This song is obviously right from Mike's heart... almost autobiographical in nature. Mike, you have certainly scattered more than your fair share of good seed in the field in your lifetime. Now eternity waits for you no longer. You have inspired millions.
I had a dream (and I rarely dream about people I haven't met) the night before I heard Mike had passed. I dreamt he was working on one last song with Justin and John. When I woke and saw the news, I only thought he must now be working on that song with Ray, Graeme, Denny and Clint. RIP, Mike.
Mike was an integral part of The Moody Blues, but I think they did just fine after he left. Yes, Mike’s music was special, but so was the same for Ray Thomas, Justin Hayward, John Lodge and of course the poetry of Graeme Edge.
@@JimSwanson-eo2un oh no doubt, i bought the next three albums after Mike departed, they where good albums, but not a patch on the core 7, as they seemed to lack, meaning and message. heard stuff of other later albums and wondered what had happened, and just glad i didn't buy them.
How I yearn for those yesteryears, with music like this and all the rest of that generation that we grew up listening too, never rush life, for it will be over before you even know you were part of it. All those that knew you won’t give a damn about you, until they know you are not around anymore, and will bide you in a comment somewhere, RIP, and thanks for all the memories. Breath Deep’ the gathering gloom. Watch lights fade from every room.” Rest in your reward, Mike Pinder 😢❤
Truly a legend. Such an inspiration to me all my fellow friends and bandmates growing up. One of my greatest musical heroes. His voice, his words and his passion. Such a loss..
I'd like to think that Ray is talking all sorts of shite at him (off mic, of course) as he's pouring his guts out to thousands of adoring, utterly stoned, Moodyphiles.
One of the great philosopher bards of our times.
ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THEM INDEED ❤
They helped me get through my painful adolescence.

We sorely miss you Mr. Pinder.
RIP, Mike Pinder.
Rest in peace, Mike Pinder, Graeme Edge, Ray Thomas, Clint Warwick and Denny Laine. All of you gave us beautiful music!

That, they did.
Rip Mike Pinder one of my favorite songs from Moody Blues a Super Group from the best era in music
Some of my favorite Moody Blues songs are the Pinder songs - this one actually got me into the Moody Blues!
Missing you sooooo much, Mike! RIP.
OMG how much did the Moody Blues lose when he quit the band, he was the compass by which they navigated.
It was like the bottom fell out, when Mike left.

"A BEAM OF LIGHT WILL FILL YOUR HEAD AND YOU WILL REMEMBER WHAT'S BEEN SAID BY ALL THE GREAT WOMEN AND MEN THIS WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN AND TO COME"❤
Mike was great ❤RIP
RIP original members
I remember when people went to concerts to hear the music, no crowd diving or running around. It was so nice.

Thank You Mike, Graeme, Ray, Clint and Denny for your music you gave us through my growing years glad to have been on the journey with you
Although every member was amazing (named our son Justin) Mike Pinder and that Archaic Metatron established the Moody's sound.

Yes, a legend. One of my few true heroes. I will miss knowing he is here, but his memory, his music and his family live on...
Awesome video! Thanks for posting it.
Classic Moodies lineup. I was lucky too see them with Pinder in the 70's
No Mellotron problems, I hope?
Hopefully he's no longer lonely and with his old mates, RIP.
Hmmm they weren't exactly mates 🤔
