You know, I just recently discovered this whole wave of mid-2000 anime. Animes like Witch Hunter Robin, Mushishi, School Rumble, Chobits And the strange thing is that I feel nostalgic without having seen them in their time.
I haven’t seen many anime for comparison, but this rapidly became one of my all-time favourite series after the first watch. Anyone hesitating to watch it should just dive in, especially if you’re a fan of the juxtaposition ‘urban occult’ genre. I was like you, though I came to the English translation after watching the best known in the west at the time Yu-Gi-Oh!. It was a friend giving me a copy of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series, generally now called YGO 0 or 0.5 that meant I watched a lot more anime. After all I came to anime with the western prejudice about cartoons, otherwise known as anime, being only for children. After watching some recommended Anime series, this being the first, I gained an appreciation for it and the work those studios put in to produce work, though brilliant but at a better quality storywise compare to western live action soaps and dramas.
I was 13 yo when I watched Witch Hunter Robin for the first time, as a teenager in Morocco. I learnt the electric guitar because the intro inspired me so much. Now I'm in Canada, and I find myself being nostalgic, living in Canada now
Never watched this anime, started watching animes a bit after 2002 with Darker Than Black, today i'm 31 and i'll surely watch this series just because the Opening is so freakin good!
When I was a kid, I always wanted to watch WHR, but anime was hard to come by if you couldn't afford to buy the dvds or cable tv. Everything I knew about this show was from anime magazines like Newtype USA and Anime Insider. Now as an adult, I'm finally getting to enjoy it, and its so strange how nostalgic it makes me feel even though this is my first viewing. It defintiely captures the slow paced living of back then so eloquently.

Amidst this drop of time gone dry My heart is drowning and writhing These lies that make me dizzy I took them and tore them up And with that, I became lost In a world of thin darkness
For the sake of those whom I should trust I chose to come here, a cage into which I've locked myself, and now there's no escape.
Deep inside my parched throat Lies the reason for this growing impermanence Scared of the approaching tomorrow I cower and collapse But it seeks me out and whispers to me This voice of thin darkness.

I was a teenager, very shy and awkward, sitting in a hall full of anime nerds like me, eating KFC, at a university I would attend later as an adult, WHR came on the massive projector screen, there was no better time of life.
Mine was similar, I was a teen, run away from home to the other side of the country to meet my e-girlfriend for the first time, we went into a projection room and first three episodes came in. It didn't last long, but I leaerned a lot and it made me who I am today. And this OST still gives me chills.
Un-confirmed rumor is the posting person is no longer with us...Wikipedia has all the information for this anime. And I can't find me own copy right now. Sorry.
She's done some other songs and had backup vocal roles in music groups, usually under the name Chino. It's really hard to find her music on the internet, unfortunately.
I loved this anime, I used a site that left the themes in the original language so I couldn't understand them but this and the theme to Tokyo Ghoul I could sing perfectly, as in wording not musically as I have a voice that would scare the red one himself to death. 😉 My biggest fear for this wonderful creation is that a western studio will make the mistake of trying to do a live action version of it which would be terrible. Though imagine how great it would be for the anime studio to release an official anime video for this song.......

2022, and still great👍
I'm still wondering who was the girl that got out of the car before the show ended. T__T This was one of my favorite shows and still is.
BANA... there was a time when she was just ""CHINO" (her debut indie name) and that amazing song called 千里眼 (Senrigan) -No One Knows Me-
cant find it. where can i listen to it?
WHR ... I like this song. 💕

I NEED THE FLAC FOR THIS
Hi it's December of 2022 and still listening to this ❤️❤️❤️❤️
GREAT SONG
i cant understand the words of this song, nor will i ever be able to, but i love the song regardless
It's like I'll disappear as soon as I close my eyes
I feel like I've turned into someone that even I don't recognize
Sadly, I've become so small
I want to be rescued, but instead of sighing
I vomited up my loneliness, and just lay there, measuring it all up
Amidst this drop of time gone dry
My heart is drowning and writhing
These lies that make me dizzy
I took them and tore them up
And with that, I became lost
In a world of thin darkness
For the sake of those whom I should trust
I chose to come here, a cage into which I've locked myself, and now
there's no escape.
Deep inside my parched throat
Lies the reason for this growing impermanence
Scared of the approaching tomorrow
I cower and collapse
But it seeks me out and whispers to me
This voice of thin darkness.
Amidst this drop of time gone dry
My heart is drowning and writhing
These lies that make me dizzy
I took them and tore them up
And with that, I became lost
In a world of thin darkness.
This is my childhood.
I was a teenager, very shy and awkward, sitting in a hall full of anime nerds like me, eating KFC, at a university I would attend later as an adult, WHR came on the massive projector screen, there was no better time of life.
Sounds like a precious moment.
Mine was similar, I was a teen, run away from home to the other side of the country to meet my e-girlfriend for the first time, we went into a projection room and first three episodes came in. It didn't last long, but I leaerned a lot and it made me who I am today. And this OST still gives me chills.
May2020: still waiting for the post regarding song info
Un-confirmed rumor is the posting person is no longer with us...Wikipedia has all the information for this anime. And I can't find me own copy right now. Sorry.
I wonder why haven't heard about Bana much more , I mean I love her song. What's happen to her?
WifeKirei monoina she's retired if im not mistaken?
She's done some other songs and had backup vocal roles in music groups, usually under the name Chino. It's really hard to find her music on the internet, unfortunately.
I loved this anime, I used a site that left the themes in the original language so I couldn't understand them but this and the theme to Tokyo Ghoul I could sing perfectly, as in wording not musically as I have a voice that would scare the red one himself to death. 😉
My biggest fear for this wonderful creation is that a western studio will make the mistake of trying to do a live action version of it which would be terrible. Though imagine how great it would be for the anime studio to release an official anime video for this song.......
god fucking damn it I LOVE THIS SONG XDDDDDDD
I want to rewatch this anime after 18 years ago 😂❤
2021?👀
I watched this i think around year 2001-2002, i was 7-8 yrs old that time and now yr 2020 my age is 26 i still remember this anime..
