it's jawdropping how much bombs were threw at them and its inspiring how they made life out of something that was meant to erase them off of earth
***** yeah unfortunately this is their home they have no where else to go I'm astonished at the amount of bombs thrown at such a small land which shows how evil people can become
Guess we better learn from mistakes and switch to nuclear next time. Besides it's not like they had much there to take like oil or nothing. So it was just a live fire test range for weapons between good old Russia and USA.
$$$$$ = war. = satanic hate towards mankind ... #Jesus
I didn't even hear about how Laos was so devastated by this kind of thing. I really wish history classes would cover more stuff like this. I'm Canadian and even we don't hear about this...
Because of the Ho chi Minh trail being erected through " neutral" Laos. The NVA staged their regiments and divisions in " neutral" Laos and " neutral " Cambodia.
The NVA also fired 10's of thousands of artillery rounds ( Russian and Chinese) from " neutral" Laos and " neutral " Cambodia" and from the demilitarized zone at or about the 17th. Parallel. No one ever mentions those facts.
If you are a white Canadian then you don't need to learn history to know such bloodshed, just ask your fucking brother, father, uncle, cousin or neighbour how many innconet bloods they drained in Afghanistan. Fuck off, don't show your crocodile sympathy here. Western world is a disgrace to humanity.

Just luv this channel.. Interesting & inspiring videos...Seeker Stories, You Rock !!
That's insane. Think about how these bombs are a ubiquitous part of their life. Lego blocks of utility, being used in foundations, canoes, planters and such. neat.
This is far the best Seeker Stories episode yet.
Bombs? They look like clocks to me
+98rollins what you did there, I see it. clever :P
+98rollins Yes, they do, and they also look like bombs, I believe it's called a "ticking time bomb"
+98rollins Yes, I hear the two _can_ be easily confused.
98rollins Yep, next time just ask CIA to drop all that clocks on cities all across Amerikkka so each of Amerikkkans will known what is like to see al those clocks landing on their house while they were sleeping.
But still most will either think its alien or ghost doing it
What an amazing, unique, and dangerous place! Thanks for sharing.
Your site is my new found love. Thanks for awesome videos. keep going
The shapes of the missiles actually looked pretty cool as part of the homes seen in this video. I thought the canoes made from missile cases looked great too, whoever made them did a great job! The fact that the number of bombs dropped on Laos is equivalent to a fully loaded plane every 8 minutes for 9 years really puts it into perspective though.
Well, you could safely say that this village...
...is the bomb.
Hue...Hue...Hue

i think many people had a blast whilst visiting this place
Not very funny since a lot of people died from this
Your videos have really changed my understanding of the world, thank you.
The country of Laos 🇱🇦 ! 🙏 khammone providence, is where my husband family is from. I'm from Dongnasok Vientiane Laos
This is beautiful. Life emerges from the remnants of death.
It's still a terrifying thing that Laos is covered with unexploded bombs though. If it was a Civil War why did the US get involved?
I know I’m late but it wasn’t a civil war
Loveing your channel
living in that villige would be a *blast*
Can you make more updated videos about this especially in Laos ?
That village is gonna blow up at any moment
Those bombs are not reactivated
I recently read where rats are trained to sniff out the unexploded bombs in other parts of the world. The rats are faster than people and more accurate. I think someone who can teach the locals and their rats how to do this would be a hero in Laos. Actually that person would be a hero to any place that needs their lands restored to raise food and families.
and the US champion humans rights, they don't even acknowledge this tragedy.
What an amazing channel
Great channel,exelent..
at beginning "war" me: never changes
past mistakes is always future disasters .
There's a similar situation in Cambodia, although there a lot of it is land mines placed by local regimes. I thought I recalled that they also were hit with some bombs from the US as well though, like how Laos was, but I could be wrong. Either way, so many people, including kids, keep being injured or killed because of unexploded ordnance in those and other countries. It's so sad :( It's amazing seeing how they found such great uses for it in this village, but damn do I wish all the unexploded ordnance was out of there. I wish there were links to some of the NGOs working to remove them so we could donate, share, or otherwise support their work in the hopes of increasing their efficiency so we can keep whittling down on how freaking long it will take.
It's pretty BS that anyone should have to have their lives literally in danger doing simple, normal activities, because of a war decades earlier waged by another country which was excessive in its deployments. And I say that as an American, just in case anyone out there assumes I'm not American and am criticizing the country. We aren't the only country that's done BS like this but it doesn't matter because ultimately the people in those countries get screwed over dealing with the aftermath of someone else's choices.
How fucking gnarly is that? "Yeah, I live in a bomb."
Have a Good Day!
Thanks!
the boat looks badass i would love to have it
i know!
wow at least they can always tell the time! gotta look on the positive side of things :)
this slide show is more powerful than a video.
All the shells shown didn't have the explosive charge inside. What did they use it for?
When they forgot to clear everything inside of bombs:. The village:*sweats*
That boat looks cool
I hate how the US is not taking responsibility and is just forgetting about the millions of bombs dropped on Laos.Still many people are suffering.I watched a video where so many children stepped on land mines. And every 2 minutes someone has found a bomb.

