In Australia we are incredibly fortunate to have a few in person races going ahead. I ran a 30km race at the GC50 running festival on the Gold Coast yesterday in very hot and humid conditions and noticed the next% is still by far the most popular racing shoe. It’ll be interesting to see if that changes in 2021
Ran a solo Marathon 2 days ago with the Alphafly. Went perfectly comfortwise, and today I don't even feel I ran a Marathon. I like them more than the Next%. It was also 0° but feet didn't feel cold at all.
Love the channel and the shoes. Recently went from several very boggy, deep trail runs in the Peg Trail 2 to a road half marathon in the Alphaflies and it was like running on the moon. 40 seconds a km faster without even trying. 😂 Keep up the great work.
Really enjoy your videos! I must say I'm really liking the Alphaflys. I know some people prefer the Next % but I think I'm leaning more towards the Alphaflys.
did a half marathon in these a few days ago and concur fully with your assessment .. good tip on the sock choice .. think I went a little too far the other way .. gracias
HI Ed, thanks for the review. Funnily enough I did a 10 miler yesterday as well. I have a pair of the alphafly and have set PR's in them but they feel like I have to put a lot of work into the run so does not feel effortless. I am a big fan of the Vaporfly 4% so perhaps it is the stack height. They do work for sure but not sure I enjoy the running experience. Well done on the run!
Loving your work and i finaly started running again - started with a great 13k today in my Alphafly and my leg feels amazing 🏃 Cant wait to get out running again
I’m am an Alphafly convert. Consistently I run quicker in those than my Carbon X’s. Normally about 4/5 seconds a mile over 6+ miles. I think you have to be at tempo pace and hit the forefoot strike to get the full benefit. I still love the Carbon X, they always give a smooth ride albeit not as springy as the super bouncy Alphafly’s.
I think it’s a shoe that’s either a “yes” or “no” works for the runner or almost works against some people. Love mine. Always exciting and engaging. 😊👍🏼🏃🏻♂️
Or non- Christmas song is Low -Just like Christmas. We listen to the entire album as we decorate every year. Bonus: My husband met them over 20 years ago.
Running weather forecast for today.. Occasionally rain good 6,light icing veering moderate to good, losing identity possible near dogger, tendency rising slowly ,falling later.
Just got a pair, 2nd run 8 miles on the mountain. Forefoot soreness. That plate. Will the plate feel better? Otherwise, great shoe and was on gravel and dirt.
The midsole seems to sink quite a bit for cushioning effect but the arch goes nowhere; at the bottom of the heel sink, the arch feels like it's pushing up but not really, just the heel going lower. This might be the cause of my achilles rubbing . I'm 6'1" and weigh 173 lbs so I really sink into the heel.
You’ve been very consistent this year Edd. The results speak for themselves.🔥.
Slowly getting faster. If that makes sense?! Thanks Claire 👍🏼😊🏃🏻♂️
"...squashed like a fruitless lawsuit."
Ahhh, funniest phrase of the day!
Could resist. 🤣
No shortage of those these days over here across the pond from you.
@@levandmarthapolyakin-aaron2183 exactly what i was thinking!!🤣

Great stuff. I think they are supreme for fatigue limiting and also recovery. 😊👍🏼🏃🏻♂️

Thanks Andy. Glad you enjoy the videos. Hard work on the trails in the bog does the trick for road racing. 🏃🏻♂️😊👍🏼

I enjoy both shoes but find the alphafly a tad more structured and stable than the next%. Not 100% on that vaporweave stuff. 😊🏃🏻♂️👍🏼

The berry stuff is sooo funny! :)))))))))))
There was a great deal of debris in there! Needed the hose pipe! 😊🏃🏻♂️👍🏼
Great video! Love your work Ed! I want to see a durability challenge like you made for the Vapor Fly. Durability prediction
A super idea sir! Will get on it. 👍🏼😊🏃🏻♂️

Glad you enjoyed this one. Thanks for watching 👍🏼😊🏃🏻♂️
Great review once again ... love a shipping Forcast 🤣
Love listening to them on the old radio. Mysterious, like another world! 😊🏃🏻♂️👍🏼

A superb shoe with such cushion it leaves the legs feeling great afterwards. Thanks for watching 😊👍🏼🏃🏻♂️
My college coach (US) also stresses keeping easy runs easy! Very smart
It works doesn’t it? Leaves you more fresh and ready for those tough efforts. 😊🏃🏻♂️👍🏼
Could you show more of Yeovil in some of your running videos.? American here who would like to see what Yeovil looks like.

Carbon X didnt work for me with a forefoot strike
Musical interlude, maybe I'm the future you could dedicate a few episodes that focus more on the song's lyrics like todays's Keep up the great work!
Yes I think that’s a great idea. Thanks for watching 😊🏃🏻♂️👍🏼
A bit late to the party. Looking forward to this one!
a person from masters, his alphafly's air had been broken by running 500 km, seems the durability of Alphafly is not bad,
Well 500km isn’t too bad. Seems like it will hold up pretty well. Thanks for watching 👍🏼😊🏃🏻♂️
Surprised to hear of the alphaflys on trails. Even more surprised to see how well they cleaned up.
I think if it’s good enough for Kip on the dirt roads then ok for me too. 😊🏃🏻♂️👍🏼
@@EDDBUD Thats a good point! I am sure in Kenya the dirt roads get muddy when it rains.

Hmmm that sounds good! Thanks for your support Michael. It’s much appreciated 😊👍🏼🏃🏻♂️

Superb Mark! 🤣🌧 I read this out in the shortwave radio type equalisation with some light interference. 😊🏃🏻♂️👍🏼
Enjoyed that...you’re going to smash your HM PB💪 Tempted to gets some tempo’s but are they really going to make me run faster than my zoom fly’s 1’s?
These shoes are gonna give you that sub-90, 4:20 is bang on target.
Thanks, slowly getting faster. If that makes sense. 😊🏃🏻♂️👍🏼
I checked out the Wizard song, although it must of been a TOTP performance because Jimmy Saville introduced it! All kinds of wrong.

It’s quite a rigid shoe and the narrow arch cause many some pain
Alpha fly is one shoe I don’t have. Should I get them?
It seems a bit of a marmite shoe. Works or really doesn’t so a bit of a gamble and a high price too Andy. 😊🏃🏻♂️👍🏼
Any problems with the small heel cup, 2 cm, maybe.? It Just decided to rub on my achilles.
No these were fine
@@EDDBUD ok, just me. Will try to fix. Like the old days: some of us would cut the heel cups out of our shoes.

True to size for me.
What are these like on a treadmill?
Sorry Marc I haven’t used them on such equipment. Anyone else? 👍🏼😊🏃🏻♂️
You come to this planet not knowing such knowledge lol, keep up the good work ED.
