- The coronavirus outbreak seems to be slowing down in China, but is everything getting back to normal? Well...it's on the way. In this video i will talk you through a bike ride around the city of Xi'an and hopefully it will give you a glimpse of how things are looking here in China.
Covid-19 is taking grip all over the world now, it's time for more action from governments around the world to try to shut this thing down.

Yep, pollution is well down. Usually Jan -March is the rough time for air quality.

Awesome video and woe seeing the streets around Dayanta empty is pretty weird. As you cant even cross the street on foot easily on a normal day. Wow

Great update, the pollution improvement is awesome, hopefully that is recognised and helps to make more changes in future.

The first scene you took is actuaclly where I grew up....my highschool was like 200 meters away behind your camera， and my mom works in the museum. God, I'm so happy to see my neighbourhood.

@@nickinchina2552 I left Xi'an when I went to Beijing for colloage education, and I've been living in Beijing ever since. I've been thinking a lot about moving back to my hometown lately since my parents are getting old.
That's understandable, at least getting back to Xi'an from Beijing is easy now (高铁）

Great video. Apparently, around 750 people die a day in China from car accidents and 4500 from air pollution! So, a silver lining may be that fewer people have actually died over the last month or so...? Rather bizarre, would be fascinating to see some studies done on this. I am glad life is getting back to normal, it shows that there is hope for all the other countries!

let's say a reduction in traffic saves 300 people a day, then 300 x 7days x 6 weeks = 12600
so Coronavirus saved 9500 people in less than two months...........maffthhs

I'm planning on going to my hometown Xi'an with gf sometime in June (I live in the US). We'll probably have to be quarantined when we do go, given how things are going in the US at the moment (where the government ain't doing shit).
Yeh, anyone who comes in now is quarantined for 14 days. I hope it will be ok for you in June. Let me know how it goes. Xi'an and Shaanxi are doing pretty well now :)
As a Local Xi'an person, every road seems to be so familiar and so weird as there were nobody out on these roads. Me and my whole family stayed at home during the lockdown and I didn't even get a chance to go out back then, as my parents are the ones who went out and buy stuffs for one week and we would stayed in for a week. I'm kind of curious about the university you're working, as my parents are also university teachers, plz tell me if it's okay to tell. Love your videos.
Personally I'm convinced that Tibet Province can Reopen their lands and lift their quarantine

Good stuff man! What camera do you use? I have a bike mount for my Osmo Pocket, but still can't get it to stay still, even with the gimbal.
GoPro 7 mate. Works really well. Doesn't need any gimbal or anything, does all the image stabilisation itself.
@@scouseben97 I have been looking at a 7. Osmo is really good though, has a few quirks.
@@2Feet2Worlds More cameras never hurt! Only ever tried my little Session GoPro, coudn't really film anything on bikes, except time-lapse. So keep that one by the wheel working away, and put the 7 up top.

You should not ride on the fast lane. There is a lane for bike and motorcycle~~
I usually do, but the roads are nice and empty and the bike lanes usually have people walking in them. I'm always safe though :)
Sorry, i saw your comment there but i guess you deleted it before i had time to read it fully. Apologies if it annoys you, actually I am riding carefully on the correct side of the road and am almost always in bike lanes, (unless the road doesn't have one) but honestly...they are usually full of people looking at cellphones, have bikes riding the wrong way down them (as can be seen in the video) and parked cars. And i don't think i rode in the fast lane at all...only when i was turning left (which is the only way to turn left) Anyway, sorry if it annoys you, but i'm not breaking any traffic laws...at all. Did all of the people riding down the wrong side of the road annoy you?
