Hi, I have a cocking miss issue with my hatsan gladius. I am second user of it. It quite new in look and i bought it recently.
The problem is that it miss cocking with and the workaround is to pull cocking lever slow and with some force downward.
The part below the Main Spring come down in miss cocking.

I have had this problem in the past with my Gladius. I realised that it was down to parts not being fully tightened up. It's a fine line to get everything working just right, but you may find you need to tighten things down a bit, especially if the rifle has been apart. If you rifle has had the anti tamper removed, or if it doesn't have any, make sure that the screw at the rear of the breach at the top, under the cheek piece is tight enough. If this is loose it can cause the sear and catch on the parts under the cocking mechanism to not quite catch, and it won't cock properly if this happens. The rifle is usually smooth to cock, but once taken apart all the screws should be checked to make sure they are not loose. Give it a go and see if it helps. I had the same problem last week, but its OK now.
