My nine year old just gave me so much side eye during this video. I MAY have had my kids do yard work yesterday. And they can't go on screens until we've had outdoor time. Realizing how much that sounds like "yard time". Like prison. Yay summer!
There are a shocking number of similarities between raising kids and managing felons. A key difference is that one expects a six year old to act like a six year old; when a 46 year old acts like a six year old, it's not as acceptable. Though to be fair, most of the felons I had to manage behaved more like the five and under set with a regrettable number trying to see if they could get away with acting like spoiled 2 year olds.
I have a list that I have to do before I get on electronics that makes me walk all over the house, and I am constantly passing both my parents staring at their screens.
This is hilarious. We threatened our 11 yr old with camp mow-the-lawn, but the camp counselors (the parents) are to tired to teach the 11 yr what to do. 😂
The whole "doing this for my health" thing, my mom was using that one 50 years ago. The classics never go out of style. BTW, when and where is that 80's cover band playing? Would so love that.
Kim, this is important. I am 11 years old and last week I had a very scary thing happen on a bike ride. This beat up car pulled up to me full of large adult men. They started yelling and barking at me! We live in a very safe neighborhood in a small town! Stay safe!❤️❤️❤️
Sooo glad my youngest is 16 and the older two are out of the house living their best lives. I used to do all this stuff but now I've given up. These days it's all, "Hey. You should exercise and eat vegetables but I'm not going to make you and I'm going on a bike ride see you in six hours fend for yourself k byyyyyeeeee." and then I run (ride) away and it's awesome. I highly recommend it.
My mom always signs us up for activities and then gets mad that she drives us everywhere. LOL Always parents are like stop being on your electronics and when we need them they are on their phone.
Thanks guys for the video. This makes me feel like I'm not the only one and not the only mom who is missing the mark that every single mom seems to be getting
When I would make my kids go outside, I would see them hours later. Luckily they were raised on 10 acres in the mountains with the nearest traffic five miles away!
Oh, it's totally about me 😅😆 and you are a wonderful mom and such a beautiful person! Thank you for bringing fun to this day 😚😘☺ much love from the Netherlands 🇳🇱🤗❤💙
Holy cow the part with the Spaghetti is 1,000% me! 🤣 I've said that exactly thing about the kids needing to learn those life skills before they leave home and then being like, "just let me do it now." Totally been there with those chores charts when the kids were young!!
My mom started the "get paid for chores" schedule wayyy too late in my childhood/teens. She would give us about 5 or 10 cents per chore and by that time I knew "the value of money" already. Heck, I could earn tenfold of that daily just by picking up and recycling bottles on my way home from school. Needless to say, the system lasted about 3 months max.
I literally just told my 2 boys last night that we were gonna start working on their Summer learning packets and limiting screen time. We'll see how that goes..
I'm in this video, especially with the making of dinner, chores, and reading. I really want my kid to learn how to cook and clean but it's usually just more work for me when she does. lol
Daughter wanted to watch this and I'm like, "Fine but no way Kim and I are in the same struggle." Watch it and then, omg Kim and I are in EXACTLY SAME STRUGGLE. Thanks Kim! Nailing it as always. You make us look fantastic. (o:
I’m curious… when you film standing in the doorways looking “into the kids rooms”, and a talking to them, are they “actually” there? Or are you just staging them being there, and talking to an empty room?!😂 I can just imagine them not “actually” being in the room, and you’re taking to an empty room!🤣🤣
WOW! That sounds like me again! Of course, my kids are grown now, but this is what I did with them too during the Summer... Heck, I even took them to the Library during the Summer for reading events.. LOL
You buy a Kindle just for reading and select the books for their age to read based on school/ library reading list. Every book they finish before going back to school they can get a reward. Such as, going to their favorite restaurant, movie, etc.
For a stay at home mom, maybe. Our kids go to day camp all summer so we can work. They swim twice a day and play all kinds of sports and explore nature - and there are zero screens.
0:17 I generally make lunch and sometimes dinner for my family and my parents are very happy, and every one enjoys the meal. and its all homemade, not boxed stuff

