Mine just arrived today, OMG it is PERFECT! Sweetwaters setup? IMPECABLE! I've played it for 2 hours now and can't put it down. I've recently gotten into blues paying and this IS the guitar I needed! Beautiful finish perfect setup and plays better than ALL my other guitars! Thank you so much Sire! You scored the hattrick here!
I am the very lucky owner of precisely the same guitar. Flawless and plays and sounds like a dream and for only €600,00. The only difference is that I changed the strings to flatwounds and I feel that is what this guitar deserves. I can 't recommend it enough to those who love that vintage tone although it is pretty versatile. As the humbuckers version of this guitar was not a useful addition to my collection I am glad I found this one.
I bought a white h7 a few weeks ago and couldn’t be happier UNLESS it were a bit lighter. At almost 9lbs it’s a bit of a hoss but man it sounds good and the neck edges are unmatched in the price point. I was skeptical of all the sire hype but now I am a believer. These guitars are on par with instruments 2 and 3 times their price. Highly recommend.
@@jerryhollis3968 never played an Eastman but I have played the Gibson and of course it is the original and imo the best but the sound is sooooo close it’s negligible. But it’s just not almost $3000 better than the H7. If I were rich I would buy nothing but the originals of every guitar because everything else really is just a copy but I’m not rich and the sire gets me pretty dang close. With the Gibson you’re really paying for the name, american labor and a nitro finish. Which I do love but I’m very happy with my sire. $3500 for a guitar is simply passed the point of diminished returns for me. Gibson should make a studio 335 to get the price back down to earth for us working folks who don’t want to finance a guitar.
Wow...that's heacy. The one he weighed was what? 6+ pounds! Quite a deviation. That's why I would buy it in person. Mail order guitars? Convenient but a pain in the ass if you aren't happy.
5:15 - Wait...it has a center block? Then it's actually just a 335 with humbuckers. Still very interesting, though. Don't get me wrong...p90s are the best...my favorite pickup; I would just like to see it done as a hollow body ala the Casino/ES330.
Good review of this lovely guitar. I recently bought one of these in black with gold hardware and it's truly beautiful; the gold colour is subtle and not too "blingy". One important thing I would add is that they cater well for left-handed players in the range, which is pretty unusual. I did dress the frets, but I am exceptionally fussy. I go through guitars at a pretty rapid rate, but my Sire H7 is a keeper.
I found an Epiphone Riviera P93 a couple years ago and I love it. An ES-335-style/Casino-style guitar with two P90s was a dream of mine. Finding one with 3 P90s? Outstanding. But if I were still in the market, I'd very seriously consider pitching up one of these bad boys. Especially that gorgeous burst.
I recently acquired a Sire H7V. It’s semi hollow for those that asked. The P90s are rather timid, but they sound good with my Carvin VLD1. I may replace them with some TV Jones T90s. I was in the market for an Epiphone Casino, but with this guitar, there is no need!
This company is killing it. I look forward to see what they come out with next. Good competition for the other brands to step up their game. Love that gritty slide guitar 👋
I've has an H7 for about 18 months. First one fretboard was separating from the neck near the headstock, but Sire exchanged it no questions asked at their expense. The replacement is fine (except that the p/up cover on the bridge had some of the chrome plating flake off) but it's not too noticeable. I have had flat and round strings on it and it plays and sounds great.
This just went to the top of my list. I have an incredible playing Epi 335 with fully upgraded electronics including a set of SD Pearly Gates. Couldn’t justify another simi hollow with humbuckers. But with P90s... hell yes.
Was hoping for a follow up on the Spark Go. When I seen him showing up on the various company websites it became apparent these vids are mostly just product demonstrations. It seems he will only criticize Fender and Gibson.
@@iowaal7671 to be fair, fender and Gibson's (epiphone) ranges in the same price brackets as sires Larry carltons range dont really compare well. The sires are superior guitars...... but they don't have the name fender etc attached to them. @@pablohanc I have a Sire Guitar. An S7. It’s a great guitar, I love mine but it is over hyped. My Epiphones are great too. My criticism is not about the guitar but how this channel seems to have turned into a marketing channel rather than a review channel as it once was. I’m not the only one to notice.
