Little Helper's First Youth Field Day

- I've had videos of our local Youth Field Day in years past from covering it on the ambulance, but this was Little Helper's first year to attend as well as my first year to be a parent. I am excited for this event every year like it is my first time. She did well and enjoyed herself a lot.

Thank you Donna. She is already looking forward to next year. I've covered this awesome event on the ambulance for the last 15 years or so, and loved every minute that I was there. This year was my first year as a parent, and let me tell you, those volunteers that organize and work this awesome day work their behinds off all year long leading up to this one day event.

It is a great event for our kids. I've covered this event with the ambulance for the last 15 years or so. I was there the first year that every kid walked out of there with a duck call. That's all that you heard ALL DAY, lol! The noise gave my partner that year, who is also one of our 911 dispatchers a migraine, lol! Needless to say, the next shift that I worked and she answered me on the radio, I had to give her a quack over the air. She was laughing so hard that she couldn't answer me and her 911 partner had to do it for her, LOL!!! This year was my first year as a parent. I was just as excited about it as she was. Thanks!!!

I liked the dear with the mask on lol that looked like a great time for her she will grow up to be a tough girl great video brother I enjoyed it.
Great Video! Reminds me of the times I spent with my dad. Great that you are teaching her all these great experiences at a young age. She will always remember it. Enjoy watching your little helper videos.
At the closing ceremony, they spoke of a few former Youth Field Day parents who had passed last year. Approximately 25 years after their children had been kids here, their families chose to have memorial contributions made to the organization that makes this happen every year. They said that after all of those years that their families still talk about the memories that they had made at Youth Field Day as families. Memories like these aren't made in front of a TV or video game console. Thanks for the kind words.

Her and I both. I was just as excited to be there as a parent for the first time as she was to be there as a participant. I've covered this awesome event for the last 15 years or so and loved every year of it, but as a parent...my love for this multiplied 10x.

She is already excited for next. She was apprehensive for this year and I told her that she had to try it once. She’s glad that she did, and so am I. This organization that makes this happen every year is awesome.

She and her cousins enjoyed this lot, as did I as a parent. I've provided medical coverage to this awesome event for about 15 years prior, but this was my first year as a parent, as well as her first year to attend. I've enjoyed every year that I have been there. I couldn't just go and sit at the ambulance all day. I HAD to walk around and watch the kids enjoying themselves and learning about the outdoors.
