- A BIG Storm Coming! Installing Snowblower On Kubota BX2680 For First Time EVER!
Hi guys. Today I am going to install the Kubota BX2816 snowblower on my Kubota BX2680 tractor. Keep in mind that I have absolutely no experience doing this this type of work. Below are two other channels that have done this type and work and can explain it more eloquently than I can.

Hi Ovi, Right on, everything looks really great, your tractor is ready to go. Excellent job. Well may God bless you and your family abundantly.
Just watched your install video. I have a BX2380 with a Commercial Kubota front blower and a Tektite Cab and cab heat and a rear blade. The rear blade adds ballast for traction and I use it almost every time I clear driveways. The rear blade is great to bust through the city plow pile at the end of the driveway. I’m sure you already know this but always engage your PTO at low rpm’s and gradually bring your throttle up. I always let my BX warm up for at least 15 minutes so the tractor hydraulic fluid will warm up as well and not damage the system by using it if the fluid is cold. I use a magnetic block heater that attaches to the oil pan to heat up the engine oil. I have it on a timer that turns it on at a set time and it’s ready for me to start at 6am when I need it. I added an extension to my exhaust pipe after watching Ross on the Land do it to his Kubota on his channel. It keeps the black exhaust soot off the back of the blower. I added a magnetic strob to my roof for the times I venture out onto the street for safety sake. I also changed the headlight bulbs to LED bulbs for better light! I am so happy with the Tektite cab I hardly ever have to turn the heat on except for the wicked cold days. I add a diesel anti gel called Fuel Ox Cold Start to the diesel to keep it from gelling up and so far it has worked. If you get the rear blade I think you’ll really like it. Cheers from Northern Ontario.
Can’t wait to see how the snowblower works! Thanks for sharing.
congratulations on unhitching the loader and installing the snow blower without injury or damage. I thought Ed R's idea of backing the tractor into the garage before the snow was a great thought too. Have fun - I guess by now you've already got the job done👍💪
Hey Ovi you should grease the locking shaft so like that you have trouble taking it off later. Also get two blocks and when you put the auger down in the garage put the auger on the two blocks like that you don’t get rust marks on the cement floor also when going out to snowblow everytime put W-40 on the mouth of the snowblower and down the thrower as well so the snow don’t stick as much. Try to grease all the moving parts so they don’t where out fast. Enjoy it’s a beautiful tractor. 👍🙏👍🙏👍
Hi, Ovi I knew you was going to need a tractor living upstate N.Y I’m glad you love your tractor 👍🏽✅
What is upstate NY?
Call the Tractor Coqui!
It looked orange to me too, definitely not yellow.
Hello Ovi, you could name it Ovi-1 stay safe
Ovi ... you get bonus points for calling the K-Connect engage lever a "doo-hickey" ... love it!
Wow that tractor looks awesome enjoy be safe I would probably park it the other way facing the door so that you can plow straight out ,🇵🇷
Lol I can see your wife now, shaking her head, "What's he trying to do now"... Nice video, oh dolly's for rolling things around.
Just joined your channel ovi, you did awesome job my friend, i purchased a new bx2380 back in 2019 and absolutely love it I’ve had 0 issues with a excellent reliable tractor, enjoy your new Kubota bx2680!!!
Welcome aboard and thank you Mr. Hall. I have heard many good things about this brand and wanted to start off right. Enjoy your BX2380.
Nice truck
Hello I just found your channel I love these tractors and you will be using it today you said you live in upstate NY well I do too and we have a big storm on us right now I live 30 miles north east of Syracuse in Camden stay safe and have fun with your new toy lol Take Care ✌👍
Oh yeah, the snowstorm is here. We are supposedly getting 10 to 15 inches of snow here in Galway, which is north of Amsterdam. Fun times.
@@oviduran Right on have fun 👍
I am in upstate New York, and have a similar snowblower setup on a Massey Ferguson GC 1705.. I have found that it is much easier to reach the grease fittings on the front hitch and drive shaft if you hit them before installation. Also, if I am expecting snow, I back the tractor in.
Thanks for the info!
I'm interested in knowing what you consider what is upstate NY.
@@tomkeating65 On Lake Ontario, north of Syracuse.
Hi Ovi you have a realy nice Pick up Chevy in your garage. thanks for your video.
