IMHO Alice's original band (1st 2 albums ) is the finest rock and roll band of all time. Creative hooks, raw, blistering melodic lines, balls to the wall solos. The bass player was from another planet. DAMN !!!!
Hey Tom! Thanks so much man. BDBB is my favorite Alice album. One of the best albums to come out of the 70's. By the way, I just started a Patreon channel. The channel will include guitar tab for the RUclips lessons, backing tracks, and other guitar lessons on technique, practice habits, some theory, studying other guitarists styles, goal setting etc. Everything rock guitar. It's only $3/month. Here's the link if you're interested. www.patreon.com/christophercox Thanks man.
@@ChristopherCox thanks for letting me know, Chris.. For now i prefer to send a donation your way every now and then.. thanks for all the great lessons!
Dunno if you guys cares but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch all of the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my gf lately :)
There is a guy who I think I recognize from Pburgh who has a secret "guitarists only" channel for his player fans. He's old now but once was the king of Pittsburgh rock and roll. He has a 6 lesson set of shorts called "3 string guitar lesson". I believe his channel is spelled MNAICK, but he also has one called Soul Chestnuts where he focuses of select riffs of old blues and R&B legends (think Etta James). His music has been a big influence on my own taste and style and having just found this channel of his licks and tips (at 60) has doubled my knowledge since yesterday. Highly recommend you try and find that 3 string guitar lesson set as it fits this song perfectly. It has made my life better. Explains lots of stones/mick Taylor links as well
Hey Chris love ur channel man, I’m going to see Alice Cooper next week in concert! I thought it would be appropriate to learn a song by him on guitar🤘🏻
Thanks man. I really appreciate that. Alice is so good live. I hope I get to see him this year. This is a really fun tune to play too. Killer riff. Enjoy the show . 🙂🤘
Hey this is so cool! I have a request, I don't know if you like the Raspberries, but can you please a lesson on Go All the Way or I Wanna Be with You? Thank you so much for posting this.
@@ChristopherCox Hi, well, I recommend that you check their greatest hits album. When they came out, they were hailed as the next Beatles. Of course, I don't think anyone can ever top the Beatles, IMO. Check out the song, Go All The Way, I think this is the ultimate rythmn guitar song. A lot of influences in this song, my favorite. Also check the song I Wanna Be With You. Really cool underrated band. Eric Carmen was the lead singer. Thank you.
Go all the way was a super heavy song and a huge hit in 1972, the lead singer and guitarist Eric Carmen went on to have a successful solo career, he had a song called “all by myself “ Which was a huge hit.
Hi. The only effect I use is a little bit of chorus (Boss Super Chorus). I use an Axentrix A1 drive pedal with my amp set on very minimal crunch channel. I also use an old Boss Parametric EQ, which they no longer make.
Hey Jason. Thx man. It’s a patch or setting that I put together for myself. I just shared it to the cloud. If search christopher cox it should show up.
@@ChristopherCox it's an oldie man . Had some half ass tabs , years ago .appreciate the response . Look it up , too bad , missed valentines day though . Thks.
Nice stuff but,,,Glen Buxton did not play on this and most of the songs on Billion Dollar Babies at all! It was Mick Mashbir playing all the lead stuff on here! Buxton was on sort of a strike with producer Bob Ezrin at the time, and refused to play on most of the album! Just an FYI!

I agree Jack. Those early records are so good.

Great choice, Chris.
Thx Chris!
Great job....I think the riff at around 19:20 resolves on F# not F
Thanks Wendell 👍
Thanks for supporting school of guitar👍
It's my pleasure. Thank you for letting me share my lesson videos. School of Guitar is an excellent group. 👍

what settings and effects you using to get the sound

A friend just bought a positive grid spark amp do you know if it plays this song please ?
I think you can search the tune and it will play via RUclips or at least maybe have a backing track.
Would it be possible to get some tips on your amp settings?
I would be glad to Brad. Are there any specific settings or my whole set-up?
The whole setup please. I have the positive grid spark so i should be able to match the tones.
@@bradbrown5817 I shared the preset to the Spark ToneCloud. The preset name is christopher cox. Let me know if you find it.
@@ChristopherCox Wow…thanks for the extra effort. Sounds much better than what I was tinkering with. Time to learn this song.

No wonder Nita Strauss is guitarist for Alice Cooper, all of his songs are incredibly easy.
I saw Nita with Alice a few years back and she was fantastic. Very talented guitarists and fits Alice perfectly. One of the better shows I've seen.
