why the single fuck is that room empty. If I need to work day and night, congress needs to be in those seat day and night.
Wait until you find out about voting sticks. Ever see them with those little bitty canes? Those are to press the buttons on other people's votes while they're not there. You'll see them going down the row hitting buttons. That's where the real voter fraud is.
The people who care showed up its infuriating!!!
Serious answer: I think this very same man explained that these talks are given after hours when the work of congressmen ought to be in their office doing individualized tasks at this time, and these presentations are predominantly only for broadcast or later viewing. These talks are for transparency, not for unified presence presentation.
*edit* obviously I'm not defending congress... they're useless. But specifically the empty room now is not a sign of indifference. Rather, the lack of action overall is the sign.
Exactly!!
we wouldnt be so fiscally screwed didnt cut corporate taxes from 35% to 21%
When there's a speech on spending, those seats are full.
When there's a speech on accountability, those seats are empty.
Let that sink in.

These speeches take place after official business has concluded. That’s why it empties out. Reps have other aspects of their jobs that don’t take place on the floor.
Is it open to the public ?
Where exactly is this at ?
all in favor of raising our salaries?

Majority of the debt owed belongs to American corporations. Expropriate from capital and there's no way that number won't go down

Who's $ owed to whom? Holding Congress to this awesome 3% of GDP rule would be very entertaining CNN.

These people haven't represented us in a very long time.
Never has represented WE, THE PEOPLE. All politicians are working for big business. WAKE UP, AMERICA! When our volunteer group divided up the voter roll for Arizona - my neighbor & I counted 26 “A. Garcia’s” - (no first name, just the letter A.). That was just one very small part of the list of voters. Biden won the state of Arizona by 10,500 votes or so. It was so obvious to us - there were FAKE names on our voter roll!😡
I think that should be posted all over the internet. Its perfect, save they can't print money and punish other people when they can't afford to pay their laon.

Inflation IS Taxation!
Inflation is private companies deciding that they can raise prices. These are market pressures.
Inflation is when something becomes worth less than it was a year ago. Yes there are a few monopolies in the country. But that doesnt change the fact that if you print a large amount of money to solve you're problems only leads to more down the road. The German Mark after ww1.
@@fear_the_smile961 inflation is when something becomes worth less than it was a year ago? I do not believe you are correct. That sounds more like depreciation.
Monopolies are not common anymore but functionally most markets follow oligopolies. These form the same pressures through collusive acts.
Debasing a currency can happen when you print too freely. That is partially, but not primarily, at play here.
Inflation is always a monetary phenomenon. It occurs when government prints money (or creates it on a computer). Whenever the money supply expands or inflates without a simultaneous increase in the amount of goods and services, you then get "price Inflation".
"Price inflation" is a different thing than inflation of the money supply.. They call it that to purposefully confuse you, so that you blame the greedy corporations and not the Federal Reserve and the bankers. (Although greedy corporations aren't angels either)
Check out the number of dollars in the system that were created since 2020. I can't remember offhand but it's something ridiculous like 40%.

This isn’t late stage capitalism. This is late stage Federal Reserve, and it was designed to do exactly this.
My friend... what do capitalists do once they seize enough wealth to monopolize entire industries? They build this corporatized capitalist system. This happens over and over again. It's why we have the government. They are supposed to balance the interests of ordinary people and the industrialists.
Central banking is just a way to accelerate and keep the economy running smoothly. The issue with this lending economy is when companies swindle the good faith of banks and the government. The government and banks should have known better than to blindly print money and create this bubble in the tech industry, and wherever the other bubbles may have been.
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.... I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
-Thomas Jefferson
Wrong. It's early and late-stage congressional mismanagement. Everyone likes to point to the fed, congresspeople especially. Why? Because it takes the blame away from themselves. The Fed will be the first to tell you there is only so much they can do and various Fed officers have practically pleaded with Congress for prudent fiscal legislation but the only thing congresspeople can do is run around and point fingers at everyone else.

