Starlite Drive-in Theater opens for the season

Back in the 50's there were more than 4,000 drive-in theaters across the country. Now about 300 remain including the Starlite here in Litchfield

RIP to Cottage View and Vali-Hi Drive Ins

The land that some of those drive ins are on became too valuable. Owners sold and the land was developed. I’m glad I got to go to the Vali-Hi Drive In before it closed. I pass by the Starlite every once in awhile, and the one by Spirit Lake, while I’m out making my deliveries.