As a kid, it’s fine if you’re doing it too, if you’re telling your kids to get off screens whilst you’re on screens you should lead by example.
Just told my kids go go read books whilst watching this video. I'm not even sure I made eye contact when I said that 😅
So funny and on point. Seeing the red sauce cooking while she is wearing a white shirt gave me anxiety.
Yes with the screen time and the fruits and vegetables lol
So true 🤣🤣
I was waiting for the fruit and vegetables to be thrown out because they went bad.
These are all me except you forgot the extra laundry on the floor from the new outfits they change into every time they get out of the pool. 🌊🤦🏻♀️
YES!!! The struggle is REAL🤣
As a mother, I approve this message and concur with its accuracy!! Lol!! Hilarious!!
I even say this myself and my hubby to get off the screen but then I can’t 😂😂!!
I’m watching Holderness Family while my kids are on their electronics 🤪
I have a list that I have to do before I get on electronics that makes me walk all over the house, and I am constantly passing both my parents staring at their screens.
Its tough being a kid
Tell them that they are rotting their brains...read a book...or whatever they tell you when you are on a screen lol
This is hilarious. We threatened our 11 yr old with camp mow-the-lawn, but the camp counselors (the parents) are to tired to teach the 11 yr what to do. 😂
Have you been spying on my mom?! This is too accurate!!
Me watching Holderness: ok only one video
1 hour later after watching like 20 videos: ok what video next?
You guys are so good!
I‘ve got ONE question: is this the Snackbox from Cosco you brought last Time? 🤔
I saw that too xD
This is what my mom does, and then says, "let's do chores." And then she goes to bed.
Edit: THANK YALL FOR 215 LIKES!
Sread the word about god
😂
Same
Haha same. Also there us like one or two weeks of the summer where she makes me go to bed at 8 and wake up
early but it exhausts her and she gives up.
I'd love e to have a mom like yours!
The whole "doing this for my health" thing, my mom was using that one 50 years ago. The classics never go out of style.

I’m so triggered and yet I can’t stop laughing.
Triggered? By what?
Exactly!😆
Well.... You look like the type that's easily triggered.
Idk read a book.
@@johnnymichael1804 how… because of my face?
BETA!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

I hope you told your parents.
@@nicolegrabowski5704 Oh Yeah I did! Right away!
@@nicolegrabowski5704 We have police on the case as well
That's good. Some kids stay silent & that can be dangerous. Bless you & stay safe.
@@nicolegrabowski5704 Thank you. I really appreciate it. II already suffer from anxiety so this makes it worse.
Haha so accurate 🤣 We're always telling the kids to stop doing the same stuff we do lmaoooo
Your videos literally make my day sometimes. So much ironic truth to it all, and it brings back quite the memories of when my kids were younger.
Totally accurate from my point of view as a mom. 😂
Sooo glad my youngest is 16 and the older two are out of the house living their best lives. I used to do all this stuff but now I've given up. These days it's all, "Hey. " No, just pls stop it, just never come back in here" had my dying 💀😂😂
Great video! When I was a kid, we didn’t have computers and cell phones. We played outside til dark.
What moms need to learn: to be able to commit to the things they want their kids to do. 😂 Lol. Screen time, reading... You name it.
My mom always signs us up for activities and then gets mad that she drives us everywhere. LOL Always parents are like stop being on your electronics and when we need them they are on their phone.
My daughter is laughing so hard right now because this is so totally me 😂
The book reading, camp paper change and chore chart broke me! Could not stop laughing 😂☮️
This is so me! I did this with my daughter every summer.
Yes!!! This is me totally!!! Love you guys!!!
Okay, where are the cameras? This is my mom in a nutshell
Thanks guys for the video. This makes me feel like I'm not the only one and not the only mom who is missing the mark that every single mom seems to be getting
“Concert’s in August, you’re invited.” Haha!

