- In this video you can see us storing some 2nd cut hay. Due to the drought we got only 2 loads from this field, compared to 6 from first cutting.
There is also some morning milking of our cows, moving heifers along the pens, opening new pasture ground for heifers that are outside and other farm jobs.
Thanks for watching!

Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M. We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.
Just loved it when you took a moment for reflection and sitting in the moment. Just a beautiful and peaceful moment. Thanks for the videos, which I always look forward to. ❤️🔥
Yeah it's nice to have those moments 🙂 thank you! 🙂
Lovely Video!
Greetings from Bavaria :-)
Saludos desde Puerto Rico siempre bregando
We call that little dance you had with that calf the "Texas Two Step". The hat is mandatory. ✌
Haha nice, how'd I do? 😁
@@farmerspov4709 You could teach if you wanted too. That little girl was trying to lead, though.👍
Thanks, haha, yep! 😅😁

We got our hay made just before the rain.
One of the best feelings 😁👍
Great job as always.. a general summer day on the farm
Thanks, yep! 😀
Do you play and record the music? If so I would like to see much more added to the video. Im a big fan of country music and your videos. Keep up the great work!
No, I download these from Epidemic Sound 😉 yeah I like country music too 👍 thanks! 🙂
Calfs are looking strong! Brilliant video 💪🏻 🏴
A dream farm😍
Try putting a bucket over the calves head ,use the tail to steer while backing them up, easy pease! Thanks for lovely videos
Ah yes, I know this trick, good idea 😁👍 thanks 🙂
Great Video i Love those
Well I love that kind of comments 😁👍
Welcome back didn’t know for sure if you was going to or not . People like watching videos of other peoples farms and what they do on their farms different from their farms.Hands up your far is in top shape clean a lot of hard work. How many hours do you put in working on the farm a day?
Yeah, I just didn't have much to film, pretty much the same stuff every day 😀 yeah I like watching them too 😁 depends on what we're doing, from 8 to 16 😉
👍
Nice baby cow
Thank you! Greetings to beautiful Switzerland 🙂
Love the vids. Jw if u guys still use the upright silos anymore?
Not for silage, in one we have rain water storage, in the other we have quarantine pen 😉
@@farmerspov4709 aha cool
I really enjoy your daily work routine. I was just wondering if you ever get video of any of your local wildlife. Being from Montana, wildlife is a good part of our farming and ranching daily life.
I don't have much on camera but we have as much wildlife as ever, lots of deer, and lately we have foxes and hawks following the mower for easy meal browsing 😁 luckily we don't have problems with wolves and bears in our part of the country 🙂 oh you're from Montana, that's nice 🙂 yeah I bet, which part of the country?
@@farmerspov4709 I'm about 15 miles west of Billings on the Yellowstone river.
Nice, that's a part I'd like to visit one day 🙂 or yellowstone park of course 🤔 or maybe just a motorcycle ride around the flathead lake/lolo national park area 😁
Hahaha! One of those things that I just don't pay attention much anymore. You come over we can make it happen for you
Haha 😁 cool, thanks! 😀👍
you have no idea how addicting it is to watch farm run with passion, truly amazing. I was just wondering, are those mattresses or however you call it where cows lay down covered with woodchips or that's some other at 5:14?😄
Well that's great, thank you 😊 it's saw dust 😉
They work well for us, so we stick with this brand. We raise simmental and brown-swiss cows, we sell from 600 to 850 liters of milk per day. Thank you, greets 🙂
hello. Ile kosztuje u was 1litr mleka?
@@jakubm6034 Hm, hard to calculate 🤔 selling price is currently 0,42 €
I just discover you and you'v got an amazing farm !!! And you are an amazing Farmer!!!
I would like to ask you how much field with cutting grass do you have ?
And how much land for plowing do you have ?
Have a nice Day!!!
Thank you, thats very kind 🙂 we have around 19,5 hectares of grassland and 2,5 hectares of arable land. You too, take care! 👍
got some rains in? The grass looks juicy atleast. Here in Germany its quite bad, almost no rain and pretty hot :/
Not really, just some showers last night, we have pretty bad drought too 😶 looks like its dry in most of Europe 🤔
@@farmerspov4709 yeah its quite bad, we have a chance of rain in 2 days, and thats pretty much it for the next few weeks. Also expecting 40°c+ in 2 weeks. Not going to be to tasty :P
That's bad, hope you get some... 🙄
Always enjoy your videos! Tell me, what was in the bottle you gave the Brown Swiss? I've never been around cattle, at any age that looked like yours. From calf, to heffer, to lactating cow, your cattle thrive. Impressive! Looked like a beautiful day to get the hay in. Do you get a lot of rain?
I'm glad 🙂 it contains active components that stimulate the function of the rumen, stimulate the function of chewing, stimulate the secretion of digestive juices and normalize the intestinal microflora 😉 Yeah usually, but this year it's been pretty dry, we have pretty bad drought now, we got some rain from the storms but just enough to keep corn growing. Thank you for your nice comments 🙂
Ful dobre videje maš. Ej kolk maš pa glav živine sam vprašam?
Hvala 🙂 trenutno 57 😉

Bien amicalement 😉
We have simmental and brownswiss cows and some crossbred simmental x red holstein or montbeliard 😉 Nice, greets to France 🙂👍
@@farmerspov4709 oh great, do you make cheeses or do you just sell milk.
in any case you did a lot of work and you are meticulous with the material.
No, we just sell raw milk 😉 thanks 🙂
I just noticed you got a roof built over the new silo pit. 👍🏻 Do you make your 2nd & 3rd cuts of hay by a certain time of year or just wait until it is tall enough? I enjoyed the rodeo @ 12:00. 😁
Yep, last October 😁 bit of both actually, if it grows well then we cut it after every 5-6 weeks. The 2nd cut was not the best due to the drought, but we mowed it in the hope that the third cut would be better and that we would not be too late in a season for the 4th cut 😉 you know what? I did too! 😋👍
love this vids. Can I reprint your video?
Meaning? 🤔
I love your videos. But sometimes I cannot get through all of them. Bc I get dizzy from the hat/your head video camera. It needs a movement stabilizer. Or something so it's not so bouncy. It makes me sea sick. But all your other video angles and shots are absolutely superb! 💯 it's just that head video camera. It really makes me dizzy.
Yeah I'm sorry 🙄 I don't think I could mount a stabilizer to my hat mount 🤔 are you watching on a big screen? I find it better if I watch it on my phone 🤔
Uh kaj pa vem kje so jih dobili, so že od leta 2004... 😅
May I Ask if you're going to get a front mower instead of the weights? Because I see you mowing with that "small" mower some very big fields, and I think you're going to waste a lot of fuel.... just curious
Maybe one day, our biggest field is 2.5 hectares so it's not very big. For a front mower I would need front hydraulics and probably a more powerful tractor. You are right about the tractor utilization 👍🙂
Is the field as steep as it looks?
More than it looks, the camera doesn't show it very well 😉
Najviše voziš john deer. Jesam li u pravu. Pozdrav
Vjerojatno isto toliko vremena provodim i u Deutzu, uglavnom zbog prednjeg utovarivača 🤔
