▸ Who is Skaar, Son of Hulk: Skaar Banner is a fictional character, a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, usually as a supporting character in stories featuring his father, the Hulk, who conceived Skaar with the extraterrestrial Caiera during the Planet Hulk storyline. Skaar has powers inherited from both his parents, although this original set had been drained ever since. Like his father, the Hulk, he possesses immense strength, stamina, durability, and healing, as well as enhanced senses. His strength increases whenever enraged such that he could break the Juggernaut's armor,although he was not so strong as the Savage Hulk persona. From his mother, Caiera, Skaar can channel these tectonic energies from the planet, granting him mastery over lava and stone with Old Power - a synthesized form of the Power Cosmic, but highly unstable. Iron Fist is able to daze him with a powerful chi-punch. He could also revert to a human form when calm or otherwise incapacitated. However, in Skaar's birth cocoon, he emerged from within the depth of "burning waters" and became resistant to its intense heat.

His hulk form is physically more mature the his his humanoid form. When he first emerged he was in his hulk form and look like a buff 8 year old
Yep. His hulk form his older but normal form is but a young kid. Years later when Hulk is Doc Green, he’s a young man and cured of his gamma radiation. No longer a hulk but an old strong

I like Skaar's story a lot. Glad you got around to a video featuring him. I think it'd be dope if you continued his story because it gets really confusing, and the way you cover a story tends to clear things up perfectly.

How did Skaar grow so fast? It's only been a couple months and he's already looking like a fully developed Hulk
I actually like that you go back and explain why certain characters or even their storylines exist from both a cannon and a business perspective. I've been meaning to get into reading comics from marvel, dc and the like but for a long time but the info and characters was all pretty overwhelming for me. It's because of the way that you have explained and 'simplified' these universes, characters and storylines that you have allowed me to find characters that I would like to start following in comics and story lines that I would like to read through myself (to name one: Johnathan Hickman's Fantastic 4 run).

Samuri Uzumaki if so I have yet to find it in his videos. I've seen the Cho Hulk and alternate style of Hulk as a What If, but not World War Hulk, Planet Hulk, or Red Hulk origin.
I remember he has done World War Hulk at least.

Great recap and explanation as always. You said something pretty deep and realistic at the 2:00 mark. The gladiatorial games were in fact in place to keep the masses entertained so that the truth would remain blurred and rebellions would not start. Much like today, to a lesser degree with Sports (NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB) and movies. Sorry, lol. Went off the deep end. It's 230am. Thank you again.

ItsMichaelReid not really because they were all greedy and evil before getting their powers, well in some not evil, but corrupt at the least, while Hiro-Kala is just like Skaar, but taking a wrong turn if you will, and he hasn't even used his Gamma form yet.

Could you do the alternative ending of the world war hulk series where dies with the planet exploding, and Hulks wife survives and gets revenge on earth and all the heroes. That story has always intrigued me and I think it would be a great tie in too these hulk episodes

wanted to say you do a great job on these videos. I treat them like books on tape. when ever i went in a comic book store, i never knew where to start. It can be frustrating to pick up a new comic and not know whats going on. I know the basics, but most of the time that isn't enough, and you layout all of the things that a person would need to know to follow the story.

I think conceptually the tenants of the story arc are good. Tying the Old Power to the Hulk through Skaar and ultimately Galactus is a nice touch. I mean I hear you on the rush job feel but hey, at least they had a solid storyline to follow. More than I can say for some of these other titles they throw on shelves NOWADAYS KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN

AnToNcHaMp96 there is a movie called Planet hulk but the story is changed up a bit. But it's only up to the point where Hulk becomes king.

58er I think Thane in the comics, he's half Inhuman and Titan. MCU verse may change its origin and race to make more sense, since Inhumans are now stranded on tv and not on the movie verse. GOTG had a lot stories with him so, we'll see what they do with Inhumans next year