@@meijiishin5650 I guess you couldn’t finish the whole two sentence statement.
“At least if it was, then it would be so obvious that people couldn’t deny it anymore.”
This means it would be as widely known as it is in China. A democracy does not last very long under that situation.
If a politician made the average amount that their district made, then they would damn sure fight to have the incomes of their constituency rise, as it would rise their wages. If they can not do that and want to be corrupt, then it will be so obvious that nobody will vote for them. How could you have a massive house or tons of cash when all your neighbors do not, yet you make the average of all of them.
@@rmsfootball63 We already have controls to fight for the interests of constituents. They're called elections. In your world, if they worked for a poor district and made very little money, what stops them from taking bribes?

Its a social safety net. But rich people don't ever want to pay taxes so here we are.
I did notice that despite mentioning Biden a dozen times, he never mentioned the ballooned debt of the Trump era, and he never mentioned that the inflation that he blamed squarely on Biden and the government was actually worldwide, and north America is actually faring pretty well in reducing the inflation.

Finally! We need to hear this more from our elders cause they've really let us down. Especially in America 😢❤
I have an idea. How about making congress work 100% free until they can earn enough by playing the Stock Market with all their insider trading knowledge to back the deficit collectively? Think about it, if the congress has the power to earn well into the millions on the Stock Market why not have them pay off the debt? And if they want to pay it off faster they’ll tell the lobbyists to pitch in too because if they don’t no one gets paid.
Healthy diets, healthy lifestyle. I support these necessary changes to lower costs to Medicare coverage. Processed foods aren’t healthy. Cooking should be as normal as sleeping at night.
I just tuned in because of the algorithm. But you know what pisses me off? Why are all these seats EMPTY every time I just so happen to tune into our Congress? Most of America wakes up and gets their 8 hours in a day. Yet our elected officials just go to work when they feel like it. Idk... maybe I'm trippin. But its not a good look.
wow, he actually gets the finances. representatives should've been sitting in those seats and listening to him, because they clearly either don't understand finance or don't care
They know what they've done the whole time lol, they simply don't care.

Boomer voting block destroyed the futures of the millennials and zoomers. They had no problem voting to screw you. Show them the same respect 👍
Well said!
10 years ago boomers would say stuff like "ill be dead by then" and their entire life goals were collecting their pension, vacationing and traveling, and spending all their money while they could.
Thanks boomers.
Extremely underrated point 👆.
The boomers are the only demographic enfranchised enough to matter - which is why we only see policy that benefits them, even or especially at the expense of the younger generations.
By 2032 we might be able to start making a difference
Blaming one administration, one president for current circumstances when wages haven’t kept pace with the value and productivity generated for the last 40 years shows this as something that is right, but has no idea what the problem is or how deep it actually goes and what is needed to fix it.
💯
I don't think he once said anything about any president or anything about this situation just happening. If you listen he said the debt has just been doubling for the last 40 years. He is showing graphs that date back to 1980.. the reality is trump added 4 trillion in 4 years and Biden is about to hit the same if not more.. the total debt of American when i was born in 1989 was 3 trillion... The credit system was also created in 1989.. so in 35 years we have gained 70 trillion in debt. We exported almost all industrial jobs and import cheap shit instead of making it here, the general wage has been stagnant while we gained 70tril in debt. Rich people got filthy fucking rich the poor got dirt poor and the middle class turned into the paycheck to paycheck class that cant afford a flat tire let alone a little house. Our government is singlehandedly sinking the greatest country by making it impossible to live a decent life. No good jobs that actually pay well with benefits and retirement, no housing, everything cost way too much. I mean jesus, the fed min wage is still under 8$ it was fuckin 5.50 when i was a kid and we have 1/20th of debt and inflation.
There is no forgiveness for babyboomers from our generation. You intentionally screwed the younger generations.
Im a "late" boomer - might as well have been born a couple years later and been Gen X - my economic situation would be no worse. The early boomers, along with the banksters, screwed ALL of us.
This is who we need running for president.
"Sorry" is a personal observation & not a valid apology. & btw, an apology isn't going to cut it.
Jail, reimbursement, and or exile.
This should be reaching across the aisle. Every single senator and member of the house needs to hear this. He is right, it is an opportunity... To show the world what democracy is truly capable of. Regardless of affiliation with democratic or Republican or independent. It's here, the winds of change are upon us. Can you hear the echos of antiquity?
David Schweikert for Secretary of the Treasury!
One of the most brilliant speeches in Congress!
Sorry doesnt solve problems, sorry doesnt pay the bills
So when Republicans were in power for 4 years and had all the house and senate during , and then Republicans had a control of the senate and house during a majority of Obamas term. This guy feels like they are finger pointing when he and his party is apart of the issue. Im not saying the other party is perfect, but the more we point fingers, say my way or the high way . Taxing the rich does help. Reducing spending does also help. Enforcing anti monopoly laws also help.
It's the first time I've heard him speak. He notes Democrats in his speech, but he seems to be highlighting it from neither side. He frequently points out his arguements from a moral side. Both sides haven't done the hard and unpopular things when it's clearly needed for our country. When Trump was in office, instead of addressing actual issues in the food, drug, and healthcare system the put for a replacement for "Obamacare" that was so bad it couldn't get the votes after multiple revisions and full control to vote it through. Dems haven't done much better. It seems neither side want to bite the bullet that reforms government agencies and policies for the better. We have policies that force out government to pay insane prices for basic items. That's not being fixed by anyone. Dems and Repubs have had the ability to fix these issues but haven't. Largely because people make money in dishonest and slimey ways when the systems are more disfunctional.
@@dragonhero14Because the hard truth is that cutting the budget to save this country would require such a drastic change that most Americans would be against it. Are we going to cut social security and medicaid? Who would vote for that!? But that's what's required to actually make a real difference at this point.
Kite did you even listen to the speech? He is not pointing fingers at Democrats. He is highlighting problems our country has and he calls out numerous times explicitly how this is not a Democrat or Republican issue
Degrowth is necessary and no one wants to address it
More debt than stars in the observable universe. ❤ R.I.P America 🇺🇸

