Well I tell you Mr Joseph, that system you have makes you look many many years younger, happier, cool and confident Monsieur. Congratulations for grasping the reality of Good Hair Days and I look forward to following your fine example in little old England. Fabulous !
You are my hero. I still have my hairline, but it is getting very thin overall in a widow's peak, and when I watched one of your videos the other day, I felt a thrill that displaced the dread I've been feeling for years now, just looking forward to inevitably being bald. Very informative video Mike… Thanks! I know guy who uses a hairband to hold his unit in place while he’s glueing the front. Then removes the band and finishes the back. Cheers
Thanks man. I really appreciate that. And will do! Maybe a video all about tailoring the style of the unit? With thinning shears, hairline, blending, etc?
This video is amazing! Ty for posting this! I reinstalled my hair system 2 times with just gluing the system, accidentally having it too far back or too far up and lifting it off, and back and forth and it was a nightmare! Getting my hairs stuck under it as well! Bleh! THIS is legit! Thanks again!
Hey thanks! I actually don’t do anything other than trim it. Ever notice the hairline is imperfectly v-looped where some areas are thinner/thicker and some hairs may not come to the edge of the base? I trim it so it’s imperfect but lines up with where the hairs have been placed. That’s it!
Help! Michael you look fantastic! I've tried 3 different hair systems, but they always have this curl & so hard to style. Like a mop on my head. Can you please tell me where you bought yours & more importantly the specs. I want straight hair I can style like yours. Are those high-lites gray? (Your Look) would be perfect for me.
Hey thanks! Do you have the unit cut by a stylist or a barber? The unit by itself has too much hair and curl to be manageable. If you do have it cut then I’d try cutting it shorter potentially.
Fantastic video thank you for doing this. Only feedback I will give you is how different the color of your bio hair from your hair system. Have you thought about it? You can maybe get away with it if you ask your barber to shave the bio hair and fade it gradually moving up the grades. Right now in the vid it looks a little off. Please take this critique from a place of love brother.
Hey I watched your video last night. I consider myself to be some what of a pro installing my own system but the first time I put on a new unit before it’s cut it seems always to come crooked. I just purchased a new unit and I used your method of installing the unit and I have to say it came super perfect thank you for that information 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I just want to say that your hair looks great!! Also wanted to ask you, Where did you buy it, how much it cost and where do you get the glue and things to take care of it. Thank you
One of the best and most clear videos I’ve seen about application! Does this method work for a very secure hold for up to 10-14 days? Or would you recommend putting another layer of ultra hold or tape on the back if we wanted a bit more hold time?
Can you please do a list of all the products with thier information that you used -type of hair model -type of exfoliant -type of glue -best clear type With links possibly. Thank you for the vid

For reference I am balding at a level that product like Toppik would "hide" the balding, but I can feel that it wont last long still ( did that for almost 5 years though!) But now I am kinda looking into "THE NEXT STEP" haha. Thank you very much bro, hope you see this!
Some people do Clip In systems if you’ve got hair to attach it to! Orrrr you could just shave it down and have a more secure attachment for 1-2 weeks at a time. Are you fairly active in life?
@@michaeljosephghd I mean I am average active, I work 5 days a week in thr car business and go to the gym 2 to 3 times a week. And one random question: All the pills they try to sell us is a scam right? Meaning hair system would be my best AND only way ? Thanks for replying you the best bro!

Great stuff just found you and love your excitement 😀 OK got a question... As I have seen: you love poly , I have had one in the past but find that you can see 2/2 mm of the poly e.g::: shine with the first few mm: do you think I have not cut the unit enough to the hair. If that makes sense.... Thank you sir. I'm from the 🇬🇧 Thanks for your time and support 🙏
Thanks for the video! I wish I had watched this before having to toss my UTS unit.. What about if you apply a system that has lace or mono? You can't apply the adhesive to the unit itself then, can you? Also, how long do you use the UTS system for before it starts losing too much hair? I've used the Ghost Bond XL and when I sweat while working out, it seems to make the glue too watery and it gets in the hair fibers, making them clump up and then fall out as I'm trying to fix it..