Lol at least we know it's world wide!! Moms are the same!!
I like how the pretzel tub made an appearance from the Costco video, haha!
Holy cow the part with the Spaghetti is 1,000% me! 🤣 I've said that exactly thing about the kids needing to learn those life skills before they leave home and then being like, "just let me do it now." Totally been there with those chores charts when the kids were young!!
The fact that you can do such a perfect mom impression even if it's to a camera!
My mom started the "get paid for chores" schedule wayyy too late in my childhood/teens. She would give us about 5 or 10 cents per chore and by that time I knew "the value of money" already. Love this! Don't forget constantly asking hubby/kids if they have on enough sunscreen (they don't)?!
I literally just told my 2 boys last night that we were gonna start working on their Summer learning packets and limiting screen time. We'll see how that goes..
Another hilarious video. Genius. I loved mom in the car waiting for the kids, yelling. Total reality!!

This is literally my parents, it’s especially the bike ride thing
My youngest graduated 2 years ago. I sooo do not miss summer reading!!
I’m curious… when you film standing in the doorways looking “into the kids rooms”, and a talking to them, are they “actually” there? Or are you just staging them being there, and talking to an empty room?!😂
I can just imagine them not “actually” being in the room, and you’re taking to an empty room!🤣🤣
I'm living for this! Seriously, with the snacks though?! Whyyyyyyy are they always starving!?!
The pop tarts and cereal for dinner 😂 when I was little I made my parents peach yogurt with life saver gummies for breakfast 😭😂😂memoriesss
I found this video and I can relate to it in so many levels..😅😅😂
My mom has said every single one of those phrases to me
Even the part about taking ukulele lessons?
@@marcw6875 you’d be surprised
But most of my screen time is used to watch Holderness videos on FB & YT! 😂
These videos are so happy! They make me smile 😁
My mom: YOUR ALWAYS ON YOUR PHONE!!
Also my mom: *stays up to **12:00** watching Facebook and reading*
Why is it that I'm wrong when I point these out to my wife but when you do it it's HILARIOUS? 😂
Tracking device……apple tags!…..love them! One for the dog, luggage, kids….purse, keys, golf cart!
So on point! Can’t stop laughing 🤣🤣🤣

This is so me and mine's not even 3 yet. 😂
Laughed a little to hard at the toilet paper change." Isn't that fun!" Love your videos so much. Keep up the great work.

I love how the pretzels from Costco made a cameo! 😂 😂 😂
It's like she knows me LOL 😂
Oh, this is hysterical! 😆🤣
Me: people should talk more.
The internet: Baby Yoda doing anything.

Glad to know I'm not the only mom like this!
I'm going off to college in 2 months so my mom really is clinging to me right now😂
2:00 Ah, continuity... Costco pretzel tub!
This is me. Especially that scene with the 11yr old "it's going so fast/just 5 minutes of alone time". Except mine is just 5.
WOW! That sounds like me again! Of course, my kids are grown now, but this is what I did with them too during the Summer... Heck, I even took them to the Library during the Summer for reading events.. LOL
Thank you so much for all of your videos it got me through this crazy year all of them all you make my day thank you thank you
I'm not the only one!!!! Aaaah! Lol
Way too accurate 😂
That snack comment hit home for me.
Ugh this is so on point so hard to keep these kids busy during summer
Omg 🤣🤣🤣🤣this is my mom. The reason I subed was because of how realistic it is and to annoy her.
You buy a Kindle just for reading and select the books for their age to read based on school/ library reading list. Every book they finish before going back to school they can get a reward. Such as, going to their favorite restaurant, movie, etc.
hahah I'm not even a mom....but this is so goddamn accurate hahah thanks to all my mm friends lol
Never was there a more accurate video.
This is so me. This is my summer. All of it. Ha!
I like how she checked her wrist for the time with no watch. That’s a good gag
Two videos in one day. Gotta love working from home. Stay safe out there My friends.
2:01 did anyone notice that she was carrying the pretzel box she got in the 5 stages of Costco video!?😂😂😂😂😂😂
You are my spirit animal. Love this.
I'll take cereal and pop tarts over spaghetti any day lol
Yes, my mom is like this, except for the reading one my mom LOVES to read
I'm so glad it's not just me 😅
You all do such funny videos and congratulations on winning amazing race!

I went to pick my son up early from baseball camp today because it’s too hot. They were watching a movie 🤦🏻♀️
I brought him home to swim.
