    Using chain instead of a top link on the rake seems like a genius idea, gonna try this myself, thanks!

    • @farmerspov4709

      Credit goes to Pottinger 😁👍

    • @Jorian1107
      @Jorian1107 8 месяцев назад

      You would need to have the small wheel in front of the rake to be able to use this, if you don't have that, your rake will stick in the ground, so be careful that you don't use this without front depthwheel which I believe only Pöttinger has

    • @arnasvilhelmas7236
      @arnasvilhelmas7236 8 месяцев назад

      @@Jorian1107 Not necessarily. I have a chain fixed near the top link connecting to one of the lower arms. It essentially acts as a depthwheel. It's kinda hard to explain. Also, I can't think of a manufacturer who doesn't offer a depthwheel as an option. Every rake can have that.

    • @Jorian1107
      @Jorian1107 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@arnasvilhelmas7236 oh yes, that’s right if you have something else like a chain holding up the bottom, it is indeed fine! Good point. It’s just that I’ve seen it happen before (not with a chain, but with a top link in a sliding slot) that the tines will scrape into the soil because therese nothing keeping the rake level anymore. But thanks for your input, that does definitely work!

    I believe new "VIEWERS" should come spend some time with you on your beautiful dairy farm: Farmer's POV, they would appreciate it as much as I do!!❤ Now that was a monsoon rainstorm, WOW! If you recieved £1 pound for everytime you have thrown one of those spear point fence post, major cash🤑 Always weather, bugs, or animals trying to eat or destroy everything a guy plants☹️ I was just thinking some day you might have to install a second seat in your tractors to accommodate a little one show them the ropes working on a dairy farm😁 So nice to see grass getting blown up in the barn! Take Care Always, Thank You for a wonderful wonderful video😄

    Great corn. Does the protection for boar and deer work? We finally had a lot of rain the last fourteen days, so now I hope for a good third cut. The second was just tiny. So, your dog likes to play too. That is great.

    • @farmerspov4709
      @farmerspov4709  Год назад +1

      Yes it should turn them away, though every now and then you still see deer (roe deer) squeezing between the wires 🙃 nice to hear you got some rain, hopefully you get a decent 3rd cut to make up for the loss. We just got hammered by rain, we have major floods in some parts of the country 🤦‍♂️😶 yeah he sure does 😁👍
