  • Here is my final Trains through Spalding Video for 2019, at this time of year it is difficult to produce a decent video due to the short days and the poor lighting and weather. Work has started on improving the Station, and I will include short clips of the progress over the next few months. I hope you enjoy watching. please Like and comment.

Another nice video Roy. Good to see the vegetation being cut back, just wish they would do far more on the whole system and give us linesiders a better photographic chance.

Happy New Year Roy to you Linda and David . Have a good one . Really lost track (pun intended ) of how exotic the uk rail action has got . Still prefer being on the high bridge waiting for the 9F hauled fish trains . 😊 All the best mate Bob

Lovely video Roy, @ 14:06 I wonder if they will be clipping the trees 🌲 on the other side of the line at the end of the sidings? Happy New Year Roy, looking forward to more of your videos past & present in the coming year. 2020 is the year of the Rat 🐀 The the Class 25!!!!!!! Have a good one pal 🍾

Hi Kev, Happy New year to you too, I did ask if they would be trimming the trees on the up line, but the workmen said they would be only doing the down side. I am hoping they would do them, that would make a nice clear shot from that side of the bridge. I will keep asking!

Great footage yet again but why are they wasting so much money on lifts when there was a perfectly useable foot crossing at the end of the platforms? Cant say its H&S as the foot crossing at spalding common still remains and has no CCTV etc.

Thank you David, I find that January & February tend to be quiet and I usually end up putting the two months together, We will see what happens this year.

Another great video Roy, keep them coming :D As the works commence for the new lift/bridge there, does this mean that the one currently will be dismantled? be a shame of so. Also, is most of this regular traffic up & down there..? (Apologies if I've asked before but cant remember if I have or not lol)

The remains of the old bridge to long closed platforms 6 & 7 will be demolished, but the present footbridge will stay and be connected to the two lift towers by small bridge extensions. most up and down passenger trains use platform 1 now, but down trains will use platform 2 when the work is completed.
