Guess we better learn from mistakes and switch to nuclear next time. Besides it's not like they had much there to take like oil or nothing. So it was just a live fire test range for weapons between good old Russia and USA.

Because of the Ho chi Minh trail being erected through " neutral" Laos. The NVA staged their regiments and divisions in " neutral" Laos and " neutral " Cambodia.
The NVA also fired 10's of thousands of artillery rounds ( Russian and Chinese) from " neutral" Laos and " neutral " Cambodia" and from the demilitarized zone at or about the 17th. Parallel. No one ever mentions those facts.

If you are a white Canadian then you don't need to learn history to know such bloodshed, just ask your fucking brother, father, uncle, cousin or neighbour how many innconet bloods they drained in Afghanistan. Fuck off, don't show your crocodile sympathy here. Western world is a disgrace to humanity.

The shapes of the missiles actually looked pretty cool as part of the homes seen in this video. I thought the canoes made from missile cases looked great too, whoever made them did a great job! The fact that the number of bombs dropped on Laos is equivalent to a fully loaded plane every 8 minutes for 9 years really puts it into perspective though.

I recently read where rats are trained to sniff out the unexploded bombs in other parts of the world. The rats are faster than people and more accurate. I think someone who can teach the locals and their rats how to do this would be a hero in Laos. Actually that person would be a hero to any place that needs their lands restored to raise food and families.

There's a similar situation in Cambodia, although there a lot of it is land mines placed by local regimes. I thought I recalled that they also were hit with some bombs from the US as well though, like how Laos was, but I could be wrong. Either way, so many people, including kids, keep being injured or killed because of unexploded ordnance in those and other countries. It's so sad :( It's amazing seeing how they found such great uses for it in this village, but damn do I wish all the unexploded ordnance was out of there. I wish there were links to some of the NGOs working to remove them so we could donate, share, or otherwise support their work in the hopes of increasing their efficiency so we can keep whittling down on how freaking long it will take.
It's pretty BS that anyone should have to have their lives literally in danger doing simple, normal activities, because of a war decades earlier waged by another country which was excessive in its deployments. And I say that as an American, just in case anyone out there assumes I'm not American and am criticizing the country. We aren't the only country that's done BS like this but it doesn't matter because ultimately the people in those countries get screwed over dealing with the aftermath of someone else's choices.

I think when you unify people together on certain issues with the resources they need it becomes almost certain you will have development. War is just an issue that governments easily focus on, I wish they would focus on technology, transport, energy and human welfare as easily.
War is very, very detrimental to the bystanders, communities and even the whole country. You in essence terrorize a culture, a generation, and then leave them to pick up the broken pieces. Sense of community is damaged, poverty increases and economies are wrecked for years.
