These dudes are locked in tight and its awesome!!
I like hearing the gold top truly sing again after all these years 🌜💨
Cant wait to see him play in my hometown in Germany at my favorite Club. I sure will wear my last Christmas Jam T Shirt
You nailed it Gary... Thanks soooo much ! From one Gitter Player to another... and ...keep em'' coming ... !
beautiful rendition boys, beautiful! thanks for keeping this shit alive. Peace
Thank you for zooming on his fingers in the beginning! I've been working on figuring out some of Marcus' style. This kid is amazing! The whole band is fantastic, but Marcus is on a different level from other guitarists, these days. The way he opened the song is perfectly following the original song, but he approached the notes in such a unique way...short slides, hammers, and pulls in tight little tiny spaces.
Marcus is my favorite guitarist since about 4 months ago when I discovered him. Best thing that's happened to music since The Allman Brothers Band split up, in my opinion.
Thanks for the nice comment. Admittedly I'm a bit biased, but I agree he's a much needed breath of fresh air for music!
totally amazing, that kid was handed that guitar and same day you see this. He was as shocked as all of us he was afforded the opportunity to play it let alone during this gig. What a treat , yeah he is the torch and the future. Thank God , we get to have such a blessing with Marcus and his Dad Marvin , don't forget his family gave him a beautiful Gibson Mastertone Banjo he is learning on that came down from his family, such a beautiful story in the making. Derrek Trucks and Warren Haynes are sharing with him and lifting him up , its not over folks ,its only just begun. Woo hoo. Man oh man is this good!
this drummer rips, wow bad ass. right on bro
Fell in love when they opened for ttb.
Great talent , So glad Warren took interest in these guys. They will go far. True joys to listen to ;)
Big Fanshope touche!
Amazing! New fan here. This band is something else!
Check out mine and CPM's videos of Marcus on Whipping Post with The Revivalists! He had tucked the Goldtop safely away and was back to using his grandfather's Gibson 345, affectionately known by our family as "Big Red." What an AWESOME show!!! The Revivalists are wild!
Marcus has excellent feel and timing. Frankly he puts devon Allman and Duane Betts to fuckin shame. Those guys get the gigs they do because of thier dad's and this kid got them because Warren knows talent when he hears it and did a lot of spots with him.
I really enjoy this band!
There's a great article about this night by Barry Brandon in Live Music Daily (.com), Dec 2, 2015. The article features this video and CPM's video (mentioned below) of Marcus playing Whipping Post with The Revivalists.
fantastic!
The ghost of Duane Allman lives in Marcus King. Simply amazing!!!
i was sitting right up as close as a person could be for this show during Gabba
duane channels down the glory !!
So badass
Not many better on the guitar...This kid can shred and Jack is SICKO on the drums...They all flow so well...#Livinthedream...I try to see them whenever they are in town while I can...Shout out to a great friend Bill Haun....
Nice they made it work with no one to play betts' parts besides the horn.
Nice!
SMOKING!!!

His sound looks like at Frank Marino. /sorry f. my English
that drum solo!!! ... the entire band is bad to the bone.
+slamcrank - YES! We LOVE Jack Ryan, one of the best drummers alive today, and I quite agree... they are ALL bad to the bone! The best part is that they're all just really great people, very young, eager to work hard and eager to learn!
these kids are superb and I wish them nothing but the best
MKB the best!
wow
You about got the Holy Ghost in this one bro...damn son.
thought Charlie Starr had Duane's gold top
First thing came to me how did he get his handa on it or afford it
It's in the big house in Macon.
Marcus and this band remind me of porn movie. they are in such a big hurry. slow down, and relax. Don't play everything you've got in the first couple of minutes.
Baaaaaaaaaahahahahaha! Check the Sept. cover of Guitar Player Mag! Eye roll!!!!
2 people clearly don't know the blues and are deaf !
No lighting on the trumpeter ???? The whole production team needs to be fined.
I didn't even recognize the song and I was in college and saw the Allman Brothers Band when "Rambin' Man" was the new song being introduced. These guys can play but what they play doesn't appeal to me.
+Doug H. in VA - Different strokes I guess. Glad the Live For Live Music folks didn't have any problem recognizing this concert classic! liveforlivemusic.com/features/19-year-old-marcus-king-talks-family-friends-and-the-future-of-his-music-interview/
guessing talent recruiting wasn't your major in "college"
judging by the likes versus dislikes method...you are voted off the island by a unanimous decision....
Doug H. in VA your deaf!!! If you don’t recognize that then your no ABB fan. Stick to Taylor Swift!!!
Doug , a good ear cleaning may help but i doubt it. Not knowing your Allman Brothers isn't helping you either.
