You will be fine just use broken corner tiles on edge pieces. Since need to be cut anyway . Coming together. Owning a house is a never ending battle of updates and repairs.
You can use the same trowel that you are creating the groves with to apply the thin set to the membrane instead of the small 3 inch putty knife. Usually you want to create a center line at 90 degrees, a right angle, and place your tiles left and right from that point encase your walls are crooked or you go off a little bit in placing your tiles so that in the end, at the other side of the room, it doesn't become a big mistake that you are off. Putting tiles on tiles is usually not done. So some sort of membrane between the two is a good idea. Besides that it looks great.
Love the colour choice for your tiles! I think the main floor will look fantastic once all the tile is in! Make sure you do some enjoyable outings like hiking, swimming, going somewhere new now and then so that you don't get burnt out with your build! It is ALL enjoyable for us! ❤️
Freddie, please make sure these animals are clean before carrying them in your bed, especially the dogs ,when last they got a bath ,when last you all carried them to the vet( doctor ) for the vaccine, which keep off ticks etc

Ypu should roll the glue on with a paint roller, so you don't have any bumps of glue. One little bump and your tile will be unlevel. A tile corner sticking up is a toe kicker/cutter 😮. We bought a house that had atilted tile right in front of the fridge, oh my gosh it was aweful,, had to have it cut out and fixed. Finding the same tile was anightmare. Don't forget to buy an extra box for years later in case of mishaps. People sometimes forget that if you drop something heavy on tile, it will crack.

I’m with you Rodrigo, I’m not big on musicals either! I think seeing them in a theatre is hugely different to watching on tv though, I can’t watch them on tv at all. I have seen so many live on Broadway, when I was in New York, because I got lots of free tickets due to my situation there. I did love the Lion King & Tarzan, I think you would enjoy those two, because the theatrics are incredible.

Those things too many people say, "I'm careful. I don't need to ... . It won't happen to me". Yes, well, unexpected things do happen. Remember when Freddie said Rodrigo can't put his feet on the dashboard when she's diving and he laughed? She is correct. In a wreck or a sudden stop, one or both feet, legs or maybe pelvis or back could be shattered. It happens.

If you have limited financial resources, a geat flooring alternative is to paint a seal it. As long as you have a smooth even surface, it can turn out great! The color and pattern choice is unlimited. Just be thorough in the sealing process.
I love Freddie's request for your feet to be on the ground while driving. Even a slight accident that causes your airbag to go off will fold you up and disable you for life. Keep your feet on the ground!
Keep a damp sponge or rag near by when you install the tile and wipe off the thinset that is ontop of the tile as you go. Helps a ton to clean as you go!
Just a suggestion: throw a tarp or plastic at the top of your staircase over the rails, to cover the opening to prevent the fine dust from coming upstairs and especially on your bedding that you sleep on.
Hey guys you're supposed to find the center of the room and start laying your centerpiece tile in the middle of the room and then expand out that way the tiles are even on each side of the walls
Rodrigo & Freddie, May I suggest placing small pieces of tape on the tiles that are in the last row and round the sides (basically around the perimeter of the group that is lain). When you begin laying the next group of tiles, the first group will be dried AND able to stand on. Also give easier access to hard to reach areas. More importantly, to avoid standing on the newly lain tiles that will shift and move. We learned this our first round at laying tiles and made clear each new group. It also makes a distinct line between set/dried cement to wet cement and the possibly of moving a tile out of place.

It's called grounding, the walking barefoot thing. I feel so much better when I don't wear shoes, but this last year, due to and injury I've had to wear them more. Not bad on the tile. My wife and I have had put down a lot over the past 40+ years. One thing, don't be afraid to mix and match different sizes and style of tile. We actually had a house where we put one size in the dinning room, a larger size in the living room and another tile that was smaller for the boarder around each room. By DJ 😉

My wife and I have had put down a lot over the past 40+ years. One thing, don't be afraid to mix and match different sizes and style of tile. We actually had a house where we put one size in the dinning room, a larger size in the living room and another tile that was smaller for the boarder around each room. By DJ 😉

Everything’s coming along pretty good. Love the tile. Great choice. You need a pair of teva voya flip flops for your feet. It will help you with your tired numb feet.
