Not necessarily...my parents in Spain have a stove and you do have to light the gas with a lighter (they use a long one that you can buy in every supermarket). I think it depends on the stove.
@@dottythefirst114 It does depend, but I can't imagine it needed a lighter and the owner not providing said lighter. It would have been in a kitchen drawer.

It was on the screen in front of Kelsey. You can watch it in planes, there are channels on in flight entertainment that solely show footage from outside cameras.

I am from a town called Kearny in NJ (US) and it was settled by Scottish immigrants from Glasgow. When I was a kid, a lot of Portuguese immigrants settled there too. When we went to Glasgow, we SAW the influence over Kearny via the architecture etc. It's interesting to see the influence that Lisbon has on Kearny too; watching this video. Also, I've never been into Pastel de nata until the past two years and now I'm INTO IT. I've had a ton of Portuguese friends in my life and they're all obsessed with Portugal. 1) I can see why and 2) I wanna go!

It's definitely been a while, but I think their channel is just growing and evolving and right now they're focus isn't on things that would bring them together in a video
I had been wondering if they were still friends. Then I think about how long they have been doing this channel together and that a change of pace might just be nice for them. I love their content and will watch together or apart.
I followed the Recycled Life then the two ladies split. Lost interest and stopped following either.
They are both amazing people. I hope if they are going through something they are able to come to a resolution. Working for 10 years together with a friend can't be easy.
I think they are taking advantage of the fact that they are able to create content with the crew in order to allow themselves some freedom, some holidays, which you probably noticed one person was on while the other created content and vice Versa. I’m sure the pandemic has given us all itchy feet, and in their case like someone else said, they’re expanding their content (which was forcibly apart during the pandemic and also worked so I think it makes sense to expand on that). I think they’re very much still friends, just expanding and allowing themselves to take a breather
Loved this vlog, loved seeing you enjoy my country! Lisbon is beautiful but if you ever come back to Portugal there are so many other beautiful places to visit, would love to reccommend some! We are a very small country but packed full of beauty 😊
Ps. I also feel like there is a big difference between Pasteis de Belem and Pasteis de Nata (like the ones you had at Manteigaria). Personally I'm with Angela on this one, Pasteis de Nata are my favorite, the filling is less runny and usually richer.

Went to Lisbon, Sintra, & Porto in Jan 2020! Love this vlog. Also, agree, Pasteis de Belem is the original and the best, for me. A close second is Fabrica de Nata, then Manteigaria (the one they ate at TimeOut Lisbon) is the 3rd. I ate a total of 21 pasteis in the span of 8 days in Portugal. Pasteis de Belem IS DEFINITELY WORTH THE HYPE.
This made my lunch hour. Cannot wait to go to Europe again!!! Thank you for sharing your trip Kelsey 🥰

I loved Lisbon so much we're planning to move there within the next couple of months.
I see you’re staying longer in Madrid. You should visit Primark. There are also other towns close by that you can visit for a one day trip, such as Segovia. You can also take the AVE and be in Seville (just 2 1/2 hours!). It’s magical!

Sintra is magical, good choice to visit Regaleira as well! You also have good pastries there! Well, we have good pastries all over the country lol

Concerning the carbon footprint: the trip Madrid-Lisbon could have been done by train. Travelling through Europe by train is a wonderful thing to do - I am not an esoteric person, but I find the slower pace to be good for the soul, too. :-)

i believe it is "O Mundo Fantástico da Sardinha Portuguesa", it's a canned sardine store here in Lisbon!😆 might seem weird but canned sardines have a lot of history in Portugal!