Mine is black with gold doo daa. Flawless and beautiful to play. The black P90s and controls are the real deal and, especially pleasing to my infantile mind, the pole pieces are in gold. No hot-rodding required here, that's for sure. We can all see, we can all hear. What's it like to play? I have mine mostly through a fifteen-watt tube amp with a bit of gain and a bit of reverb. It's the kind of guitar that you don't put it down. I can't think of a better recommendation. A real pleasure and real satisfaction, a proper keeper.
a very pretty guitar. i'm a visual artist, not a guitarist, but i am a fan of guitar music. David Gilmour is my favourite. yours too, i believe. anyway, i love beautiful guitars, as you might guess. my taste is varied, from the gorgeous PJD to the more 'lived in' look of the Paoletti. i especially love beautiful woods. my perfect guitar would probably have a Bubinga top, or a burl, of some kind. i'm always on the lookout for new guitars and i've just come across Barlow Guitars. probably the most beautiful guitars i've ever seen. i'm sure you'd love them, too, so i just thought i'd let you know about them. and thanks for the great channel. even though i don't play the guitar, i find everything about them fascinating.
Please please please get a Shijie P90S … the one with one p90 and one single coil. My second choice would be the one with 2 p90s but please review them. I want your opinion before I buy one
Would love to see you do a review of the Sire A4. I just bought the A4 GA and am amazed at at how nice it plays, looks. Sire is a great company in the guitar world.
The specifications of the Sire 7 series sound impressive. Overall, many people speak very highly of these guitars. That is why I decided to buy a Sire guitar for myself. My favorite is the model H7. However, the neck is made of mahogany instead of the praised roasted maple. Is mahogany possibly as stable as roasted maple?
Sire seem to be doing great guitars right now . Played an L7 and the pickups were great but not keen on the satin rounded neck -doesn’t feel right on a LP style guitar . Great neck pickup on that H7 , look forward to trying more of the range especially the T 3 and S3 ! Thanks for the video ! 🏴
Kind of weird to have the p90 model named The Larry Carlton, as Carlton uses a 335. Humbuckers are it for Larry. Stickler? I am. But I'm right. Accuracy counts. But what a sound! This guitar sounds as good as my 1963 335 and it has PAFs, and I love it. But this gives me pause...I would gig for the rest of my life with this little girl. ♥️
I think the Sheraton's in the same weight range and it's the same construction. I am loving these reviews of the Sires. To be honest I'm liking the budget guits.
Your reviews are some of the Best on the web. Your playing is just fantastic. I could see people buying both the P-90 and Humbucker guitars. Both have their places ! Aperio guitars in Georgia, USA just did a fantastic Stainless Steel refret on my Gibson SG...best price too. Check em out if you're looking for SS frets. No one is going to beat their price.
I had a H7 with humbuckers. Beautiful guitar but I struggled with the narrow nut width. My pudgy fingers just couldn’t fit for cowboy chords so it had to go. Larry Carlton must have the slimmest fingers😮
Good news with that is the H7V actually has a normal sized nut. Not sure if that comes up in the video, still watching it. And I totally agree the slim nut on the H7 put me off it entirely.
I got one after all the rave reviews but I must have got a bad one as the neck wasn't great up at the twefth fret - sustain on the top two strings was non-existent so it got returned. Shame as the rest of the guitar was great but they should really spot these things.
UN blvble..sounds like a 5K+ guitar! NOISY on OD? ERIC JOHNSON APPROVED...lolololololol ONLY thing id do is change Bridge to a Bucker, Antiquity,.....etc for my higher gain sounds, n lv neck ALONE
It has that same cheap sound that all the new guitars have. They have fixed every problem except for the wood. Boys, ....go fix the wood. Fix it. It's not the same as the old wood. The wood is the last thing to fix.
The H7 is a killer guitar...but would you choose Humbuckers or P90s?
Guitar info: sweetwater.sjv.io/Py0Meq
Enjoy :)
Definitely P90’s!
I like P-90s, my P-90 guitars are heavily outnumbered by humbuckers so this might be the choice. where are these made?
I dig P90’s, but couldn’t open this link.
P90s for sure!!! Though i wish they would introduce some modern colors
I would choose Humbuckers...I think Sire should also be a record label...

Darrell, which amp & pedals were you using during the slide portion of the demo. Thanks! Great vid!
A hollow body and P90's is like chocolate and peanut butter.

43 mm on the H7v 👍

noise city
