, budget ko 15-20k
Do you have to take apart the whole board to relube the stabs, or can you just lube it while they're installed?
Since they're plate mounted they can easily be taken off the board for you to work on relubing em~

@@AdamVHS And according to you, what is my personal taste?
Not a fan of V2. Overall design looks cheaper and more like cotton candy. The new HALO icon is a bit ugly.
If you just did work as much on your weight as you did on your videos.
Aren’t you a big ball of sun shine and inspiration.😂
