25% is BS. They've been saying that for nearly two years and it's continued higher for the last two years. Walmart sold their little, mini pies for $0.50 before Covid. It's $0.84 now. That's a 68% increase, and there are so many more examples. Steak at Costco has double since Covid. The touted 25% increase might be the minimum, but there are so many more products that have gone way, way up.
Prices are going up and food manufacturers are bragging about record profits. If inflation were real, their profits would be eaten up by higher costs, but they don't seem to be. Either way, investors are loving it while consumers shell out more of their incomes to survive.
I dont know how any one can Justify buying meat for protien chicken beef steak so expsensive its like wow. Like $13 for a small amount of chicken is not ok
