The sad thing for me is so many people will never stumble across this amazing band and music. I get more musical chills from this band than any other.
TSOAD is a truly extraordinary album. I had the privilege of interviewing Neal back in 2017 ahead of their gig in Manchester, UK.
I happened to see someone mention Portnoy in a facebook post in this band... Only reason I ever heard of them! Totally stumbled into it

What an incredible talent is Eric Gillette.
This tune proves three of the most important assets of Neal Morse: first he is an amazing writer of very complex yet simple tunes. Second he surrounds himself with brilliant musicians and most importantly, the majority of the members not only can sing but they have tremendous voices that contribute to the complexity of an entire album.

Portnoy defenitely doesn’t have a tremendous voice hahahaha .... but anyway, I enjoy NM projects
This a great stand alone song but in going with Neal's brilliance, it also ties into the rest of the album. Pure goosebumps

Look into Spock's Beard, Transatlantic and the Flower Kings also. And Marillion. Not all are related to this but all are good.

Mega props to Neal for putting together a music video in which he "takes a back seat" and showcases the 2 gems he found in Eric and Bill. Others in his situation might let ego get in the way of doing such a thing. Similitude of A Dream is an insanely good album. Two discs of consistently great material from someone who has already put out so much content; it's uncanny.

This album. First I bought it, first listen: 3.5/5. Second and third listen: 4/5. - more and more I listened to this masterpiece, it became one of my top-5 albums of all-time. ❤️🔥

The concept album is a fusion of Neals work over the last 10 years. This is my impession. And... this is THE masterpiece. Mike is right!
It is therefore possible to find different passages in previous works. But the whole work is simply outstanding in its quality, the interplay and the performance of all musicians. And it is a performance of all musicians together! This masterpiece can only be created with these musicians in the context of this composition. Only these musicians could present this work with this power and character.
This is one impulse buy I feel I won't regret!!

I watched the rock opera that included Rick Florian from Whiteheart and John Schlitt from Petra, two of my favorite bands from back in the day. It was phenomenal!! That led me to this band. I have no idea how I have not ever heard them before! All I can say is WOW!! In every sense of the word. What talent, what voices, what great messages!! I am thankful to have discovered you guys. Definitely a new fan! And this, all because I listened to an interview with Rick Florian where the interviewer asked him about playing Satan in a rock opera, which intrigued me. So I looked it up on RUclips and here we are!! 😊
