  • In today's vlog I go undercover to find out if authorized Parfum de Marley dealers are selling fakes. My boyfriend bought me a bottle of Oajan and I was a bit suspicious of the different color juice this bottle had. Enjoy!

Okay, interesting- maybe underwent a formulation change with newer packaging. But fragrances with a lot of vanilla typically macerate, and the perfume juice will naturally appear darker and more concentrated with time.

Oh interesting! I didn't know that. The only way to truly find out is to test another newer packaged Oajan at the counter to compare the juice and confirm they're both clear as water, the only thing is that every Nordstrom I go to, they only have the older packaged Oajan as testers. I honestly prefer the older packaged one (because of the milky juice), but it is already sold-out in all Nordstrom locations near LA, the guy would have happily exchanged my bottle. I think Nordstrom needs to remove all old bottles as testers because the juice is def different once you purchase a new bottle and it threw me way off when I got mine as a gift.

Does the new version you have still smell the same as the Sample

They honestly smell like 99% the same, the new version that I received smells a tiny bit stronger than the older version but I don't know if its just in my head lol

@titamcfrizzy Ok, well, stronger is good. I ran into a similar problem. I bought a bottle off of Neiman Marcus I was surprised to find out everything changed on the bottle I was worried that They reformulated the juice. So I called parfums de marly in Manhattan. The woman I spoke with said that they were changing the packaging to make it more modern. Which I think is ridiculous. I think the gold looked way better. But she said they did not touch the juice. She said fragrances after a certain amount of time will change color I have heard that before but that doesn't ring true for all fragrances. I get nervous when these companies release a new fragrance and after a couple of years they start thinning out the juice to maximize profit.
They did the same thing with. Carlisle and layton . They both were around 75% alcohol. Now the new ones are around 81% alcohol, which means they removed 6% of the perfume oil. Thank you so much for responding!
