      The bottom tier will be a snap, but the top tier won’t cut so neatly due to the ribbon. You’d have to take the ribbon off and also lift the whole board and cake off. 🙂

    You are so lucky to live in a country where you stack 2 pieces of sponge, ice with a lot of buttercream and get a cake that is so sturdy that makes it so easy to handle. I am watching you lifting the upper tier with 2 sticks and wonderng is this sponge made of concrete? In our country we love thin cake layers that are soft, tender and moist that never could be picked up with sticks as they would tear it apart. For this height of cake it would need at least 5 if not 7 layers and a thick fillings in between that are not just made of butter and an enormous amount of sugar but much more complex and very delicious, not so sweet and not getting rock hard when chilled. I've seen on other american channels how they can flip the cakes upside down to ice them or roll into sprinkles. We have a very difficult time to decorate our cakes as they are soft and moist, not possible to flip not even tilt.
    But they are very tasteful and melt in the mouth. We have many different kind of batter as well as fillings that are not just buttercream mixed with flavours.
    You haven't even leveled out your sponge. Ok, it isn't visible from the outside but the cut won't be clean and even.

    • @SweetDreamsBakeShoppe
      @SweetDreamsBakeShoppe  3 года назад +1

      This country likes to keep it simple for the inside of decorated cakes! Most just want something that tastes good, is familiar and kid friendly. I found when I offered ‘interesting’ fillings and flavours people opted for chocolate or vanilla about 75 percent of the time. We have some fabulous cake offerings here at local bakeries that are definitely more complex, but they generally aren’t decorated this way. They usually have standard, but still beautiful, decor. Like I said, if I had been making this as an order I would level it off. Thanks for sharing.

      It definitely can, but it comes at a price for sure especially when you’re doing it from home. There’s a lot of pressure, a lot of tricky tax work, ensuring you have the correct insurance and you may go through dry spells with no orders. By the same token, you can also quite possibly make more than your current job. It’s exhausting and rewarding, but comes with no health benefits, perks and security that working for someone else might provide. All about weighing the pros and cons about what works for you and your family! 💕

      You can come live here, but the average detached home is about a million dollars for nothing fancy so it’s definitely give and take 😂

      Was thinking the same thing. That sounds really expensive. That's why I could never have this kind of business. I couldn't charge people that much. I did a two tier cake and twelve dozen cupcakes for $150.