This all comes down to one word: Lobbying.
I love when people tell the truth. Sucks that others don't care.
This needs to go viral. We need people mad about this. It's about time we start standing up for ourselves. I'd vote for him to be president. At least he cares and understands the dire situation we've been pulled into.

They ruined my chances at buying a house before I was even conceived and all we get is a pathetic, effortless apology?
Stop crying and apologizing and do something about it. Provide incentives for new families, get single family homes out of the hands of corporations and into the hands of young couples looking to start families. Enforce monogamy, give us sound money.
Stoo apologizing and make something happen.
I appreciate his honesty but I think we’ve passed the tipping point. 34 trillion (thats 34 million millions) doesn’t just go away. They screwed us over big time and we need to handle this the way the founders handled the crown.
Thank you for your transparency David. 😢
He spoke truth to power, and the woman behind him making faces, it’s the epitome of the disregard and contempt these people have for us. 😢
The fact that she's dressed like a 7 year old speaks volumes as well.
I was broke before this guy, and I'm sure no matter who wins I will still be broke regardless of how many hours I work. Regardless of who you blame, it won't change.
We’re listening Congressman! Keep fighting the good fight! Let’s get America financially healthy 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
But robots and AI aren't consumers and won't pay sales tax. Robots and AI won't pay wage taxes. Robots and AI won't own homes and pay property taxes.
Property tax is the most heinous tax. I own what I own, and I don't anyone a dime more than I agreed to pay for it. "Paying to keep" what I OWN is extortion.
@@calebblevins6415 Think of it more as paying for a membership in the protection union.
The rule you can only keep what you can hold still applies. Its just your government is doing that for you. So it does actually make sense.
@@calebblevins6415 Live in a house with no road leading to it then. Since the gov't pays for those roads w/ those taxes.
I think Ai is just them funneling our Valuable data that is used against us into the
"Artificial Intelligence" or something along those lines along with a shit ton of other functions. We need to stop feeding the machines physically, figuratively and financially. We're going to have start a parallel economy with barter.
The school portion of property tax is insanely high and they are hiring DEI administrators rather than teachers.
Something tells me this speech fell on deaf ears
