As a person who used to eat out all the time and put a stop to it recently I can tell you exactly why. Inflation is on the rise and no one can afford to live on minimum wage let alone $20 and 84 hours a week and some areas. It’s not a livable wage which means it’s not affordable dining activity like it used to be. The quality of the food went down and their prices went up. They discontinued a lot of the items that were really good and we replaced with the least favorite and the shittier ones. Smaller port with higher prices. Discrimination they do things like say there’s a 15 to 30 minute wait with half the restaurant empty and servers playing on their phones whenever I’m sitting alone for some reason people will look behind and they’re staring like it’s weird and I have been alone for years along with so many other people and never had any problems, it is very short staffed. Nobody wants to work for those wages which means times are longer and everyone is stressed out from working twice as hard and they give you that look like they don’t want you there so it makes you think if they spit in your food or do something to it. The food look like a child made it. Literally in most of these restaurants the food looks like your kids made you a meal on Father’s Day. There’s no high-quality place with colors no garnishes no amazing structure like artwork. It just looks like a splat of dog food on your plate, it’s a joke. Last but not least the tipping culture is out of control everywhere I go even when picking up deli subs they have tablets ask me if I would like to tip before I even order or sit down and try out the food. It’s like they try to nickel and dime me I mean really how is it that there is no money for anything?! How is it that there is no shipment of quality food? Restaurant establishments are a total I can cook it home for a fraction of the price and it doesn’t look like a child made it.
Whenever these restaurants have going out of business and closing signs and go out of business. I’ll wave to them and be like good shut down.
