I can certainly agree with you regarding pellet fussy I tried 26 different pellets and some where the size of a dinner plate at 25 yards then cleaning the Barrel for near on 3 hrs I got 1p size group at 25 yards but they are very very fussy rifles, now shooting accupell but not FT as they are bad as well. Good luck.

Yeah, I have the 25 cal full power U.S.A version of that rifle. Those rifles need to be tuned and regulated to get great accuracy. The power is there most definitely but, accuracy needs a little work. That rifle is really are for those that likes to tinker and feel a greate accomplishment once you get everything right.

Yes I know two friends with the sub 12ft/lb versions of the Hatsan Gladius and both are pellet fussy. Strangely enough i also have a Webley LiteW8 which was also pellet fussy, but after it was regulated seems to like a lot more pellets than it used too. I think you are lucky if you get one that shoots well straight out of the factory, but it's made even harder in the UK to do this yourself, as all the manufacturers chose to fit anti tamper to the rifles to make you return them back to the dealership. It's not even a legal requirement, but that's what we have to put up with.

Robert Lane explains in a video why a regulator once fitted can change pellet preferences.... brilliant viewing.

Question! I’ve been loomin for a new air rifle and this seem to be pretty interesting. I have the Gamo Maxxim and it’s plenty powerful. ivee been amazed at it’s derange and accuracy along with being able to kill varmints. It’s around 1360 fps. I will put it like this I rarely rarely see the .177 pellet when I shoot!
Now I would like a .22 version to shoot with close to similar velocity or better of the Maxxium but from this bull pup
So I’m asking you my friend, is the GALATIAN ABLE TO BE ADJUSTED TKR MORE POWER???? Please let me know!
      Thanks

You will certainly get more out of your rifle than i can. With the sub 12 ft/lb restriction without a firearm permit in the UK ours are good out to 30 to 45 yards, but in .22 it starts to get too loopy for any real accuracy after that. The extra power will make it shoot as flat as a .177, and we couldn't even achieve anywhere 900 ft p s with the lightest pellet for even that without a permit. They are so hard to get, as they treat any air rifle over 12 ft/lbs as they would with a .308 rifle. It's crazy. Even a shotgun certificate is easier to obtain than a permit for an air rifle, but that is was we have to live with over here. I do like the looks of the Bullboss. It doesn't look quite so heavy as the Gladius.
I am waiting for a new air cylinder for my Gladius, as it is leaking. I have been waiting about five months so far. The customer service is shit at the import dealers Edgar Brothers. I don't know if it will be here by next year at the rate its been going. Once it arrives i can reinstall my regulator and start to fine tune it again, but until then its gone into storage.
      Happy shooting

Could you tell me, would the Gladius spin that resetting target? I just picked one up ( nearly identical resetting target) and am intending on getting the Gladius. My Ruger barely moves the target but you can hear and see the impact which is satisfying.

Yes it should do easily. Just make sure that the resetting target is facing the correct way around. I made the mistake once and it didn't reset, because of it. A sub 12 ft/lb rifle should reset one of these out to 70 yards or more without any problem. The hanging bar goes to the front. When you hit the round target it goes right over the top and rests on the bar. You then hit the top target which releases all the targets. Hope that helps.

If your target is facing the correct way, then it could be that you have a more heavy duty resetting target meant for Rimfire rifles?
