FYI - Pablo Cruise is the name of the band, not an actual person. In interviews, the band would say Pablo Cruise "represents an honest, real, down-to-earth individual". They had several hits in the late 70s/early 80s - "Whatcha Gonna Do?" , "Love Will Find a Way", "I Go to Rio", and "I Want You Tonight" should be next on your list. Great reaction!

I can't tell you how disappointed I am that none of my favorite reactors - NONE - reacted to "I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight" any time in the last two years. It's the pandemic/Trump/protest/looming world war anthem we NEED SO BAD right now.

OK....I used to see Pablo Cruise a lot here in Central California in the 70's (3-4 times per year). They were one of the best live small club bands at the time. They were great musicians that could put together some long instrumental jams live. Their best song ever was on their first album and was called "Ocean Breeze". It's 12:24 long song with screaming guitar riffs and solos and great keyboards that is extremely well scored. The lyric singing only kicks in during the last 3:30 of the song but is so unique that it mentally carries the listener off to some tropical paradise by the end of it! Cory Lerios the keyboardist wrote the song. He also wrote the beginning and ending themes of Baywatch and many other TV and movie scores after the band broke up and has a really unique style of playing that is easily recognizable (at the very least to me anyway). Two other instrumental songs they did that are really worth you two checking out are "Zero to Sixty in Five" and "El Verano". Great guitar solos in those songs that you'll love Rob!!!

Man... I'd forgotten about Pablo Cruise... I really loved their song "Love Will Find A Way".
edit: The chorus of this song reminds me of "Closer To Home (I'm Your Captain)" by Grand Funk Railroad... the part where they slow it down and play the sound of waves and seagulls and sing "I'm getting closer to my home".

I think Pablo Cruise, one of my favorite bands, is so underrated for the music they produced. "Ocean Breeze" is an amazing composition with a perfect piano solo as the intro. Other favorites are "Zero to Sixty in Five" an instrumental used as the theme music in many sports shows, "Atlanta June", "Island Woman", "Love Will Find a Way", and another fiery instrumental called "El Verano".

Pablo Cruise was (and is) a terrific quartet from the San Francisco Bay Area, and play a breezy, funky style of Pacific Coast rock (better known today as Yacht Rock). Their best hit IMO is "Whatcha Gonna Do," with a couple of searing guitar solos, and "Love Will Find a Way," which has a great harmony sound similar to this song.

One of the most underrated and underappreciated bands of the rock era. "Love Will Find a Way" and "Whatcha Gonna Do" are probably their two biggest hits, and they are wonderful. But to really showcase the band's musician chops, I highly recommend the song "Runnin'". The instrumental portions of that song are amazing, and the vocals and lyrics are also very emotional.

Wow this is so weird! I was just thinking about if you would ever do these guys, like 2 days ago if that. They weren't the most popular but they did have a big hit Called Love Will Find A Way. Glad you stumbled upon them. You ought to check out the group called Poco, and the song would be, "Crazy Love."
