    Don, you did a great job unearthing the less-known properties for folks who appreciate experiences away from mainstream... look forward to more such reviews. Maybe do a Yosemite one soon?

      Thanks - much appreciated. I get various requests from subscribers for new places - so have added Yosemite to the list. Best

    What about Four Seasons Napa Valley or one of Auberge Hotels & Resorts 3 properties in the area?

    • @SwankGuide
      @SwankGuide  Год назад +1

      Hi - I visited the Auberge du Soleil - it seemed dated and overpriced. I don't normally review 4 Seasons b/c you know what you're gonna get there. Good luck

    Thank you for provng my point. A hotel does not have to be expensive to be great. I have stayed in lavish hotels and some of them were just awful.

    Your title should not include the word Napa. You only showed Sonoma Hotels. Looking forward to a proper review of Napa Hotels.

      Dr Wilkinson's is in Calistoga - part of Napa... I tried 2 other hotels in Napa but decided not to recommend them b/c they were overpriced and disappointing. I find Napa to be be too touristy and am trying to help people find more authentic experiences and memorable places to stay. I think anyone who wanted to experince Napa could stay in most of the hotels on this list

    There is no town of Guernesville in California, so people who go looking for it on Google may or may not find it. It's Guerneville (pronounced more or less Gurney-vlile - if you get lost you might want to know how to pronounce it). Some say Gurn-ivel.