Hello Michael, Great Video, Great Content and done the right way! I am new to the hair system world. I just got one done down in Miami. I do have several questions though: 1- Is the unit seen on this video of yours lace or poly? 2- Mine is attached to my scalp with just tape. The front inner rim with some double sided and curved small tape pads and the sides and back inner rim with one that comes in a roll. For some reason the little squares bond way better than the roll. A) Is it possible to use the small curved tape pads along the whole inner perimeter and ditch the roll? B) Is it okay to use liquid adhesive in addition to the tape and if so directly on the unit or just on the scalp? I ask this because in other videos I have watched they recommend not to add liquid adhesive directly onto the unit because you can damage the breathability of it. 3) At this moment i am only using the tape as i mentioned earlier. (little curved squares in the front and the roll for the sides and back). No liquid adhesives of any kind but i feel the unit extremely loose and slidy when sweating or after a shower. The moment i take it off and dry my scalp and the unit with a hairdryer the unit regains its bonding capabilities just by doing that. This scenario is not good for me becase i want to have an active lifestyle where I can sweat and get wet without having to make any plans for these things. What do you suggest here? Do you think the liquid adhesive directly on my scalp and in direct contact with the tape from the unit will help with this particular issue? Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!
Hey man, great questions! I also live an active lifestyle and couldn’t find a way to make the tape work for me. I typically wear an all poly unit and use ultra hold to adhere the entire thing. From hairline sides and back, even the middle of the unit literally 100% attached by liquid adhesive. Works great, breathe just fine, and I can snorkel, scuba, even skydive with no problems!
Awesome! Thanks for your quick answer. So your unit is poly but i was told that on lace units it is not a good idea to use liquid adhesive directly on the unit but instead around the edges where the tape is and on the scalp. Do you know anything about that? What about using the curved square pads along the whole inner perimeter?
Your videos are awesome. For the first time I’m considering trying this. I just would love to find a place that could do the fitting and install the first time. Do you know if hairclub for men is essentially doing this? Or are there certain keywords to find a hair system shop locally? Thx again for the videos!
ok so do you go to a regular salon to keep your natural hair cut and blended with the hair system? Also how often are you replacing the hair system, and do you go to a salon for the initial cut in?
Yep! I’ve been to salons and to barbers I replace it every 3 months or so mostly because I want a fresh system with a different look/style. I have never cut a system myself so I always get my barber to do it!
How much is this hair piece and how much do the products cost per mo or how often do you have to purchase the products? Also do you need to shave your head completely to put the application down on the scalp and hair piece? I’m glad you showed how to do this at home because I have the absolute hardest time getting my haircut because I’m so insecure about my hair loss because it has ruined all of my self confidence about myself. Also what’s the website for all of this?
You still have to deal with touch ups thru the week. Running to the salon at 7:30 a.m. is not possible. So you need to be able to handle those situations yourself and have the products at home to handle them.
I just came across your video and I’m window shopping for a hair system. Any suggestions for a trusted online store to get one? From where did you get yours?
Thanks man! And I usually get mine from Lordhair. I’ve got some discount links and codes in the video description for you too (helps us both out!). They’ve been awesome to work with and the products and service is great.
Hello my fried! Can I ask you... My head sweats a lot... :( Particularly front area... I tried to wear combo system like lace and skin. My question is: now I want try full skin system, what kid of bond I have to use to feel secure? I assume the same way like yours is the best - clear bond glue? Or tape? Help me please with an advice :) Thanks a million :)
Where should someone start? My husband has dreamed of one for years but is put off by the process. We are near Sacramento, CA... should we start calling barbershops asking about "hair systems"? Is that the way to phrase it?