I appreciate seeing your mistakes as you learm. i hope it will help me get it right when we get our tractor.
nice great job
Ponle La Chinita de las Maria de nombre lol
Congrats, nice tractor, I love my BX2380, you won’t regret your purchase. If you don’t mind but You should consider adding some ballast at the rear so you can get better traction. Have fun with your first storm 🙂🙋🏼♂️👍🏻
Thank you. I really do enjoy this tractor. However, I am a newbie and never used a tractor before so I will be learning how to use it for the next several months. I have heard many people use ballast at the rear but I am not sure what to use. I have seen some people use weights or some other type of attachment. What do you use as ballast on your BX2380 that you find very useful? BTW, we did get that storm on Monday and am editing that video now for Sunday. Many thanks.
@@oviduran Hi Ovi, in the winter I have a rear blade on so this gives me enough weight to give me good traction and when I have the loader on in the summer I bought a John Deere 3 point hitch receiver and had a steel plate welded on it so I could add 8 JD 42lb weights. You could checkout Good works tractor he sells something similar and also Heavy Hitch. Hope this helps and can’t wait to see your video. I’m finishing editing mine and will be posted Friday morning 🙂🙋🏼♂️👍🏻
@@OrangeismyNewGreen I love your blade in the rear idea. Seems to work great. BTW, I just subscribed to your channel. You have some great tractor content that I can definitely use. I have seen GWT and he uses the suitcase plates which he sells for about $999 (US), including hitch. In one of your videos you mention Princess Auto. Are you located in the Toronto area? I am Galway, NY. Have a great day.
@@oviduran Thanks, I did the same yesterday 👍🏻. I’m near Ottawa but on the Québec side. 🙂🙋🏼♂️👍🏻
@@OrangeismyNewGreen That's about five hours north of me.
Hello Ovi nice good job 👍 your new toy 🙌🚜👈
Thank you 🤗
wow you do a good job 👏 i’m misael form charlotte NC
If you haven’t figured it out yet, back into the garage so when you pull out you are blowing snow without having to jockey around.
I have the same tractor, its awesome! If you ever decide to get a cab for the winter, check out Original Tractor cab. They have one that is fairly cheap compared to others and it can be taken off in the summer. Grappler another great attachment. Enjoyed your video, 1st ive seen but will be looking at more. Enjoy playing with your new toy!
I'll check it out! Right now I enjoy the weather and cold wind, but I know the future may be different. I may need such a cab. Many thanks.
@@oviduran I just posted a video a few days ago with the cab all installed, check it out if you want. Prob will do another video soon showing the extras I did on it. Cab with all the extras, including shipping and tax was approx $2000.
Ovi 1 or Ovi 1 tractor - Another great video, Ovi! Thank you.
Hola Ovi. No te saludo desde el Año Pasado😂😂😂,Bendiciones para Ti y Familia. Ese Tractor esta bien bonito, buen trabajo y mira q te has duplicado el labor d la casa. A lot of Snow blowing this Year,be careful, enjoy & stay well.
Thanks. The new homestead is coming along nicely.
I bought the same snowblower this year. Half way through the season it needs more than $600 in repairs. Sounds like they are going to fix it under warranty.🤞 should have bought the commercial grade 55”.My mistake.
Yesterday I broke off a shear bolt on it due to some heavy ice. I even heard it because it was loud. But I do have some extra bolts that came with it when I bought it. Will be replacing it soon.
Omg. 🥶.
Call it Naranjita My Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back your tractor into garage so your ready to blow as soon as you open the door
You skipped right over the problem trying to get the quick hitch mounted correctly. The front grill guard and it's mounting bolts are in the way and I wanted to see how to get around that problem and you stopped the video and all of a sudden when you come back it' fixed with no explanation of what was wrong! I know I will have the same problem here in the next couple of days when I do mine also for the first time. I was contemplating taking the grill guard right off before hand, but thats alot of work, especially if it's not necessary.
I do remember working it left and right until it fit in. It wasn't easy. May have taken about five minutes or so. I did contemplate removing the front grill but it wasn't necessary. I may try taking out the front grill next time.
@@oviduran Thanks for the reply, I asked my dealer if it was necessary to remove the front grill guard, he said if I had the orange one I could leave it on. Mine is the same as yours. I did see on another of your video's I think you were removing the quick hitch and you were trying to get it past the bolts on the grill guard. You said you removed the cylinder mount in order to get it off. I don't think it is supposed to be that difficult, but I'm sure I am going to have the same problem. This is not my first BX, I had the BX2350 for 15 years, but, this is my first year with the BX2380 and many things are different, better I hope.
Hola👋👍👍👍🇵🇷🌉
You can keep your Carhart, what an evil company.
Too much plastic. I wish they still made real tractors.
Where’s the plastic?
