Loved this game. Tried getting it when I was 14 after it’s release, and the girl at GameStop told my mom that there’s sex in the game, which made it sound like some porn game. I had to beg for a week to get it. Stupid GameStop.

I never finished the original game when i was younger so its a buy for me.
I didn't finish it when younger but got like 1/2 through the game. In the remake i got to the final boss but upgraded my saucer wrong as i focused to much on upgraded cypto as you mostly play as him. The final boss has you mostly play as the suacer ..... so i watched the endings on youtube. The ending is kinda good also there are 6 of them.

This is my 1st exposure to the game but I bought it after trying the demo from GOG. It was just FUN to play with no real emotional commitment. Sometimes that’s all you need from a game.

What do you mean feel like a 2005 game, the game feels so different that it feels like a new Destroy All Humans
I loved this game as a kid!
However, here are some things that I didn’t like about the remake: (Or things that need fixing)
- When using the “Distract” ability; there are no sound affects.
Unlike in the original there was some funny sound effects.
- For some reason when you go to pick up a vehicle with PK. Theres a weird pause before you pick it up while the vehicle wobbles back and forth.
In the original, you just picked it up straight away.
- The holobob is way more annoying to use in the remake.
For one, in the original. You could still PK objects while disguised as a human. And still remain human. In the remake, if you do literally anything, your comprised instantly.
Also i dont like the whole “glitchy” thing that happens when you are seen while holobobbing.
Plus, you could holobob from much further away in the original. You didnt need to be within a certain distance.
- The Sonic Boom doesn’t send cars flying like in the original.
-Sometimes the hit boxes are off when throwing an object at another object.
Overall. I love the game. These are just a few things that I noticed that take me out of the experience. Some things could be fixed easily, some are just part of the game. None of them are game-breaking but i thought i should mention them.

I agree with everything you’ve said and another thing that I wish they kept the same was the collision of objects while your using pk. You used to be able to pick up a car or various object and just dome people with it but now cars and objects just phase through them and the only thing you can really do with them is throw them and watch them boom

I mean that’s just how they rebalanced certain parts of the game, but I really wish they didn’t mess with the sonic boom as much. Nothing was funnier than watching a farmer get sonic boomed across the map lol

They probably will. THQ Nordic has been on a ball will a lot of their stuff lately. I really do hope though we get a new IP from them soon. They've done a lot of great remakes/remasters so I feel like they can pull off something new.

I fondly recall renting this game from Blockbuster with my friend Alan when we were kids. We both had the Game Pass so we would bike up to the store and rent a new game every couple days. We played damn near every game in the store. 15 years later I get to enjoy the game with my friend again. :D

When they raided area 51, they found the plans for this remake.
I played part 2 when I was young like maybe 5 or 7 so my memory was vague but I remembered having it in my library and I recognized the cover and what franchise it was and so I said "you know what the games on sale" and I picked it up.
We need more games like this right now, just dumb fun that doesn’t take itself seriously like it used to be.
P.S. if you’ve ever seen the “where the hell is matt” videos, he was a developer on the original game.

Wow, it’s great! Talk about feeling shot back in time the best kinda way. Every old school gamer like me has a cpl that make them feel like that and for me this is a big one. Shoots me back to 19 years old when I’d be stoked to play the newest games on my demo disc that came with my issue of opm/ Official PlayStation Monthly. Those were the good days. I miss those days.

Bought this the minute it released honestly and I love it so far. The new stuff they added is a perfect update for modern times yet still holds the retro and nostalgia together like cement. I played the living hell outta this when I was a kid and now I'm hoping they do the same thing to the second game, truly do. This series was an A+ for me lol.

I’m a die hard fan of this series, it makes me so happy that they’ve taken the time and resources to remake it! Playing this one just makes me more pumped up for a possible remake of DAH 2 - the best one
I should mention, the reason why his voice acting is a bit bad is because it's the exact same lines from 2005.
I remember playing this on my Xbox way back when... It's was a really fun game and I'm excited to play it again with the updated graphics.

The game is great! The sequels were great! The remake is AMAZING and looks sooooo beautiful. Seriously best birthday present I got, well I bought it myself but hey pretty sure I wished for this a few years back jk lol
My good friend said that this is the same game with a new oat of paint. That's what I've wanted for a while. I really enjoyed the original and have been wanting to play it in a more modern way. I am super glad they did this. I was 10 when this game first release and it was a blast for me back then.
I'm replaying DAH2 right now, but I think they did a great job with this. I will definitely be picking it up. Was a big fan!

I always felt that this was an nostalgia type game you either like it and it's for ya or no. But yea I felt 2 was the more refined title.

Personally I loved the settings in DAH: Big Willy Unleashed. I also loved how you can spawn in a whole alien takeover turning the game into a crazy battle zone. Sad they didn’t implement that into the remaster would’ve been cool. I still think that this is a solid remaster and will probably get it just for nostalgia.
Honestly i loves big willy as a kid. I never played DAH 2, but I appreciated the insane chaos that can ensue. The zombies, the robot, the saucer. I loved it all

These first two games are literally some of the very first memories I have playing a game, having so much fun, and having my mind blown for what you could do in a game. It makes me beyond happy to see then actually remade, I never even thought they'd be remembered.

I loved the original and cant wait to play the remaster/remake it looks amazing. I always thought the characters and jokes were very funny, Crypto's Jack Nicholson impression voice was and still is awesome and very funny. The back and forth between him and the boss alien is brilliant, I actual enjoyed the holographic disguise with the mind reading, just more fun and sense of humour. This game was always very funny to play with a great sense of humour, the variation of weapons being a big plus. If you have never played this I would definitely recommend it, its both a lot of fun and very funny.

I just feel like you have no creativity when you play/review this game. The holograms are like the biggest part of the game. Its like invasion of the body snatcher esk. When your running around long enough as an alien the army starts attacking lmao

as a person who loved the cartoon "invader zim" this is right up my alley.
It’s fun but I wish they added more weapons to use cause compared to the others there is a huge lack of tools, gadgets of mass destruction that I wish would get a little bit more of those types of weapons like the meteor gun or the back hole gun, or the disc launcher etc.. I think it’s probably cause I preferred playing the sequels more than the original cause of that simple reason ig
