We definitely know how you feel. The weekly video grind is awful. We're only doing TWIN because of how important we feel it is to the hobby. Its been a bit since our last real FoamBlast video. The scripting, shooting, and editing is all exhausting. Love the final videos, but it doesn't happen without the work behind it. Streaming is fun and relaxing and ultimately more engaging with the people you're trying to connect with.
With the unique creations you produce, it's very likely that people wait for videos on those final builds and hope to see a new one every week...which is impossible. Your WIP videos have proven just how much time, thought and tinkering goes into any single project. I definitely would not want to see you lose passion for videomaking in an attempt to keep a schedule, so I 100% support your inconsistent videos :)
Agreed, no reason to burn yourself out on a hobby. RUclips have made great effort to make it as difficult as possible for small content creators to make any kind of 'success' on the platform. Making "one video a week" is always detrimental, but making what you want to show puts you in the right mindset to be happier about what you make, both mods and videos.
I try and do 1 live interview and 1 edited video per week but that has even been difficult. I love doing videos but I dont film at home since I rent a small space so I have to go to my office at the church and film there. That makes it tough to schedule time to create. Also I don't really take the algorithm thing into consideration. I kind of just make videos I want, title them how I feel best describes them and upload whenever. Seems to work so far by my channels growth. Thanks for the update. I have a lot of respect for you and your work. You are also an incredibly kind man and were super nice and helpful when we were able to talk. No matter what you do and when you do it we will be watching and enjoying. 😎
Yes! That is something that put me off doing RUclips videos. The talk of beating the algorithm, the expectation of weekly or multi-weekly videos. It is stressful andie thinking about it let alone doing it and you can't help but make compromises in a situation like that. I am glad that you are moving in to doing what makes you happy! Don't stress, share your true excitement and happiness. That, I feel, makes for better, more genuine and more enjoyable content. I can't wait to see what this brings.

I can only speak for myself, and with that said, thank you for all the content that you produce. I would rather wait for something you think is worth your time and effort. Your videos are like your blaster mods, they show your talent and commitment to the hobby and as a new Nerfer I appreciate the time and effort that you put into both.
I've been trying to shoot and edit a video per week in the about 1-2 hours of free time I have per week. I have such a tight schedule that I have no idea why I'm trying to do RUclips at all. I blame the winter but I am really enjoying trying to pull it off each week I've done it so far.

I m happy with what you want when you want. I d rather have videos you want to do than ' contractual obligation videos' If its fun do it. If it isn't fun, dont do it. See you as and when.
If I may ask, what is your source for old/discontinued blasters? I'm pretty new to actually making nerf integrations and I really want to us some older blasters for them. Also I live in Australia so US amazon sites aren't available to me, at least i don't think so.
I get a majority of my blasters from thrift stores (which I understand aren't really a 'thing' down there, unfortunately), and from classified listings.

I’ve never had a schedule, I average 1 to 2 videos a month and the algorithm doesn’t seem to mind.

Yeah i don’t even know why i am making the videos. They arent long, they take forever and I work on them at my own pace. Whatevs.
