the protesters of the 60's did nothing to end the vietnam war, the war was lost on its own because the u.s. would not commit full fire power to winning.
the "equal rights" movement did not make the blacks or the women happy, they still are protesting 50 years later about the same old shit.

The reason people hide their faces is because they're cowards, They are afraid to be seen standing up for what they think is right. Or they are just punks there to simply commit crimes, Who are still cowards none the less.
I suppose you also believe that soldiers take their guns into battle because they are cowards, too. When you express a view that the power-that-be don't like, it can be prudent to conceal your identity so as not to find that the retribution leaves you homeless and starving.
