I suggest you review them by posting your experience at 2-3 sites, where your experience can be read and shared by many. You can also submit a police or consumer protection report. They will come back asking you to let them make it right.
Well, this whole Real Patchouly thing has done my head in. I got a 2ml sample (EDT), then youtubed the fragrance. But the colour seemed too light for the EDT. Risked buying the EDP. It's completely different. Found a good price on the EDT. The EDP is a sizzling hot vanilla/amber. Whatever I sampled is fantastic. Is even a chance they reformulated the EDP and fucked that up? So there are language issues, and with labels on sample bottles especially. After I got the EDP of Real Patchouli I decided to get rid of it. I found a 100ml (about 90ml left) of the EDT luckily. It arrives tomorrow. Turns out the sample was 1920 EXTREME, which I fucking love! and has a patchouli backbone, is herbacious and a bit mentholy. So I found a 30ml decant online. What an embarassing thing. So I'll compare the Real Patchouli EDT to EDP. If I choose to sell the EDT and you still want a bottle, I'll be back in the UK (And have friends in Leeds) in July. I'll bring it along. Cheers!

I am glad to have old EDT bottles of real pachouly and vetiver ambrato.. but i would never buy a new Bois 1920 just like i would never buy a new creed! Hate that this happened to you, it really sucks when you spend your money on something and don't get what you paid for. I had a situation once where a retailer made a huge mistake and 1) accidentally doubled my order, and 2)sent me a flanker version of one of the original fragrances I ordered. They admitted their error but told me I would have to pay the return shipping and give back everything. I didn't mind giving back everything, but because they had doubled my order, the return shipping cost was crazy due to the weight. I ended up just keeping it all, selling the extra stuff and using the sales money to order another bottle of the original. I ended up ahead in the end but it was a real hassle.

Story time!!!! This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this before. They have other fragrances from a couple of years ago, and this is the same issue they’ve had for awhile. They have another fragrance in the blue bottle, edt box, edp label on bottle. This was before they even did a reformulation. I think that’s a older bottle though. Really annoying still

They weren't even advertising the edp for sale on their own website. I had to email them to find out ohhh yes sorry we just switched everything to edp. I was super annoyed Duck I must tell you.

So I can understand there response back to you it’s a standard response and they clearly do not have the responsibility to deal with it unless you purchased this from them directly. Amazon should just refund you back and they will. It’s an easy way out for the brand but they are entitled to that I’m afraid.

I am aware that I'm not the only person who has faced this issue, though, and they completely avoided answering whether they were aware of this issue happening with other bottles and boxes. I got the feeling they did know, whether it was a mistake or whether they were just trying to use up a load of old boxes to save money... probably never know 🤷🏻♂️ Also, I don't believe the seller would go to those kind of lengths to shift a bottle, they weren’t a small seller. I felt fobbed off and, frankly, a bit cheated. I also felt that, on balance, the issue did lie with the producer and not the seller

@@slicklace I checked on ebay and there were pictures on listings where the bottle and box were different and I also asked around a few people who hadn't noticed until I mentioned it. Appears to have been an issue for a while and then it stopped. Makes me wonder if, when they changed the bottle, they had extra boxes with the previous concentration on and just decided to use them up. That's my theory anyway. Thanks man 🙏🏻

this kind of stuff really gets under my skin too. you pay for something, you're given something else, and when you object, you are either told to jump through hoops to fix someone else's mistake, or else you're ignored or told "that's just how it is." yeah, ok. and it's not always clear whether it's the result of trickery or just good old-fashioned incompetence. i hope someone makes good on it for you, although i doubt they will.

For me, I'm not as picky as you , but in your shoes, I'd be livid, since you were particularly seeking the old version out.
It's pronounced "boyce", not like it's French (bwah). Also, not sure what you're upset about. You got a more concentrated version. It's not hard to re-package something wrapped in plastic if you're careful enough. I would trust a manufacturer before I'd trust a third-party Amazon marketplace vendor. I don't think it's Bois 1920's fault.
Problem you have is that I'm not the first and only person who has had this issue. eBay searches and some forum searches at the time of recording showed multiple bottles, from different continents, with the same issue. I don't trust this manufacturer. The "more concentrated version" is weaker and inferior to the original version, which happens a lot when perfumes are reformulated, as there is no industry standard. Have you compared the two formulations to each other? I did and have since, the EDP that Boyce placed in the wrong box is rotten in comparison. I still think it's Bois 1920's fault