Kind of like Megaton.
The ones that dropped the bombs should take responsibility!
+Margarida Hipólito those people are either dead or like 80 now so the younger people aren't going to do anything about it, what a stupid comment.
+Nathan Jones it's your opinion. My opinion is that the responsibility never disappears, especially if it is still killing people. And you can call my comment whatever you want, it doesn't loses its logic. But in another way, your comment seems insensible and irresponsible!
Margarida Hipólito no it's a fact that most of the people who did this are dead,
+Nathan Jones of course that i'm referring to the country who ordered it!
Margarida Hipólito so why should a new generation pay for something they had no part in, you don't convict a murderers children do you, it's the same logic.
Japan and Germany have apologized to so many countries after the second world war, I don't see the Allied troops apologizing to anyone? They may have been on the right side of that war but I refuse to believe they did not cause civilian casualties and commit crimes of war. Where's their apology for all the wars they've fought?
when u find out u live in the same area as the photographer. literally
WOW
I wouldn't light a match in this neck of the woods
Cool. Thrifty in a very destructive sense. I hope that those bombs didn't cause any environmental problems. I heard that lots of people have died because of those unexploded bombs. I think vietnam and a lot of European countries have problems like that. I could be wrong but I heard somewhere that there are still bombs from WWII being found in Europe.
One shot in a bomb and the village go boom
2020: kaboom?
Also 2020: Yes 2020 kaboom
2:30 It must be hard to be killed by an unexploded bomb. I would have expected it to explode.
dumbass lol
Damn it all I can think about is King of the Hill references.
War advances economy. War improves technology. Is it really that bad as a whole?
At what costs? Do want your family and friends to be killed by a bomb?
Space exploration also improves technology and does it in far more efficient ways.Just google NASA spin-offs. It doesn't kill anyone. But it does advance humanity. So why not prefer that over war?
I think when you unify people together on certain issues with the resources they need it becomes almost certain you will have development. War is just an issue that governments easily focus on, I wish they would focus on technology, transport, energy and human welfare as easily.
War is very, very detrimental to the bystanders, communities and even the whole country. You in essence terrorize a culture, a generation, and then leave them to pick up the broken pieces. Sense of community is damaged, poverty increases and economies are wrecked for years.
The village with balls of steel
I'm doing a country report on Cambodia in class
After all this shit, how am I even alive...how did my parents live?!
Don’t smoke in this area
Funny village shooting prank (GONE WRONG)
Wow that’s crazy, why did they do it? Aren’t they thinking that there’s a chance it’s gonna explode while they using it to build a village?
Plot twist: Wait I’m from Laos too 🤣🤣🤣
I like the canoe
When I saw this vid I thought of Fallout 3, but...
Damn. My mom is from Laos.
Impressive ngl
Mind Blowing right?
The US should help clean the land from undetonated bombs. They emptied 8 fully loaded bomber planes every hour - 24 hours a day in 9 years. In average that's 192 bombings pr. day, 70.080 bombings pr. year and over 840.000 bomber planes in the total of nine years.
Megaton?
I want one of those canoes
Joke's on you, America.

I would pay $500 for a boat like that then but an engine on it,its coil! (yes i meant coil not as a typo)
a huge number of the "bombs" in this video are aircraft drop tanks they are aerodynamic and look bomb is but are not bombs the are dropped mid flight from the aircraft once empty

Many hmong people were effected by these bombs
What the hack these NGOs or rather Americans trying to clear those mines and bombs. let the generation know the brutality of those people. If they want to erase their bloodthirstiness, let them repair the damage and apologize to those innocent first.
i really wonder ...how the humanity managed to survive on this planet........sadhguru rightly says...right now we are living in the most peaceful time of the human history.....
Some Lao people are Hmong people because some Hmong people know how to speak Lao and Thai
