I don't see any thermal runaway protection for the battery. Isn't that a must-have for li-ion batteries? There are only two wires to the battery, positive and negative, and no visible thermal sensor on the circuit board.
What was the reason for replacing the decoder, was it intermittent? A lot of them can be restored to working just by squiritng in some contact cleaner. Also this guy needs to get a microphone so we can hear him!
I tried that and it didn't work. I think the issue is the encoder gets worn out rather than dirty. They could save wear on it by implementing progressive tuning.
It's totally crazy that the whole receiver needs to be stripped down to replace a part which will wear out easily. 🤷♂ Thanks for the video, Andy. 🙂👍
Gute saubere Arbeit👍🏻
Excellent video and very useful

Hello, I can't find the part on AliExpress.

In my case the encoder had a dead part, no more reaction for a half turn.. I tried with contact cleaner but no luck..

In my case I turned the Encoder too often too fast instead of tapping the display to a point , where a strong signal was.
@@andreasg7834 That's what I do mostly as well... but still, after some month it happened..
please send the link
There is no link for the product. You must write to them and ask for the replacement encoders for the DSP2. It's not a official listed product.
@@sunsoundz Didn't they warn you to do it yourself, because there something could go wrong?
