HALO Laos Destroys 750-pound Aircraft Bomb

- The war in Laos ended over 40 years ago but the people who live their still face the threat of the leftover bombs.
In January of 2019, the HALO team found an unexploded 750-pound aircraft bomb that posed a great danger to the community surrounding it. As the bomb was too dangerous to be moved the HALO team in partnership with local companies and the Laos PDR authorities set to work to safely destroy the bomb.
It took 53 days, 250 people and 200,000 sandbags to safely dispose of the gigantic bomb in Laos which could have killed thousands if it was not found by our team.
