I just received my Go Pack 2 (in black) and holy shit I did not think a backpack could look so good, it’s probably the most stylish I’ve ever had (and I have other Aer backpacks!). Fantastic job by Aer on this one.
I ordered the tote and will be interested to feel the material for myself. I personally like more structure in my bags so any "packable" line is probably not for me. That said, I like that Aer clearly didn't just do the bare minimum with these packs. They're not just black plastic bags with straps in 3 different locations. There's thoughtful organization and fun features like the magnetic closures. Personally, I love that they included 2 water bottle pockets and an external stuff pocket on all of them while maintaining that aesthetic (essential pockets for me but hard to find outside of hiking packs). I would have ordered the backpack too if it was more like 15L but 20L is too big for my travel daypack needs
@@Nomads.Nation I know, I bought one and it was expensive! But I’d look at it as a business investment to get more views and grow your channel! In fact I want to support y’all so I’m gonna purchase a bag via your link the only problem is you didn’t review the bag I want yet! (It’s the aer travel pack 3 small) Thanks anyway regardless your awesome personality and his great editing is what makes the channel great (can you also review the 28L bellroy transit backpack?!)
I think a compressable/packable bags are good if they don't feel really flimsy and look like a normal bag to an extent. I use the mystery ranch in and out. It feels like an old school small hiking bag. As well as being able to compress it and take it on a trip, it's very handy for when I need a wee bag but a bit bigger than a sling. Though you might not like it for all the straps and potential jangles. Another great video.
I like that you guys were behind the desk and had the products on top for display, I would suggest having some cool artwork behind you so it wouldn't look so plain like maybe a lit up neon light saying "nomads nation"
I have been following your youtube channel for a while and love the backpack reviews you do. Thank you. I need to purchase a backpack for occasional business travel and office use. I prefer a minimalist, subtle look. A bag that has a comfortable harness system (I prefer softer padding), uses durable materials, can take some beating but importantly, should be able to remain upright (stand) on its own and have a mindful organization built in the bag. Previously, for EDC/office, I used AER Tech Pack (previous version) but now I am needing a new backpack. The gears that I would carry (most of the time) 1 - 16' MacBook Pro 2021 2 - 13' MacBook Pro 2020 3 - iPad Pro 12.9 2021 4 - Chargers for MacBook and iPad/iPhone 5 - Notebook (A5 size) I usually carry my accessories (chargers, cables, dongles) in a tech pouch (AER Tech Pack). Any recommendations?
Thanks for the kind words! Pretty specific needs and the only bag I can think of that checks all your boxes is the Nomatic Backpack or Nomatic Travel Pack - but I’d recommend double checking their laptop specs
These are also good for those of us you overpack 😂. Bag over 50 lbs? Pop this out and lighten that load and they are all small enough for a personal item. 😊
Thanks so much for that Weston - and yes you are right, it’s something we are still working on. Please let us know in future videos if you feel the same ❤️
Aaron I can't decide between the Aer Go Pack 2 and the Able Carry Thirteen for my trip to Japan...it'll be my personal item on flight and daily bag when i get there. HELP!
Nice review, Aaron! Years ago I bought a Timbuk2 bag and I receive regular marketing messages from them introducing new bags. The latest weatherproof backpacks look pretty good. Ever considered doing a Timbuk2 backpack review? Cheers, Chris
Definite fail on those outside pockets being open to the elements and not even having any drain holes. Imagine you're on vacation and get caught in a sudden downpour. Anything in those pockets doesn't stand a chance. When you make your backpack, please make sure to include drainage holes, especially in the water bottle pockets, cos a lot of travellers get cold drinks or put ice in their water bottles, and that sometimes leads to condensation, and if there aren't any drains, that condensation could end up all over your room when you return.
Definitely agree. Loved my original Aer Go Pack, but that pocket in the Go 2 (although large) is not ideal for rainy situations. I travel to SE Asia and the Philippines a lot, and it has random, heavy rain sometimes. That open, outside pocket would be disastrous in those situations. Gotta skip this one.
I’ve always wanted to review the light duffels and yea the crinkly material gives it a look that might be considered cheap, but the materials feel amazing in person.
Aer go pack 2 🤦🏻♂️ TAKE MY MONEY I’m back to squeaker one honestly the only thing this one has over the navigator collapse is that’s is more esthetically Pleasing but I’d prefer using the collapsible for off trail pack because it has a tougher shell
I love me some AER.....typically. This newest edition, in my opinion, misses the mark. AER can't hit a home run EVERY time it comes out with something new...and this is one of those times. Normally with any AER product you don't need the logo branding to tell you it's an AER product. AER (typically) is like an Apple product....you just know it when you see it. Sorry to be a downer on this one...but you can't win them all. Hope all is well Aaron. (Mike in Ohio)

Totally agree on the water bottle holders - really great to have im when traveling. And they def put a lot of thought into the entire collection

the most humid and hottest month in Bangkok is not July eh, but April !!! 😁😁😁
its all steaming hot to me lol
Add hole to exit liquide
Agree, that would have been a huge feature upgrade
Hi Aaron, compared this Aer backpack and Bellroy Lite Ready Pack, which one do you prefer personally? Thanks
Aer

The only feedback I have on the new studio (and I’m use there are plans to fix this) but the echo is pretty evident.

Having a travel pack 3 small is it worth still getting go pack 2 just a thought
Yea they are pretty different - the Go will collapse significantly more but won’t be as great of a travel pack
Aaron I can't decide between the Aer Go Pack 2 and the Able Carry Thirteen for my trip to Japan...it'll be my personal item on flight and daily bag when i get there. HELP!
Able Carry all day. Aer Go is great if you NEED the bag to compress. But otherwise the 13 is much more comfortable and accessible
Nice review, Aaron!

do you recommend the go pack 2 or the day pack 2 for everyday backpack for office and such
The Go Pack is designed to compress for travel so if you don’t need a compressible pack then the Day Pack for sure
@@Nomads.Nation yeah probably gonna go with day pack