I’m thinking about doing this I’ve talked to my wife and a bunch of people at work and everyone’s on board but I’m still having a hard time doing it. I shaved my head for 15 years just to accept what happened but I have to shave my beard so that I can get my neck, tattooed and I’m thinking about doing this while I don’t have a beard
@@michaeljosephghd I scheduled a free consultation at local hair restoration center. I’ll mention to them the frontal hair piece. Hoping my results are as good as yours 🙏

Thank you for sharing this. I've been contemplating this for a couple of years. I have curly hair and flat ironed it straight for years. My front and top have thinned and receded. My fear is if my hair system is straight, will I be able to flat iron my sides to match.
@@michaeljosephghd thanks! Cutting my sides and back short and a straight system on top, now looking at yours, I probably won't need the flat iron. My real hair can be short. This is exciting!
Thanks for the video brother. I'm thinking of getting one. But all these videos and styles are all the same. The hair is combed back. Would it look natural if I wanted a shaggy look? Like a skater type look? I'm a young guy.. Subbed.
What size hair piece do you get 8x10 inch? My hair piece is a a 8x10 and sides seem to overlap on to my hair and therefore I cannot put any adhesive on the the ends of the sides and so the hair piece is loose right there and lifts. I don't want adhesive in my hair. How do i keep the sides from lifting? What do I do about that? Thank you for your help
If I remember correctly in one of your videos you mentioned that you live here in Utah? If so.. I was curious if there might be a place you’d suggest for a first time install? This is some scary stuff! 😆 but I’m ready to move on with my life in a new direction.
Utah in the house! Honestly, if you’d be open to it - I’d do it for you if I can shoot some content! Hook you up with my barber to cut it in for you in exchange!
@@michaeljosephghd Sure thing! I don’t even have a system yet. I’m still kind of in the dark about which one to purchase. But yeah I’d do it. Nothing like jumping off the deep end! lol. I live in Bountiful.
I was able to get the correct color and am ordering the system tonight. I’ll get with you when it arrives which shouldn’t be more than a week if that’s ok?
For me I actually tend to shave my hair to the stock system size because my head is large enough 😂 But sometimes I order from a new company to test it out and it does overlap. It’s not a real issue as it still blends well, but would be a concern if you don’t tell people and they try playing with your hair or something. Overall not an issue for me.
Apologies for the delay! They can last me about 3-4 months before I want to change it out. It could probably last longer but I tend to want a fresh system at that point.
i am wondering i want to love to have a piece. theres nobody in my area that will style or cut a piece like this. want to know and see how a precut piece will fit????
My stylist uses black glue which makes my hairline look a bit dark and not natural like yours. What glue do you use? And does it change color or remain see-through? How often do you have to change it? Thanks great vid, your hair looks amazing!
A lot of people who do extensions use that glue, but for hair systems I use Ultra Hold. It stays clear no matter what. I remove/clean/reattach my system every 1.5 weeks or so, and I buy and install a fresh system every 3 months or so (you could go longer but I just like different styles). Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Good instructions on cleaning. I feel better with tape though. I do have to wonder why you don't let the hair the back of your head to grow and meet the rest of your hair? It almost looks like you need a unit there too. Let that hair grow and your whole head would look great

Where can I purchase a hair system? And what's the type you recommend? Thank you
Your videos are awesome.
I love to try this. But I’m the person who shower and shampoo my hair everyday. Can I do that with this hair system?
Hey man! What's the size of the hand-held mirror you are using?
How long do you use the same system before replacing it?
I’m thinking about doing this I’ve talked to my wife and a bunch of people at work and everyone’s on board but I’m still having a hard time doing it. I shaved my head for 15 years just to accept what happened but I have to shave my beard so that I can get my neck, tattooed and I’m thinking about doing this while I don’t have a beard
Do you not have to blow dry this glue ?
The one I have got has to be blow dried
Would I be considered candidate for Hair System if I’m not bald? I have receding hair line that exposes most my forehead.
