I was in and out of FoamCon on Friday, and ran Mission One. We were there for everything but the last mission/final stand on Saturday. I was never really with the main horde of zombies, but harassed Rescue Squad most of the time. We skipped Sunday because my wife had never seen the ocean, and almost everything was over by the time we got back. I hope to catch you at future events.

Let me know if I need to rough anyone up to get you those days off in October. ;) I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the HvZ portion this year. I had the most fun in HvZ at this year's event, mostly because I knew I was only playing one mission, and I didn't care if I got tagged. Rescue squad just wandered around looking for zombies to distract from the objectives. We chased Zombies around for a while which was pretty fun. Hearing zombies yell "This isn't how the game is supposed to work!" was pretty funny. While HvZ is far from my favorite game mode, I think at an event that size, it's super easy for everyone to find their own type of fun within the confines of the game structure. I hope you can find a way to have fun the same way we did. I also agree that a 2 day convention would be AWESOME. The main issue is it makes it difficult for the larger exhibitors to tear themselves away to enjoy the games. I think a Friday/Saturday convention with a major game event on Sunday would be cool. You could have smaller game types on Fri-Sat. Endwar sort of tried to make this happen this year with encouraging the premier sponsors to sell at the tournament. We couldn't sell because we literally didn't have time with the tourney, Nathaniel Deal had to get home to his family, and Luke wanted to film the entire day. That left Containment Crew only which doesn't really make for a great outdoor convention/market. I know Crowe ended up setting up a booth to sell, so at least there were two vendors. Had we had more notice, we might have been able to arrange someone to run a booth for us. We'll see what happens next year. I love the idea of ongoing pickup games and competitive tournaments spread out over a weekend, and an always open convention hall where players and attendees can wander any time they want.
Oh the bit about chasing zombies relates to me on a deep level. Other than being a legitimate strategy in a tight spot, it's also fun to just be pointlessly reckless, ignore the risk/reward, and just leverage how much of an advantage humans have versus the average zombie.
It's always good to see and chat with ya for a minute at events. I too wish Foamcon was longer. Not nearly enough time to geek out over everything. I didn't even get to every table, so I feel for vendors who didn't get a chance to browse.

My only son got me into the hobby a little over a year ago and we have played in as many local events that we can find or the smaller ones we host. Endwar is certainly the largest we attended. We now have room upstairs completely dedicated to nerf and my wood shop downstairs has been completely taken over as well for our mods. Thanks for what you do! I know you said Bobo inspires you and you likewise inspire many others. The nerf community is indeed a very special one.
I think its the idea of where you have these heros sorta thing and you always dream to talk to them. In other hobbys you will probably never talk to them much less see them but here we can go fight zombies with there (hero/model) and you really feel important in the hobby. The muzzle peace was actually made by my buddy Joshua Frantz of Fantz foam works, and Blair county House of Nerf. He also designed a bunch of the knives including one of the ones you got. He gave me some that were in need of elevating to the next level which I did. Wish I would have had more time to talk to you or get around foam con but I didn't. Got stuck at my booth acting like an important celebrity LoL. Hope to see you next year at Penn State.

I wouldn’t consider myself necessarily a “member” of the nerf community, I mean I’ve never modded or gone to any events yet but I hope to with my 10 year old son. Anyways I was looking into putting the Orange Mod Works hybrid system into my Longshot but i’m Also kinda waiting for Dart Zone Pro to see what that is. My wife and I are pay check to paycheck right now so I guess I’d just like to hear your opinion to see where the best value is.

They generally treat us pretty good, so with this added hype over and above their good track record, this new offering could be a rather good deal. Here's hoping.

Enjoy being human while you can, but in the end, zombies always win, might as well enjoy that. Infinite lives vs finite ammo, easy math :)
So i tried my first interrogation. I failed. Now im left with a centurin stock and grip. What would you recommend try and attach to it? Im thinking a bulldog. If it's possible i will call it a bullcenturin
Thats actually really annoying I don't think I'd want to spend that level of money and then get taken out that quickly. Not saying I'd be a sore loser rules are rules but I hope you enjoyed being a zombie. If I ever make it to end war we (as fans) may need to figure out a defense strategy keep u alive for longer than five minutes. Not saying you could not do it yourself of course. But I bet you had to deal with a bit of a gang up do to your amazing work.
I think the spirit of foam flinging lies in positive role models like you who present such a friendly and wholesome outlook to the hobby :)