Absolutely. You may be able to use a frontal. It essentially replaces your hairline and blends right into your bio hair. Have you looked into that?
@@michaeljosephghd I scheduled a free consultation at local hair restoration center. I’ll mention to them the frontal hair piece. Hoping my results are as good as yours 🙏
Great video!
Thank you! Apologies for the delay, but I super appreciate your kind words!
Can anyone tell me how much for this wig hair system and where can i get this..act i'm from malaysia...
All the info is in the video description! $200-300 USD. I believe this one is from Lordhair.
I w never done this and I was wondering how do u know size and color if it's ordered..I've been wearing a cap every day since 2005 and I want to feel what it's like to walk outside with confidence wen I don't have my cap on ... please help me 🙏
How long does a single system last before having to be totally replaced? I’m trying to figure monthly or yearly costs.
Thank you for sharing this. I've been contemplating this for a couple of years. I have curly hair and flat ironed it straight for years. My front and top have thinned and receded. My fear is if my hair system is straight, will I be able to flat iron my sides to match.
That’s a good point. While you CAN get systems with heavier curl, I’ve found that there’s always some way to make it work well!
Subbed.
Skater style would be awesome and easy to do. My buddy Jake Kent has a similar look and it’s very natural looking.
@@michaeljosephghd Thanks ill take a look!
Just a question to understand your perspective, why not use tape? Isn’t it like much easier to maintain?
I don't mind tape, but it's easier for me to put the adhesive where I want it and MUCH cleaner on the hairline. Great question!
How long can you Be in the water. This is my first instalment
@@MrTelecaster101 Absolutely!
Does the unit overlap on the sides a little bit on your hair?
For me I actually tend to shave my hair to the stock system size because my head is large enough 😂
But sometimes I order from a new company to test it out and it does overlap. It’s not a real issue as it still blends well, but would be a concern if you don’t tell people and they try playing with your hair or something. Overall not an issue for me.
Hi Michael, how long does your s22 last you? Do
You ever need to dye it? Thanks for your time:)
Apologies for the delay! They can last me about 3-4 months before I want to change it out. It could probably last longer but I tend to want a fresh system at that point.
Do you have links for the products you use in this video? Thanks
i am wondering i want to love to have a piece. theres nobody in my area that will style or cut a piece like this. want to know and see how a precut piece will fit????
Hi Michael, which color is that unit? And what type is the front contour?
This is #220 - brown with 20% grey. And I believe it’s a CC contour but you can check their site to confirm. It’s a stock unit with no customization!
Okay, thanks!
What if you sweat alot on your head ? will it be a problem for the glue ? mess up the hair ?
My stylist uses black glue which makes my hairline look a bit dark and not natural like yours. What glue do you use? And does it change color or remain see-through? How often do you have to change it? Thanks great vid, your hair looks amazing!
A lot of people who do extensions use that glue, but for hair systems I use Ultra Hold. It stays clear no matter what. I remove/clean/reattach my system every 1.5 weeks or so, and I buy and install a fresh system every 3 months or so (you could go longer but I just like different styles). Thanks for watching and for the comment!
@@michaeljosephghd Thanks a million! Would love to know your suppliers where you get your systems from. Really appreciate your feedback! Cheers Mike.
@@KaiGaming84 I usually order from Lordhair! Check the video description for discount links and codes 🙌
So what is your recommendation for working out, sweat, and swimming? You mentioned you go snorkeling.
Good instructions on cleaning. I feel better with tape though. I do have to wonder why you don't let the hair the back of your head to grow and meet the rest of your hair? It almost looks like you need a unit there too. Let that hair grow and your whole head would look great
I’m new to this and I came across this video because doing my research lol so this may sound really stupid but can you shower with it on ? Or do you cover it up and shower ?
Welcome! And yeah! Shower and swim and workout and live life! I wash it in the shower twice a week!
